Not a place to spend more than one night at, as there isnt really an area to relax and sit. Only 2 one-seater couches for TV. Braai facilities,but no tongs, etc.

When we arrived at about 20:00 as arranged with the guesthouse, they gave our room to other guests. When we told the receptionist that we made a reservation through Bookings.com, he said that he has other "budget" rooms available or that we must go and look if perhaps we can get accommodation at another guesthouse. We drove around but could not find any other accommodation as everything was full.We then returned to the guesthouse and demanded our room back. Finally, when we got into the room, we were so tired.Nothing inside the room looked anything that was in the pictures on the Bookings.com app.The microwave oven electric cable is open and a huge shocking hazard. We were just so disappointed with our stay.I would definitely not recommend it to anyone. It was our first trip to Ficksburg and would definitely not stay at this guesthouse again.

I booked accommodation at The Green Acorn Guest House, but I was allocated to a different guest house, which was further away. This was done without my consent, and I was told upon my arrival about the newly assigned accommodation. When I inquired about this, I was told that allegedly, there were double bookings, but I was not informed about the changes. So, due to additional distance, I incurred damages, and I had to use additional transport resources. They offered me R150 lunch voucher for the inconvenience caused, which I think was an insult to me considering how much "unplanned" transport resources I used because of being assigned a different guest house than the one I had booked. I did not accept it. When I communicated about a reasonable compensation, they never replied to my messages. I hope booking.com will resolve this dispute for appropriate recompensation. I would not recommend this accommodation. Book it at your own risk, knowing that something like this can happen to you.

The property is also very conveniently place, near all amenities. The staff is always around and goes an extra mile to make your stay to be as wonderful! I had the opportunity to have lunch in the restaurant and it was scrumptious and filling! The cocktails are top tier and very reasonably priced. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was amazing with wonderful service and views to capture wonderful memories with friends and family. I loved everything about the property! 😅
