- Trudy (10/5): Stunning house in Daylesford by the lake with a bathroom for every bedroom - The house was well appointed with a bathroom for each bedroom, plus a powder room of the central lounge/dining space. A large kitchen with plenty of crockery and cutlery, plus a 6 burner BBQ and a bean to cup coffee machine. Beds were very comfortable, and the house had excellent heating and cooling. It is centrally located in Daylesford with lake frontage and easy access via a pedestrian gate. Two large lounge areas meant we had plenty of space to spread out and relax, and the large dining table, allowed for family dinners, and the large outside table and chairs would be great in warmer weather. Only having one key and the fact that the only way to lock the front door once inside was with the key on the inside. This meant we had to leave the key inside the lock to ensure we were able to get out in the event of an emergency. I'd definitely suggest changing the lock to ensure safe exit without the need for a key. The fridge is not very large or wide, considering the house accommodates 12 people. The large west facing window in the dining room does not have a blind and the afternoon sun is very bright, and I can imagine it would get very hot in the summer months.
- Sharon (9/5): The Lake Edge property has plenty of room for large groups, brilliant house. - The only improvement I would suggest for the property is the door locking system. We were provided with just one key for a three-storey house, and that single key is needed to lock and unlock all doors—from both the inside and outside.
This setup becomes a real safety concern, especially in situations where someone leaves with the key and others are left inside without a way to exit in an emergency.
A few extra keys or, ideally, a pin-code locking system would resolve this issue.
Other than that, the house was absolutely brilliant. It catered to everyone’s needs very well, and there was plenty of space for us all to enjoy.
