Guest Reviews
- Sophia (4/5): - The sheets and bedding had stains and they were never replaced. We asked every day of our stay multiple times. Management was not there Saturday-Monday.
- Mario (10/5): - Quiet and good place .close to downtown area.affordable price.highly recommend
- Ravinder (10/5): - Overall good experience
- Upasana (10/5): - Overall nice
- Jacob (2/5): - Fire alarm going off for hours for days
- ANH (8/5): - Nice place to stay. Big rooms and affordable price. Cleanliness. I like the free parking on the weekends.
- john (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay very comfortable bed I enjoyed the air conditioning. Staff was very friendly helped me whenever I needed something. The next time I go to Toronto will like to stay again and will recommend to other people.
- ASHISH (8/5): - The best thing was the parking and the works thing as well, there's plenty of parking space available but the parking is a bit away from the room. Overall very good experience.
- Ingrid (8/5): - Loved the price. Public transportation was so easy. Staff was efficient and friendly. Area and building felt very safe.
Water pressure was amazing. Shower was a little small, but not awful. Wifi safety was so restrictive it didn't allow us to access email, Netflix, nor websites for local restaurants, etc
- Jasanpreet (10/5): - Good location
- Kenneth (8/5): - Great experience during our stay. Would recommend that they have a kettle for boiling water. Thanks to all the staff around.
- renee (10/5): - Great clean rooms. Lots of space. Quiet. Affordable and the staff was helpful.
- Alanna (10/5): - Rooms were so quiet and there was free laundry! Only thing I would change would be to have more comfortable mattresses.
- James (6/5): Basic, clean with tired matresses - Basic, clean accommodation. Mattresses were very worn and uncomfortable. Please be aware the kitchenette has no glassware, crickery, cutlery or utensils.
- Vigneswaran (4/5): - The price is okay. Light is very dim, cleaning is very poor
- Chrysa (10/5): Family of 4 - great budget stay - If you want 5-star, look elsewhere. But if a well-priced, quiet, and secure sleep is what you're after, don't hesitate. Everything was clean, shower surround seemed new, and there was a nice sized fridge. There's no decor, but that's expected in an empty college dorm. There were cameras in the hallways, and security was better than many hotels I've stayed at. Cement walls kept everything extremely quiet and peaceful. Mattresses were very firm, but not uncomfortable. The only frustration was difficulty finding the entrance. It's the same entrance as the bookstore on the corner of Lakeshore and 23rd. Knowing that in advance and that you need to use the call bell for entry would have helped.
- Tiersa (10/5): - Great value for price. Clean space, easy to park at, staff were very helpful
- Kristine (6/5): Good location and value - It's a spacious college dorm with private bathroom. I think it is in a good location with great money value. Bus station is in front of the dorm, so you can use public transit to go to the downtown. My family bought one day Presto cards of TTC to access unlimited bus, streetcar, and subway for a day to explore the downtown Toronto.
Only downside is uncomfortable mattresses. I wish they upgrade bedding and mattresses.
- Lara Marie (8/5): - I would like to commend that the staff are friendly, courteous, and very accommodating. They are flexible with the request of the guests. What I dislike and want to point out is that the towels provided were not clean. It has black markings or mold stains. Some of the pillows provided were worn out as well. Also, one of the beds is squeaky. In general, our stay was great as it is a quiet place and the price is reasonable for a short stay. Thank you.
- Sheila (8/5): - Clearer directions regarding how to find the entrance to the building where I was staying. I arrived rather late at night and my driver had to circle the residences twice, then he called security, who connected me by phone to the desk clerk at my building, who told us about the side road leading to my residence.
Clean, quiet, safe, food shops nearby.
- Rowan (8/5): - The wifi was terrible, but besides that it was an amazing stay, the rooms were clean and the staff was nice and accommodating.
- Kristopher (8/5): - Very good value, beds were not the best
- Nada (8/5): - It was good. Bed is double but mattress is a bit hard (personal preference, i like it softer for more comfort).
Clean and quiet.
Lots of storage.
****Bad points:
-Kitchen is not equipped with any utensils or cutlery.
-Bathroom only had toilet paper and a small hand soap.
-They give towels for 1 person per room.
Over than that, it was good.
- Pedro (8/5): - I didn’t like the mattress and pillows. The mattress was too hard and the pillows too old
- Payal Preet (10/5): - Everything was awesome
- Nicole (6/5): - My bed sheets were dirty which wasn’t ideal, the blanket provided was falling apart. There was no air conditioning or fans provided which made the first night almost unbearable to sleep with the heat.
- Nicholas (10/5): A great suite for the price. - It was amazing to find a family sized suite for this low price. The rooms were great and there was no noise despite being in student accommodation. Having a fridge was very helpful. There were loads of takeaway options within five minutes of the building including an excellent shawarma place.
Finding reception from the car park was tricky due to the building work, but once we'd made our way to the front, the staff were great. It would have been nice to have more equipment in the kitchenette, but for the price I've no real quibbles. I'd come again if I was in Toronto.
- Bhojwatee (4/5): - Unsanitary. Sheets had blood stains blankets had holes. Parking is ridiculous. Got a ticke in the parking lot. For $75. Cant park after certain time. I need a refund.i wouldn't recommend this place to know one. Very disappointed.
- hassene (8/5): - Good place and very good princing can be improved by adding a coffee machine in thé ketchinette
- Rebecca (2/5): - It wasn’t our expectation so we left.
- Christine (10/5): - It was easy to get to, it was clean. Could have used clean towels on day 2, and cups for water. Appreciated how quiet it was considering the number of units. Staff was helpful and readily available.
- Kimberly (8/5): Better than expected. - Great location and lots of space for a family. Perfect way to experience toronto on a budget. Close to transportation, beaches and parks.
- Terry (6/5): - As a campus residence, had lower expectations; parking lot almost impossible to find, and it is FAR from the entrance. Not adjacent, on other side of the block. We got drenched in the rain walking from car to lobby,
once we actually found the lot. The student working the check in desk actually got us lost looking for the parking as well, as we had to go in there to ask where parking was when we couldnt find it
- Firoozeh (10/5): - It is close to downtown Toronto comparing to other places. Parking was very convenient. Saturdays and Sundays and after 4 pm is free. If you park from am to 4 pm the fee is $10. If you park 7-11 am the fee is less.
Staff are very polite and helpful.
Laundry is included.
- Bhushan (2/5): - Worst experience. Just coz they have limited students in the college and hostel is empty, they thought of earning out of it. There is no space to in a room. It was not clearly stated in the hotel details too at booking stage. You have to literally enter into college pass thru library or some computer lab to go to your hostel ohh sorry hotel room. Parking is in one corner and entry is literally in different corner of the building. They close that door near parking so you have no option but to walk 10 min around the building everyday. There is no phone connection. They give you business card having a desk line of receptionist. I can bet my salary if you can reach to that no. We were there for 4 days (we had no option we started looking other options as soon as we entered but all were booked due to long weekend). There was no toiletries except 2 soaps and 4 towels. No fresh towel were provided during the stay. Bed was toooooo noisy (what can I expect from hostel room) bedsheets linen were dirty and smelly. There is only one light in a room. Table lamp is there but no connection available so it’s a show piece. They say we give you two rooms and its connected, in reality it’s not. Just horrible stay and we ruined our trip coz of this stay.
- Maria (6/5): Basic and economic - Basic, clean, good shower. Mattresses and pillows could improve. Well located, good paid parking on premisses. Many eateries nearby. Good security and excellent staff
- Patrick (10/5): - Very friendly and professional staff
- John (2/5): - What a disaster. I received an email the day we were arriving letting us know the annual all suite fire alarm testing was happing for the three days we were booked and offering to give us our money back if we wanted to check out. But where do you go. Every day we were chased out of the room at 10am and the alarms went till 3pm. Some of the staff at night were not even aware that testing was going on during the day. The first room we were given had not been cleaned, garbage in fridge and under sink. Would not recommend.
- Geri (10/5): - The rooms were clean and very convenient for our use. The staff were very friendly and helpful
- kevin (10/5): - Excellent location close to lake and walking parks
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A little cold in the room but had an extra blanket. Liked the private bedrooms with common kitchenette.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like that there are two rooms and kitchen.
However, I'd prefer if there were dishes and kettle.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect location and great price. You can find places to eat at walking distance and take the train to go downtown.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very convenient, a great choice for our week in Toronto. Basic accommodation... the rooms were quiet, nice to open the windows, and AC worked well when needed. Kitchen was fine -- full fridge with freezer, microwave and space for our food, dishes etc. We brought our own items for meal prep, including a small electric kettle. Easy to find groceries nearby, eg. Rabba within walking distance, No Frills by car, and San Remo bakery! Beautiful walk by the lakeshore. Front desk and cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. No problems at all with wifi.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, clean simple and very affordable. Would stay again for sure
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Near clinical level cleanliness, kitchenette, 24 hour desk, easy inexpensive parking, proximity to lake front, 24 hour grocery, transit, and college fitness center access make this an excellent choice for active, budget conscious, independent travelers.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - nice area but not in missusaga as the website say
beds for r person not enouph for 2
nobody clean the room for 6 days just took garbage
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A perfect location for moving east and west
Transit was easy
Food stores within walking distance
Exercise facilities and lakeshore walks and runs fantastic
Bike rental shop close by
All in all a great place to stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property location was great for what we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the one complaint was the request for linen change. We stayed with a young child and when we requested linen change we were told that could only be done on their specified day once per week.
I would have changed myself if given the linens. That option needs to be looked into and adjusted.
Otherwise everything else was satisfactory.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Property felt run down and the kitchen area and bathroom were concrete floors (and not nice concrete)very bad lighting and there was crusty stuff stuck to the wall in the bedroom. Front desk was nice on check in but the girl working on our check out day was rude.
- Vibs (10/5): - very clean. Staff service and response to requests was super fast. Amazing staff with smiles on their faces all the time. The laundry app was so easy to use the laundry room and the machines are like new and kept clean. Walking distance to the lake is a major plus point as well. Lots of stores and restaurants to eat around the area as well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked the price. The rooms were spartan, but what do you expecr in student dorms. I didn't like FINDING the front door. It should be clearly marked.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Campus student residence hall. Very convenient for laundry, cafeteria, etc.
- alicia (4/5): - Horrible, the air doesn't work, there are no tvs in the room
- OntarioMom (8/5): - For one night in Toronto, the campus residence was ok. It was close to where we needed to be and the price was right.
- Simon (6/5): - Easy communication with reception lady and very quick check in
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My only issue is that the building is not marked in any noticeable way. I drove around the area and couldn't figure out which one was the resident. I called the concierge who gave good information and I was able to figure out which building I had to go to.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We were there for 8 hours overnight before catching up our next morning flight. It was perfect for one night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent value. Very nice neighbourhood near the lake. Basic but adequate room amenities. Two bedrooms: one mattress was poor, one was fine. We only needed one. Linen clean and fresh. Easy parking. Location was convenient enough for us. We'd stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good and clean room no breakfast.
Recommend.........
- CA (8/5): - It was a residence setting, clean, plain Jane, twin beds (1/room), secure, quite, parking, no complaints for the setting and price. If you use kitchenette bring supplies - only disposable cup in bathroom, no coffee maker or kettle, no cutlery
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don’t stay - This place is not something you can stay for vacation. It is a dormitory.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We stayed over the weekend at this property. The rooms were clean. there are 2 separate rooms with 2 separate beds within a room. It was very convenient that way.
However since it is a college residence it could tricky and sometimes you could get lost. Especially at nights they have i think only one entrance accessible after hours. But maybe it could also be a weekend thing.
- El (4/5): - The bugs bet in my room, apparetly they know about it, if thats the case way rent it?
- Xiaoliang (8/5): - Clean. Safe. Good location. Good value.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Terrible place to stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quick and simple stay - It was very cozzy
- hua (8/5): - Good location for my trip
- Saundra (8/5): - Great accommodations for our family- two teens and my husband and I. They got to experience a college dorm room which was basic but clean, accessible. Wonderful staff, friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you Drew and the others for giving us good directions and touring advise.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - closeto beach and pizza shop
There was a good place, but it's a little far from there to Downtown
- AHMAD (2/5): This is not place to saty. for anybody. - Rooms had bugs bitng you .can not contact front desk from out side .always ask for the name or extention of person.which you don't have it, there is kitchenette but no stove. dorm had nothing to offer.no good resaurant around.there is no free parking in week days.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The trolly is across the street. Very convenient.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The accommodation is basic but it's within reasonable travel distance to the airport.
- iMad (8/5): good location, closer to Niagara falls - clean, calm, but very poor wifi in our rooms. no TV so room is kinda boring... Did not try Ethernet connection. Other than that, it was good for the bucks
- Verified traveler (8/5): Worth it - We stayed for two nights. There wasn’t any wifi or tv in our rooms, but we were out and about al day so we didn’t mind. The bed was very hard and loud. It would have been a lot better stay if the bed wasn’t awful. We had to buy a Ethernet cable at the front desk, we misunderstood that we would be provided one if required as in required to return once our stay finished. It wasn’t much only 5$ but maybe better communication on that might be beneficial. Over all it was a cheap place to stay, but we might go somewhere else next time.
- Sara (10/5): - Nice clean rooms, very helpful and friendly staff, cheap parking, but the beds were not very comfortable. Felt safe here, and it was not noisy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice - Quite and nice .....Very good for the price ......
- TerranceB (6/5): - Whatever you are thinking, do NOT think of this place as a hotel. It is a dorm in a college and very spartan. It was ok for our stay as it suited our needs, however don't expect opulence. We stayed a weekend and there were no places to eat on campus on Sunday and very few places to eat in the surrounding neighbourhood. We ended up eating breakfast sandwiches at Tim Horton's several blocks away. If you have a car you'll be alright, but if not expect to do a lot of walking looking for food.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Dorm rooms quite clean , acceptable. Definitely no frills. Directions from Expedia re where to check in would be appreciated.
Would stay again as it is close to our destination.
- lanky (8/5): - Very basic - no tv - although Wi-Fi worked in our room - the listing said it wouldn't. for us a convenient location
- Verified traveler (8/5): Unique place to stay! - What a great idea to rent out dorm rooms in the summer! We loved staying here. The rooms were quiet and reasonably priced. Although the beds weren't overly comfortable, we had an excellent night of sleep in our little suite. It's also in a good location, conveniently located on the 501 tramline, which takes you right into Queen St. A very memorable Toronto experience!
I would highly recommend putting up some signage though. The address in GPS took us to the large parking lot at the back, and we wandered through random school hallways for close to an hour before finding the right entrance. Signs in the parking lot and in front of the correct entrance would be a big help!
- Steve (6/5): - inexpensive and perfect for what I wanted - a bed to sleep in, as I was out and about most of time. Basic dorm room, but clean, quiet and convenient location
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Terrible, it was my worst stay at all. The room is not clean, the carpet smells not good, bugs everywhere un first floor. I don't recommand this hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Location and Staff fine...but that's about it. - Some problems with this otherwise affordable option:
1. No information shared re. parking or access. Hard to find entrance, many doors locked at unexpected times. And NO information shared on Expedia or anywhere else re. this.
2. Free internet? Not in our room.
3. Advertised as a living space, with kitchen. No dishes/cutlery available in room...or anywhere else.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing! - It was great! Loved it
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent price/quality - No, you won't get room service, superb furnishing or big fluffy towels: --> This is a student residence <--
We have been travelling with a family in various motels and a Hilton hotel making lunches and I can say that this room with a kitchen sink and a FULL height fridge is a real blessing.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worse than hell - This hotel was the grimiest dump. Staying here was impossible, we ended up going elsewhere because it was literally a D U M P. My money was said to be refunded on Thursday of last week today is Thursday of a new week and I still haven't received my money! Don't let the pictures full you its a scam. And don't get me started on customer service. If you are looking for the rudest customer service then please by all means book that place because they are rude AF.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I don't want to say but the review forces me to provide at least 50 characters so...
It was a bad experience for me, I saw 2 bugs in kitchen and in bathroom. Grey concrete floor is in both areas but still much better in bedrooms as they are covered with low quality carpet and is very dirty. You can see marks, paint, gum etc on it and even food particles and dirt. Don't know when was the last time it got vacuumed. Beds are low quality IKEA type bed and make noise even with your lslite movement. The list can go longer but I think it is more than enough for any one want to know....
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic room, low cost - Good price, basic room. Separate bedrooms was nice. Not much in the local area.
- YULIZZA (10/5): Great affordable room - Big clean room.
- Raymond (6/5): - The rooms were comfortable. We couldn't stay the 2 nights we payed for, our plans we had to change, we suffer from anxiety attacks and the horrible traffic on the QEW. We needed to leave as soon as possible. The desk clerk said we would get a refund from hotel.com, we haven't received it yet its been 4 days.
- Verified traveler (4/5): NOT CLEANED ! - The bedding was clean and they left enough towels face cloths for the 4 guests but the kitchenette floor was filthy. When I noticed what was on the floor in front of the bathroom door and up the inside of door I was disgusted but at 10:30pm when the kids were sleeping we just avoided the area . The microwave did not work and when we pulled it out to see if it was in plugged it was filthy underneath and we found condom packages . We understand its not the Hilton or Holiday inn and it is a college campus but if they are going to rent the dorm rooms then wash the floors and check them before renting, I didn't mind the coffee that had tried on the floor but human waste is something else. When I told the staff in the morning when we were leaving I said they should make sure the cleaning staff was made aware and clean it before renting to the next person. I believe the cleaners were 2 other students who were sitting on the other side of the counter. Hotel.com said they could not refund my money but called the college while I was on the phone. They gave me 25.00 off another booking but I have yet to hear from the college. I took pics so if they wanted proof I had it. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I'll pay the extra next time. I won't post the pics...disgusting
- Julia (10/5): great stay, great price! - good location, friendly and helpful staff!
- Dennis (10/5): Thumbs up - Staff was amazing and friendly. We will book again if we are in Toronto area. Budget friendly dorm.
- Alicia (10/5): Smooth check in - Room was clean and comfortable, check in was easy and staff were friendly
