Guest Reviews
- Alistair (10/5): - Every aspect of a stay at Broadwater is 5 star.
David is the perfect host, and his attention to detail is second to none.
Chatting with other guests, I have often heard just how impressed they are with the rooms, the furnishings, and all the little extras. I have even heard how some regular visitors arrange their holiday around vacancies here. There's nothing to dislike.
- John (10/5): - What us there not to like about my 4 day stay in the Broadwater upon arrival my luggage was carried upstairs for me by David who is an excellent host all my needs were catered for including a welcoming cuppa & a piece of cake. The room was tastefully furnished including a small fridge . Breakfast was second to none which more than carry's you through untill your evening meal. This is not the 1st time i'v stayed at the Broadwater & it certainly won't be the last. Highly recommended to family & friends Thank you David 1st class đ There is absolutely nothing about the Broadwater that i didn't like 10 out 10
- Graham (10/5): The Broardwater guest house. - The Broardwater guest house is excellent value for money. David, the host is very friendly and welcoming and his attention to detail is impeccable. The guest house is immaculately clean and no expense is spared to make your stay comfortable. Our room was beautiful , every detail was perfect, from the Dyson hairdryer, the impeccable choice of teas and coffee, the beautiful bathroom and fantastic seaside view. My partner and I had a two night stay , I only wish it was longer. The cooked breakfast was absolutely first class . We would definitely rate this accommodation as 10/10.
I would have absolutely no reservations at all about recommending The Broardwater guest to anyone, and we would like to say a special thanks to David for allowing us the pleasure of staying at his beautiful property. There is nothing bad at all that you can say about the Broardwater guest house.

- Erika (10/5): Great place to stay! - This place feels like home away from home. Beautiful rooms. Excellent breakfast. Very clean. Lovely views. Host always friendly and accommodating. I can't recommend this highly enough!
- Lydia (10/5): Wonderful host/place - The host was very attentive. It is obvious that he has put his heart and soul into creating a welcoming, homely environment for people to stay. His attention to detail was outstanding. The choice at breakfast was amazing. I loked the fact that he feeds the seagulls,I like animal lovers. Nothing
- Amy (10/5): - I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay whilst visiting Morecambe. The room was clean, the bed was super comfy, and the view from my window was beautiful. There is a fab selection of things to choose from for breakfast and I love how the dining room was decorated. David is an amazing and thoughtful host and gave me some great recommendations on where to visit. There were also lots of extras that I wasn't expecting, like the snacks in the room or the binoculars for birdwatching. He goes above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Truly one of the best places Iâve ever stayed at, and I would love to return in the future!
- Ann (10/5): Great time and we will be back - We love staying here. David is just the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is excellent for choice and quality, the rooms are spotlessly clean and the location is great. The toiletries are of the highest standard and there are extras in the room that you wouldnât get elsewhere. We look forward to coming back next year Nothing
- Nigel (10/5): Above and beyond service - Stayed at the property before so knew what to expect very clean guest house comfortable bed with lovely sented bedding and exceptional breakfast had a fall day of travelling to Morecombe let David (owner) know still hoping to make the booking but ended up being admitted into hospital got back in touch with David and he let me keep the booking for a later date that suits both parties many thanks David Nothing
- Glenn (10/5): Comfy, quality b&b. Second stay here and just as good as last time - Everything is high quality, cups, toiletries etc .
Amazing breakfast.
Comfortable bed. Nothing. Perfect stay.
- Rosie (10/5): - David was a fantastic host and has thought of so many extra touches to make the stay as comfortable as possible, from fresh flowers to pillow spray, and a great selection of tea/coffee/snacks for the room. Breakfast was superb and cooked to perfection. Thank you for a perfect stay, I'll be back again for sure! Nothing - everything was perfect!
- David (10/5): -
- David (10/5): Very comfortable. - All the little touches that put a smile on my face, good quality shampoos and soaps, a range of snakes, replaced each day, a torch and other little things and a breakfast sandwich to go work with each day before breakfast starting time. David made you feel welcome and if I'm in this part of the country again will definitely be giving David a ring.
- Antonia (10/5): Je wordt in de watten gelegd! đ - De gastvrijheid, ontzettend vriendelijke gastheren. Je voelt je direct thuis!
- Ian (10/5): - What did I like, there is so many things, comfort of bed, absolutely spotless, the delicious breakfast and even something for 11's if you wanted.
The amount of toiletries in the room, books on local history and attractions, a little bedside torch so you don't have to wake everyone else up. The quality of the breakfast, overnight oats juices and smoothies, cereal and cooked food. Heated towel rad in bathroom, dressing gown in wardrobe, the in room teas and coffees, there a coffee pod in the guest lounge. Room was cleaned and refilled with teas and coffee, there was a mini fridge with proper fresh milk or oat milk if you preferred. Nothing.
- John (10/5): Delightful, real value for money. - I couldn't make breakfast because I had to be out during those hours, but I came back to a very generous selection of delicious breakfast items left out for me. The room was very spacious, with excellent facilities, a lovely selection of teas and oat milk in my mini-fridge especially for me. Plus very fancy biscuits that reappeared the next day after I ate them. Friendly owner and superb location right by the beach.
- Beryl (10/5): The person who ran the hotel was welcoming and helpful. There were lots of little âextrasâ that added to the welcome. - The location and the proprietor.
- Adele (10/5): -
- Philippa (9/5): Fantastic little gem - Wonderful owner, who was friendly and catered for everyone needs.
When we arrived, David made us tea and hot cross buns, and he added more items everyday.
Breakfast was fantastic, great range of products, and great produce, with a huge range of options.
Our room had a great sea view.
Great Wi Fi speed, and good water pressure in shower, even though on second floor.
Additional touches: fresh flowers in the room, wide range of products in the bathroom. Plus binoculars and torches for use. We liked everything.
It was a fantastic place, just a few too many steps for me. This didn't stop me getting out though, plus we had a fantastic view on the second floor.
- Sarah (10/5): Super accueil, petit dĂ©jeuner dĂ©licieux, dĂ©coration de la chambre trĂšs chouette. Jâai adorĂ© â€ïž -
- Cherry (10/5): - Lots of lovely touches: fresh flowers, a radio, binoculars. Dave very friendly and helpful. I had a great stay and would thoroughly recommend it.
- Nicky (10/5): Outstanding guest house. - Most friendly welcome by David. All the facilities were perfect with a cozy comfortable atmosphere. Warm and welcoming with lots of little touches that made you feel at home. Plenty of books to read, comfortable bed and pillows and absolute first class breakfast. Can't rate this place high enough. Absolutely nothing.
- Judith (10/5): Wonderful stay just hope David realises how good he is. - David was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room had everything you could possibly want and more. We have never had so much on offer in any hotel. Breakfast was the same and cooked to perfection. Would recommend this to anyone and would certainly stay again. Excellent stay. Nothing except the weather which is beyond anyoneâs control.
- Vivien (10/5): The guest house exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend. - The room was clean, well presented and comfortable with a good en-suite shower room, and we appreciated all the little extras such as the mini fridge with fresh milk, coffee bags, biscuits and crisps. Our host was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good with a great choice of good quality food. David is doing an excellent job here!
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Excellent b&b, itâs the little touches that make this place stand out. The way the owner offered us tea or coffee on arrival after a long journey then bought it to our room with complementary cake. Upgraded our sons room because they had space, lots of lovely eco friendly toiletries, hair straighteners etc. you name it, they had it. The rooms were comfortable with fans for the hot weather if needed. The breakfast was lovely, good choice of food and friendly, attentive staff. The b&b is in a great location with Lancaster a short ride away. We really enjoyed our stay and have recommended to friends and family.
- Karen (10/5): - Very friendly & attentive host-owner. Every little detail had been thought about & attended to. A pleasure to stay here. Highly recommended.
- Nigel (10/5): a fabulous stay and will definitely go baclk - Lovely friendly hotel. Great breakfast and felt very welcomed nothing
- Mike (9/5): Amazing place to stay, great location, fantastic food, friendy service. Highly recommended - Fantastic friendly inviting. Very clean. Oresobal touch, David clearly cares about your stay and doesn't cut corners. Quality breakfast, fresh fruits yogurts, excellent fresh coffee.
Locely hobely feeling. I cant fault it, would stay again and highly recommend
- chris (10/5): -
- Judith (9/5): An absolute find! I will definitely return. - The standard throughout The Broadwater Guest House was superb. From the bedroom and en suite bathroom which were exceptionally clean, and the personal touches such as a range of toiletries in the bathroom, fresh flowers in the bedroom and bathroom (with a Halloween twist!), and snacks left in the room. A fridge provided fresh milk daily, and the breakfast menu simply doesn't do justice to the variety and quality of breakfast items available, freshly prepared for each guest.
David the owner/ host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was good to meet him.
This was my first visit to The Broadwater Guest House (others guests were repeat visitors), it will not be my last.
- Anthony (10/5): What a gem - A real gem you could not ask for more. The room was spotless and had everything you would need for a relaxing stay. It is very seldom that we have seen such attention to detail. Our host ,David was charming and welcomed us with a grand cup of tea and showed us all the facilities. The breakfast choices were excellent, with a very high standard of presentation, well cooked and delicious. All in all David deserves 5 stars for the way he runs the guest house and I would have no hesitation in returning in fact we would look forward to another stay in the future
- Desmond (10/5): This is by far the best B&B I have had the pleasure to stay at. I will certainly be staying there on my next visit t - Very comfortable and clean, great breakfast with lots of choices. High end toiletries etc and tea, coffee biscuits in room. Good sea view location with excellent transport links to places of interest. Beautiful decor throughout with lots of character and charm which highlighted the delights of the locality. The owner was extremely welcoming and made every effort to ensure I had an enjoyable stay for which I am very grateful. Absolutely nothing.
- Jacqueline (10/5): The owner was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Couldnât fault anything â„ïž - Lovely place very clean and everything you could possibly need available at all times
- Jonathan (10/5): The perfect venue when visiting Morcambe. - I enjoyed every aspect of my stay. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The little touches with the candy, milk in the fridge, and the tea pot with Danish once I arrived was very thoughtful. My host was gracious and friendly. This felt less like a stay in a hotel, but more like an actual home.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional. Ifyou are looking for a bed & breakfast in Morcambe look no further. - Exceptional experience and attention to detail to enhance your stay. David is a superb host. A most enjoyable 3 day break Not a thing

View was nice from my room.
Breakfast was great and many choices.
David, the host was excellent. Nothing.
- KAREN (9/5): Very comfortable stay in a modern well furnished house. - Very clean. Decor was interesting. Breakfast was really good and catered really well for vegans and vegetarians. Really good shower. The host lived in the property and was really helpful with parking. The room was small, but we did book at late notice and it was only for 2 nights.
- Heather (10/5): Absolutely exellent - The attention to detail far exceeds expectations. It is the best B & B by far.
- emmaline (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay
- BOOTH (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): An excellent guest house, very well located with superbly appointed rooms. A true gem. - Location and sea view. Hearty breakfast with the largest selection of cereals Iâve ever seen. My room was so well appointed with many thoughtful little touches I wouldnât normally expect, such as a pair of binoculars to enhance the sea view. Truly one of the best rooms Iâve ever stayed in! Nothing
- Shirley (10/5): Perfect, relaxing - Attention to detail is above and beyond Nothing!
- duffin (10/5): Lovely break and fulfilled our requirements. - David and the his guest house was first class with excellent service and exceptional facilities down to the smallest detail would very highly recommend and are planning and returning very soon. Nothing.
- Carol (10/5): A wonderfully comfy welcoming stay in an extremely well run B&B - Everything from the amazingly hospitable host for whom nothing was too much trouble to the gorgeously fluffy towels, comfy bed, variety of products to help you sleep or get clean, the magnificent range of choice for breakfast including freshly cooked local sausages and lots more⊠Nothing really. I knew there was no lift but the host, David, carried my bags up to my room which was really helpful.

David was very welcoming too. N/A
- Robert (10/5): -
- Pete (10/5): - Everything was perfect. Attention to detail exceptional. Breakfast extravagantly good. Nothing.
- Shelley (10/5): Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! - I absolutely loved my stay at The Broadwater guest house, so much so I stayed an extra night! The beds are super comfy, the whole guest house is very clean and tidy, the room had a blackout blind and curtains, which is a must for me plus there was a fridge and a kettle, crisps, biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and hariboâs đ David the owner is a lovely chap and the breakfast was delicious, a lovely man called Alan helps serve breakfast, a nice smiley face in the morning is always a great start to the day! The final thing that makes this hotel exceptional is the personal touch of pictures, books, ornaments and decor. I loved the poetry book in my room. Thank you David for sharing your home, I shall return. I would be very surprised if anyone has anything to dislike about this guest house.
- Christine (10/5): The best; so homely. - Comfy, clean, welcoming & friendly. Amazing hospitality, in fact. Excellent breakfast choices, hot food cooked to order, and so many lovely touches, in the room, and generally. Would prefer not to stay anywhere else in Morecambe now! There was nothing I didn't like.
- Lyndsay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Powles (10/5): Exceptional - The superior suite with sea view was exactly that! The west facing window meant the views over the bay at sunset were incredible from the comfort of the bed or the window seats.
The small details made everything easy to relax and not worry about anything that was forgotten and the equipment was of excellent quality, my fiancée particularly liked the Dyson hair dryer & straighteners.
We managed to get parking in the small car park near the rear for ÂŁ2.20 for 24hrs (unbelievable bargain) and then when a space outside the accommodation became available we had free parking for the rest of our stay.
The location meant a nice 15 minute stroll along the seafront to the busier parts of town but everything was accessible on foot.
The breakfast was also incredible with quality local ingredients only and well catered for any dietary requirements.
We would definitely book again when we are next in Morecambe.
- Brian (10/5): Marvelous Morecambe Guest House - Fantastic room with a seaview which was equipped with every home comfort.

- Jean-robert (10/5): A super, faultless stay in Morecambe - Perfect and unforgettable experience of English hospitality as it was and alas rarely is anymore in the modern Britain. David was the perfect host, the rooms and their appointments immaculate, the breakfast spread incredible and to crown it all, the views over Morecambe bay memorable. We would have happily stayed much longer... Nothing at all except the short duration of our stay!

Everything was above expectations: the cleanliness, most comfy bed, quality toiletries, good hot shower, choice of breakfast, stunning sea views and, of course, the most amicable and helpful host David.
Very noticeable attention to detail in every aspect. We perhaps now take for granted tea and coffee making facilities in the room, however, rooms also had a small fridge, some snacks and even tea towel.
Can't wait to return to this gem of a B&B. Nothing to add here.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tansley (10/5): What a lovely guest house everything you need and more great location great host perfect - Everything just perfect đ Nothing
- Lyndsay (10/5): Look forward to returning. - Everything was fab. Nothing

The rooms and the dining area are really comfortable and have a warm ambience that you can't help but feel relaxed in. The views across the water are also magical. Honestly nothing, I was very happy staying here.

- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, food, service and host. Will definitely try here first to see if available when I'm in the area. Guessing you have to get in early for seaview

Thank you Dave again đ€ Amazing.!! Everything is lovely and amazing đ
- Steve.b. (10/5): Exceptional - Regularly stay at this exceptional guest house & with David as an amazing host we could not recommend The Broadwater highly enough. Nothing
- B.e. (10/5): Peace and quiet for me - Good english breakfast off the menue with fruit etc. and pot of tea to start the day. About 25 min walk along the sea front to the centre of Morecambe....parking on the sea front always find somewhere None
- StefĂĄn (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (10/5): Possibly the best guest house Iâve stayed in - Very clean, amazing touches throughout the room, very quiet and perfect sea view through the huge front windows. Great breakfast and a great friendly host Nothing. Couldnât fault it
- Carl (10/5): Highly recommended, we would be more than happy to stay here whenever we visit Morecambe again. - David was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble for him. He was always on hand to give helpful advice regarding the local area and was without a doubt one of the best B & B hosts we've ever met.
Breakfast was plentiful with a large variety of cereals, yoghurts, fruit and porridge to choose from. You could have a full English Breakfast but if you wanted something different, David was more than happy to oblige. The room had everything you could wish for in it, including a fridge and Dyson hair dryers and straighteners were supplied in each room. The bed was nice and comfy and even the pillows were spot on - and the one thing I'm fussy about is pillows! Everywhere was clean and tidy and you couldn't have wished for more. David even took our luggage up and down the stairs for us.
There were plenty of buses outside the B & B as well, going one way into Morecambe itself and the other way up to Lancaster and even as far as Kendal in the Lake District!
I would wholeheartedly recommend both David and the Broadwater to anyone who wants to stay in Morecambe. There was nothing we didn't like. We were on the second floor so sometimes it was an effort to get up the stairs after a day out, but that was due to our mobility not being great, not the B & B.
- Steve.b. (10/5): Exceptional - Everything from the moment you arrive until its time to leave. Room, view, breakfast & host David, The Broadwater is excellent for a stay in Morecambe . Leaving
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - This is a gem of a guest house and excellent value for money. A comfy bed in a lovely bedroom full of nice toiletries, Dyson hairdryer, quality snacks and beautiful touches, including fresh flowers and nice art. Breakfast is fantastic with lots of choice and great coffee. I'm looking forward to returning. Nothing
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (10/5): Perfect - Amazing!! David is the perfect host and cannot do enough for you. Even greeted us with tea and cake đ
The room was so pretty with a perfect mix of old fashioned/retro..but with all mod cons. Also an amazing sea view of Morecambe Bay.
Breakfasts were delicious with everything you could think of to choose from..we will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone
Wish we had booked for longer.
Mags and Neil
