Guest Reviews
- Niko (10/5): - Simple place that is humbly built and managed by a real good family.
Nothing but amazing nature and caring company .
- Terry (10/5): Highly recommended. I hope to return one day - Magaly & Carlos were sensational hosts. Very interesting people with loads of great information. Their cooking is beyond anything I’ve had in Peru. They make the most wonderful meals. Their small farm inside the national park is one of the highlights of my time travelling solo by motorcycle.
- Lídia (10/5): - The staff were amazing. They are a really nice family. We spent hours talking about life and they showed us their life in their amazing house/lands.
We ate really really good !!
The views from their house are amazing since you are still inside the Huascaran National park.
We would love to go back.
- Anonymous (10/5): Awesome mountain retreat - Amazing hosts. Amazing food. Felt like a special, personal travel experience. Made to feel at home.
Really lovely, could have stayed much longer
Hot showers! Booked for one night, ended up staying two and felt revived to co time our ride
- Daniel (10/5): Wish we had a couple more days. Wonderful - The hosts were amazing and kind. Very helpful on the beginning of our Santa Cruz trek.
- Evan (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing hosts with great home cooked meals. You really feel like a part of the family while staying here. Comfortable rooms with hot water.
- Valerie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zack (10/5): Magali and Carlos are exceptional hosts! They will take care of your every need with a smile! - The breakfast and dinner options were fantastic! The food was exceptional and the conversations were even better!
- Alistair (10/5): Great hospitality in serene nature! - The property was just what we needed before a few days hiking, great warm shower, comfy beds and a unique experience.
Carlos and Magali were so welcoming, cooked us amazing local food and shared with us their homemade soaps/essential oils. No complaints, great property.
- Michel (10/5): A cultural and relaxing experience - Carlos and Magali are amazing individuals who take care of their guests. The food they make is unreal.
- Harris (10/5): Exceptional - Illary is run by an absolutely wonderful family. After our stay of only one night, before starting the Santa Cruz trek, we felt like part of the family. Oh, and the food is fulfilling for both the stomach and soul.
- Mark (10/5): Why would you want to start the Santa Cruz Trek straight after the long bus trips from Huaraz when you can make a leisur - Beautiful setting close to the Santa Cruz Trek trailhead.
Super friendly and welcoming couple who run the hotel.
Dinner and breakfast were delicious and made from produce grown on their farm. Nothing.
Unfortunately our program only allowed us to stay one night. We would have loved to stay longer.
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional - The owners are such interesting, caring, fun people. They looked after us so well and the food was amazing, straight from their organic garden. The location is also perfect for the Santa Cruz trek or just relaxing in the mountains. That we didn't stay longer
- Marina (10/5): A must stay place! - This family is an absolute hidden gem in that region! The first half of our trip was not smooth until we met them... Since the minute we were dropped off from the collectivo after crazy road ride from Yungay and saw welcoming hand wave everything has changed to completely opposite positive side! They've changed the whole mood of our adventure and gave us mental support we needed to finish what we have planned. I cannot describe this couple - you have to meet them! Extremely friendly, smart, fun, unique people who we did not want to leave neither for the night nor next morning! Not to mention their beautiful donkey Benicio that I fell in love with and gorgeous cat that most likely has a "blue blood". That we stayed only one night...
- Paulius (10/5): Exceptional - the hosts are amazing! the food, the hospitality, the atmosphere! thank you so much!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - hermosos paisajes, ambiente familiar, muy amables, tienen tours de trecking y actividades para los que gustan de caminar y conocer alrededores
