Silly me, I thought I was paying for my stay, as I seldom use that card, I knew I had enough to pay for the room, and thought that's what I was doing. NOT THE CASE. So I had to scramble at check-in because I owed $482.00 the regular room rate rather than the deal I thought I HAD gotten using Expedia. NOT a happy camper was I. Thank you very much.

The place is quaint and clean. I feel like you are stepping out of the rat race when you check in to a nice calm and relaxing environment.

- Christine (10/5): - The Saxon Inn is located on the campus of Alfred University. My son was visiting the university to determine if he wants to attend this coming fall. We arrived after midnight and someone was on call to greet us, after I had called ahead and let the property know we would be checking in after midnight. The room was cozy, shower was warm and the beds were comfortable. We did not experience the warm breakfast due to our schedule for the day.

My first room had a broken drapery that could not be closed so I was moved to a second room. The bathroom in the second room needs a good scrub. The scum in the shower was so heavy the word "dirty" was scratched into it.
