- Nick (8/5): Intersting and authentic 19th century building in a classic Bath terrace. Nearest car parking at Charlotte St involved u - Conveniently close to the centre. Good and interesting books provided. Easy digital key system. Distance from car park!
- Ralph Ben (10/5): Great value, very comfortable and Bath-Like! - Beautifully restored period home windowside room with a view overlooking Bath, nice artwork and other decorative appointments in addition to being clean, comfortable nothing to disappoint. It is uphill from center of town so take advantage of tap and pay bus with stop steps away from hotel. Excellent wine shop block and half downhill and block to the right. Highly recommend per other reviews. Nothing I can think of.
- Colin (10/5): -
- Alex (7/5): - Confortable, clean, very good locatiom Lack of heating.
- Kseniya (10/5): -
- Catherine (10/5): - Stunning property, room was gorgeous. Bed super comfy. Walking distance to city centre. Quiet location. Communication was all done via Booking.com messages and What's App. Alex was helpful and responded quickly. We managed to find a park on the street at 2pm, quick message to Alex and we were able to pay for a 24 hour resident permit.
- Madelein (10/5): Lovely old-world charm! - We lived the special touches and the charming old world feel of the decor. Unfortunately there was no breakfast available.
- Diana (10/5): Great little hotel. - Lovely hotel in great position. Nothing
- Mirjam (10/5): Heerlijk😇 - Sfeervol en zeer schoon, prachtig uitzicht. Niets
- Federica (10/5): Cozy - La cura nei dettagli e nel gusto dell'arredamento e l'attenzione al confort del visitatore, grazie alla presenza di biscottini, capsule da tè, stufetta, fazzolettini, ovatta e cotton fiock. Letto comodissimo e stanza molto ampia. Abbiamo trovato la stanza pulitissima.
- Emily (9/5): Ideal quiet relaxing spot in Bath - I stayed here as a bit of a retreat after having my daughter nearly two years ago - and not having slept properly since! I loved spending two nights here to myself. The room was lovely, very well presented, and the bed was super comfy. I slept so well. Location was also great, just a short walk away from the centre. Check in instructions were very easy to follow. Would definitely stay here again! Everything was great, but another nice touch would have been having a robe available :)
- Peter (10/5): - Beautiful room in a beautiful hotel. Comfortable, good facilities, amazing shower. Great location A few more tea bags in the room would have been appreciated ( I did see that there were some available in the jar in the hallway)
- Louise (8/5): - The world's comfiest bed, beautifully decorated room too. Nice & quiet. A fridge in the room would be handier for the milk at breakfast and so you could keep things fresh for your own breakfast being as though there isn't anything close by.
The loo seat was so annoying!
- Ayliff (8/5): Very nice - The room was really nice and very clean, the bathroom was very spacious, everything felt very homely and the beds were extremely comfy Felt more like an air b&b, but was still very pleasant
- Simone (8/5): -
- Hayley (9/5): - Our room was great! A good size and very comfortable. The bed was lovely and big and comfortable.
Good location (up quite a steep hill though), only £7 from the train station.Room 5 is at the top of the building, we liked it, but no good for anyone who struggles with stairs/walking. The room was extremely hot (top of an old building is understandable). Quite could've been switched for a summer one. We didn't ask, but I'm sure it would've been if we had asked, we were only there two nights. A little fridge in the room would've been very welcomed for our water bottles that we had (this wasn't mentioned so we didn't expect it, but realised on arrival the room could've done with one).
Communication with hosts was perfect.

- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Great location, very clean and comfortable.
- Aoife (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jule (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leisa (5/5): Passable - No coffee
- Khalida (10/5): Quaint and charming city with a fascinating history and friendly locals. - The room was beautifully decorated and super cosy, very aesthetically pleasing. A lot of thought went into the details of making guests feel welcome, and it perfectly summed up my stay in Bath - quaint. Additionally, the view from my room was lovely. Whilst the view from my room was lovely, it was because it was sat on top of a hill - à la Hill House, so walking up was a struggle! Otherwise no fault of the property at all.
- Oleksandra (10/5): Cosy, relaxing, beautiful:) - Alex is extremely helpful and very polite.
It was a nice surprise to see a filter coffee and some nice cookies in the room. Also, the hair dryer is great! Looked like it was Dyson:))
The set up is nice and cosy, water was there, mini fridge in the corridor. Feels like people care about details there.
- Paquin (5/5): I dont recommand - The bed was comfortable The room on the 3rd floor had very little ventilation. In hot weather, there was hardly any air in the room (only a small fan). It was not possible to shower for more than 3 minutes as the shower did not drain. There was also hair in the shower when we arrived.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and comfortable It was up a very steep hill
- Michael (8/5): Nicely designed and comfortable room - Very nicely designed and spacious room. Nice aircon unit. Very quiet. Very comfy bed. The only thing missing really was a small fridge. There was a communal one on the landing but there is plenty of space to have one in the room and they are not very expensive. Also the TV was not 'smart' and not a big deal but ir's sort of an expectation to have that these days
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (10/5): So comfortable, so welcoming 4 stars - Alex was simply the best host: he took the time to help advise me on Bath and pointed me to the best place for breakfast and more. The property was very comfortable and we had a perfect stay!
- Lindsay (7/5): Good convenient location with a comfortable room - Comfortable room. Good views. Milk fridge was good idea Tea/milk etc not stocked up. Early morning fire alarm. TV not functioning. Gave feeling that place was closing down as suggested by planning notice outside.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous room, very spacious and comfortable and clean. The house is beautiful, in a quiet area about 20 mins walk from the Bath Spa station. Only a few minutes from cafés, bars, restaurants, etc. Alex was very responsive and helpful too, I received the check-in details early and he answered my couple of questions immediately. Would definitely recommend and stay again! Nothing to not like here, it was one of the nicest places I've stayed! Just to be aware that the hill may be difficult to walk up with heavy luggage, and there's no lift in the house.
- Emma (8/5): Great stay, shame there was no breakfast - No option for breakfast
- Joanne (8/5): Very good - The bed was soooo comfy!
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous room with lovely view Nothing
- Trish (8/5): Very good - The location was great ,within easy walking distance to center of town.
Well furnished comfortable apartment. This apartment was downstairs with no outlook, which we weren't aware of.
Alittle cramped for 4 adults.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Great location to explore Bath on foot, lots of local restaurants, comfortable room, quality bed & linen, easy check in.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cathy (5/5): Passable - The bed was comfortable and found the decor of good taste. The shower one couldn't regulate it, it was cold or burning hot.
The house is located in a busy corner during the day time it's noisy.
- Jo (10/5): Lovely Boutique Hôtel in Bath - Nicely decorated boutique hotel in a lovely old building.
Nice and spacious with a comfy large bed.
Located at the top of a hill but it’s only a short walk down into the center of Bath. Keypad to get into the property was a little temperamental but the staff were easy to contact via WhatsApp to help.
- Kelly (9/5): Superb -
- Caterina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nancy (9/5): Ok - Nice shower Soaps shampoos very masculine smelling
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely apartment with a kitchen. We were expecting more on the breakfast part since it’s called a bed & breakfast. We love the classic bed & breakfast and have stayed in a lot of them around the UK, so a bit disappointing on that part.
Other than that the place was clean, cosy and we had a great stay.
- Joanna (10/5): Comfortable, relaxing, we’ll come again! - Beautiful house, spacious room. Hosts generous with tea, snacks and milk for tea. Only a short walk from all the hustle and bustle of town centre. Quiet road. N/a
- Roger (8/5): Very good -
- Anneclaire (8/5): Great stay! - Stunning decoration and design, comfortable beds, great service and accommodating team, very clean - beautiful & highly recommend. Mostly calm but can get noisy with the street on both sides of the property & a relatively old house with thin walls, no breakfast or shared living spaces (was hoping for a terrace or living room), the location is a the top of a hill - worth mentioning for young parents with buggies, or guests was any disabilities.
- Hannah (9/5): Superb -
- Robyn (9/5): Superb -
- Margot (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Outstanding - A magnificently presented very large room (BELVEDERE) with extremely comfortabnle bed, beautiful fittings and everything you could want. Grteat price for central Bath. Parking in tricky but their website info is very helpful.
- Karen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tobias (9/5): Superb - It was a nice and cozy apartment, it had two bathrooms, it was a good location in town. It would have been good to have some sort of light outside the entrance. It gets very dark and slippery when wet.
- Sarah (10/5): Surperb hotel at a great value - Huge comfy bed
Great communication
Amazing shower and toiletries
Lovely views and peaceful setting
Easy check in I liked everything about this property my only feedback would be a few more hangers!
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosalie (8/5): We enjoyed our stay, except No 2 had a loud TV still going after 12.30 I had to ask them to turn it down they had a do - Well maintained. Lovely room ( retained original features) and excellent bathroom, especially the large walk in shower. Dark hall, corridor and stairs. Not very inviting. We could hear every toilet being flushed.
- Andrea (9/5): Perfect stopover for a short break. Thank you. - Cosy, clean, warm.
- Victoria (10/5): Comfortable home from home safe private - A Beautiful House
Feels a home from home
The room I stayed in with my daughter felt so comfortable and comforting.
The beautiful bed and beautiful bed linen
crisp and fresh.
I would definitely return and would highly recommend.
- Aleksandra (9/5): Great stay, highly recommended - The location is great, 10 mins walk to the city centre and 5 minutes walk to the Circus and Royal Crescent. Please note the house is on a hill and the climb up is steep at times but this wasn't an issue for us.
We were able to check in early which was very nice.
Our room was on the first floor with a great view over the city. The bed was very comfortable. Would highly recommend!
- Nick (10/5): Cosy and comfy - It's a beautiful place in a perfect location. The owners were super friendly and quick to reply.
- John (10/5): Top class accommodation in Bath - For me there is nothing to fault, I stay in Bath regularly for business social events and Hill house is of the highest standard.
It’s close enough to Bath centre to be convenient but not so close that it’s impossible to park. Communication with the owner was very good, the accommodation was extremely clean and well presented. I would definitely return.
- Kassidy (10/5): Couldn't have asked for a better accomodation. - Excellent accommodation, very friendly host, modern facilities/amenities.
- Sánchez (10/5): Beautiful and comfortable apartment in excellent location - Excellent location, you can walk everywhere in 10-15 minutes. The summertime apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. They were really quick responding to any questions and facilitating the check-in and parking permit. The breakfast is also very good and well served in a nice dining room. We highly recommend this place. There's nothing we didn't like.
- Trevor (9/5): Superb -
- Jordan (10/5): Clean, comfortable, quiet - The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We had everything we needed and it was a great spot for exploring a beautiful city! I would definitely recommend this property.
- Peter (1/5): Bad -
- Callaghan (8/5): We found it very welcoming, the decor was absolutely lovely, it was very easy to find. The instructions were great and v - The decor was absolutely lovely, it very easy to longin and find. The instructions were great.
- Terry (9/5): Enjoyable and comfortable - Beautifully appointed. Huge bed! The steps down at night needed lights
- Immanitas (10/5): Great stay, wonderful hotel - Great location, nice view, very comfortable bed, big room, super clean, great communication with the hotel. Definitely recommend the place. We had trouble setting the temperature in the shower. It went either super hot or back to cold.
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Yvonne (9/5): Lovely 2 nights at Hill House - The size of the room 2, the mini fridge on the landing where you can get a decent amount of milk, also the water jug that was available to refill the glass bottle in the room.. Lovely idea! Lovely bathroom great, shower. Thoughtful pictures on the walls & nice decor. Plenty of storage. Extra heater & air con machine.
I barely heard the other guests, a nice quiet stay.
The bus 31 is across the road from Hill House straight into town, especially helpful when coming back up the hill.
About a 10min walk into town & the Bath Spa train station.
Try the TO-OT hop on hop off bus if you want to save your feet & get around Bath...the ticket lasts 2 days
Bath is beautiful, I'll visit again in the summer.
Alex was very prompt with replying & very helpful, he let me know my room was ready hours before l was due to book in. Thank you.. Not sure why l struggled with opening the doors with the touch system, which I'm used to at work. Being on a hill l would have liked a room with a view, but l did have an upgrade, sometimes you can't have everything! Didn't spoil my stay..
- Nell (9/5): Superb - it was so pretty and cosy and a relatively short walk to the centre there was no sponge for washing up
- Sandra (10/5): Can't fault anything, perfect! - Excellent facilities and very modern & smart
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (10/5): Weekend Stay :) - The room was very lovely. Plenty of tea/ coffee/ milk. Small walk into Bath. Easy access with self check in instructions. We loved it. Slightly temperamental shower - couldn't quite get the right temp, but nothing major!
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful and tasteful decoration. Lots of room. Warm and cosy. Great facilities
- Lisa (10/5): A fabulous family apartment. - We stayed in the Summertime Apartment. It was perfect for a family, as it had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, a fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster. There were also cereals, milk and mineral water - a really nice touch. Although it was very cold outside, the rooms were lovely and warm. The price was really reasonable too. We would definitely book this again if we went to bath. The roadside parking could have been a bit awkward, but as we arrived at 10pm it wasn't a problem.
- Gabrielle (10/5): Highly Recommend! - Exceeded expectations! Most comfortable bed and such a cosy room
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully curated room which gave a real regency vibe. The room was a good size (Room 2) with a nice seating area. This will definitely be our go-to place when staying in Bath in the future. Shower controls were a little temperamental
- Kartik (10/5): Exceptional - So beautifully kept place, the whole vibe was so homely.
- Claire (8/5): Very good - Nothing to dislike Location isn’t great
- Sugárka (10/5): Exceptional - It was wonderful but there were some suspicious cracks on the ceyling…
- Richard (10/5): A great find in Bath - We found this to be a great all-rounder: easy booking, responsive and helpful communication and recommendations with friendly hosts, clean and comfortable, excellent location, lovely small touches.... We have already recommended Hill House to others and would definitely book again.
- Alistair (6/5): Great room, pleasant stay, but just felt quite expensive for what we got. - Did not feel like a B&b - just a room. Felt very expensive for what we got. Communication was automated- quite poor.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (10/5): Great trip made even better by excellent accommodation would recommend to anyone. - Everything was good nice clean and very spacious.
Bed was really comfy. Nothing
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful room. Never met the staff as arrived outside of check in time but was able to get in seamlessly. Lovely touch leaving out milk and cereal bars. Highly recommend.
- Trott (9/5): Superb -
