Guest Reviews
- Linda Ann Dalrymple (9/5): Loved my stay so much, I stayed an extra week. - The view is amazing when there are no clouds in the area. All the staff were very helpful. The bed was medium soft. There was a fan in the room. There was housekeeping every day. The bathroom is a wet room which is common in SEA. There was a clean kettle and water provided. Toiletries like shampoo, toothbrush, etc also provided. It's about a 15 minute walk to the town center. Plenty of restaurants, massage places, and mini-marts nearby. I really enjoyed Yummy Restaurant about a 5 minute walk away. I am a slow traveler, and I liked the place so much I booked an extra week. The reception staff speak English. Highly recommend. Things to be aware of: I had room 102 which has a better view. When the clouds weren't out, I had a decent view of the valley from my bed or settee. The rooms on either side had an obstructed view, although a beautiful terrace is very close which looks over the valley, rice fields, and mountains. There is no a/c or heater, but a fan was provided. I was there at a time when I didn't need the a/c or heater. The room can get very damp, especially when it rains. A dehumidifier would be a great addition.

- GUY (6/5): Moyen - Chambre correcte avec balcon Pas de petit déjeuner. Peu d informations touristiques.
Prix trop élevé pour la prestation
- vinoth Kumar (10/5): Everything was top-notch—from the stunning views to the spacious, clean rooms. The wooden interiors added a cozy charm, - The View Nothing
- Laclavetine (10/5): -

- Fabio (7/5): Good - Nice room with private bathroom and comfortable bed. Clean, nice staff and good location.
- Arven (10/5): Exceptional - The location is very near all our target tourist spots to visit.
The room is clean and the view is ok (unfortunately foggy furing our stay tho)
The service is very good. Evry staff is accomodating and kind and always smile.
Heater/aircon is working No extra Bottled water.
- Kate (8/5): Serene, quaint respite. - Lovely view directly outside of my room! About 10-15 min away walk from the city centre! Walk will be challenging during rain.
- Hazel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jana (8/5): Very good - Nice location, big bedroom, good beds. Languagebarier.
- Thamizh (9/5): Superb -
- Jake (7/5): Good -
- Emily (8/5): Very good -
- Kubala (7/5): Good - Good price and a great view of the mountains. The beds were nice and large. The room felt damp/musty and didn't have air conditioning or heat.
- Marilen (9/5): Superb - Arrived at 4am and our room key was already prepared at the reception area. The staff helped us bring our luggages in our room ( no elevator).the room was clean, basic needs provided. Has a view of the mountains . I hope check out time will be a little later than 10am.
- Ethan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ewald (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (9/5): The view, space and price!!! - A bit further out from town, however there are good restaurants near by. The reason you are booking this room though is the amazing view, the space, the comfortable beds and the great price!!
We got the triple room and it was amazing! I couldn’t believe the view from our beds!
- Katie (6/5): Not bad but not great - Convenient location - 8 min walk from the hustle and bustle of Sapa town. Comfortable room and bed. It was a bit of treat after 2 months travelling to watch a little Netflix at night! Good value for money considering how touristy the area is. Not exactly the warmest of welcomes at check in. The views were nice if you are able to over look the small landfill site. The fire alarm went off at 2:30am and no staff were around to confirm if it was a false alarm or if we should all evacuate.
- Nadia (9/5): Superb - Although weather was not on our side but the stay makes the trip even memorable ^^ *highly recommended The flooring is tile. Hope to consider replacing some carpet for extra comfort.
- Thị (9/5): Superb - Good location. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Chauhan (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Svenja (9/5): Superb -
- Malie (8/5): Well worth the value - I liked that it was cleaned regularly No fridge. Also too many stairs
- Joan (10/5): Will probably book again if I’m in SaPa. - 1) We had a little balcony and a good view! Though it means that you have to walk 750m from the center every time you decide to go out as it was quite far from everyone.
2) The staff were nice! As we had to wait for the check-in time coz the room wasn’t available yet, they let us use the main bathroom to freshen up.
3) They arranged laundry service at an affordable price. We were also able to get the clothes on the same day. There is nothing that we don’t like in this hotel. Well, except that they don’t serve breakfast and there is no drinking water in the room.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Courtney (10/5): Exceptional - I left something in my room and they put it on an overnight bus to Hanoi for me to pick up. So helpful and great place to stay.
- Vincent (9/5): Superb - The views were incredible. Great location, walking distance to the center. I wish the beds had curtains, but it definitely wasn’t a deal breaker. Still very comfortable!
- Hue (10/5): i'm so in love with the balcony & the mountain view!! - I stayed 3 nights with my family in a triple room. It has an amazing room with excellent view over the mountain. I can see the top of Fansipan Mount (Buddha statue, Temple) from my balcony!! I prefer to have a mini fridge to store cold drink but they don't have it there.
- Tracy (10/5): Memorable ♥️♥️♥️ - Everything is perfect. The room is clean and have beautiful scenery . The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is nearest to the town centre and moana sapa. Nothing.
- Ninh (10/5): Good place, safe location, pretty close to center, nice view, clean - Nice view N/A
- Alpa (7/5): Good - The location is beautiful surrounded by mountains and greenary It's way far than main area. Also again the check in check out times should change for all hotels in Vietnam as people travelling from abroad reach in the morning but all the hotels asked us to wait till 1-2pm which is why we wasted our half day and couldn't explore much.
- Edee (9/5): great location if you’re hiking to Cat Cat village the natural trekking trail is just outside to the right about 50 mete - great view no heat or a/c however there was an electric mattress pad
- Xuan (9/5): Value for money with a beautiful view - Room size is better than normal.
The hosts were super kind & helped us rent bikes, even when we need to change another in the next day.
Mountain view was amazing for this value. A little bit far from the town central
- Eva (8/5): Very good -
- Singh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chaitra (10/5): Exceptional - This homestay is close to sapa station for Fansipan mountain and number of other must see attractions in Sapa as cat cat village .The rooms were clean and really comfy.
The host was really kind and helped us book bus to Hanoi and dropped us to bus stop. The view from room is serene. This hotel comes highly recommended by me for anyone visiting downtown.
- Sabine (9/5): Best view and nice staff - The best thing is the view, room size is good, hot showers and comfortable bed with clean sheets and towels. There was also toiletries, hairdryer and a kettle to use as well. laundry service is good. Staff is also nice and it’s walking distance to the center and restaurants. Also good start for trekking to the villages. There’s a lot of noise from the road - traffic, music etc. and the room was cold at night. There’s no food/drinks available at the property. could also use a cleaner in the window corners - spider webs.
- Claire (2/5): - Room was completely damp and smelled of mildew. Paper thin walls. Room was freezing due to dampness. Karaoke bar next door can be heard full blast until late. Would not recommend
- Sri (9/5): Superb -
- Loi (9/5): Superb - 1. Fantastic mountain view. Still relatively far from the town centre
- Diana (9/5): Nice views, bug and comfy room but no much facilities - The views were amazing. Comfy bed and clean... Good location also The staff didn't know much english so it was difficult to comunicate. They said also they had breakfast but there wasn't any available. There was no water available so if you go back to your room from town without water you won't have available at the hotel, this was really disappointing
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Awesome views! Friendly service and great location
- Siqi (10/5): - It was a great stay at Sapa Odyssey Hostel! Since we stayed during October, it was regretful that the view was covered by the fog. However, the hostel staff are very nice and kept us warm throughout the stay. Though there's a bit distance to the centre, car hiring service is not a problem, with reasonable price.
- Adri (8/5): Fabulous view for a budged hotel - I could not believe my eyes!! Fabulous place, with an amazing balcony facing the valley. I just thought the breakfast was a bit too poor.
- Karina (10/5): Amazing view - We got the double bed room. Amazing view when weather is good. And Receptionists are very helpful with taxi booking and recommendations too.
