- Estellen (9/5): Recommend - We had a wonderful stay! Manuela was an incredibly welcoming host. The property was spotless and very well maintained, with a beautiful lake view. We especially enjoyed having drinks on the sunny terrace, and the breakfast was excellent and very generous, including a delicious English breakfast. We also had dinner at the sister restaurant just down the road, which was very convenient as we did not need to take the car. The food there was really good. The only downside was that the walls are quite thin, so you can hear noise and conversations from the other rooms quite easily.

- karen (7/5): - The jacuzzi overlooking the lake was a major plus. After a long flight, it was wonderful to get in the Jacuzzi, sipping Prosecco looking at the view! The hotel is a historic building and as such you have to keep in mind the rooms are small, the bathroom is even smaller and there’s no elevator so it stairs up and down. This did not bother us but just letting others know. The shower is tiny and if you’re a plus sized person, I think it could be an issue to get in and out thru the sliding glass doors. The location is about 8-10 mins walk to town. Again we didn’t mind - a chance to walk off some calories. Staff worth mentioning - Alicia was super friendly and helpful. Excellent English which was much appreciated. Nothing that I truly didn’t like. The tiny size of the shower - unavoidable in a historic and small frame of building - was worth noting. They don’t have a restaurant for dinner but you can walk to their sister property down the street. I would recommend going to restaurants in town however.

Room 6 was above a busy road and across the street from a barking dog who fortunately was brought in at night. The AC did not work very well. Recommend selecting a room overlooking the lake.

Le petit déjeuner est super, les coupes de vins à notre arrivée aussi! Malheureusement même avec une chambre côté Lac, les voitures qui passent sur la route à proximitée s'entendent beaucoup le soir même fenêtres fermées. La villa avait des travaux sur son terrain au même moment, ce qui empêchait l'accès à la partie jardin de droite

Very happy we got to stay here and will be returning for sure. Highly recommended... you won't be disappointed. The location is very good as well, close to many attractions and fairies to take you across the lake. That we only stayed such a short time. We will need to stay longer so we could see more and experience the area. Many wonderful restaurants that we did not get to try, but it's something we will fix when we return.

- Tubbita-Travels (10/5): - Incomparable location right on the shore of Lake Como. We arrived just as the sun was setting and enjoyed a magical evening in the hot tub on the terrace as darkness fell. Truly unforgettable stay. Room was lovely, hosts were warm and welcoming. Would absolutely stay here again given the chance, I'm so glad we booked it. Breakfast on the terrace the following morning was an unexpected delight. And the breakfast itself was one of the best I've had...what a welcome to Lake Como, thank you.

- Stephen (10/5): Homely, peaceful and the perfect location for your lake como trip - We loved everything about this place. The views, the staff, the peacefulness…. And the jacuzzi. It really made our trip to lake como super special. It is only a small walk away from the train station which goes too and from Milan & varenna and the boat dock that goes to varenna, belagio, como etc. the staff were super helpful In every aspect of our stay and it really feels like you are with a family as opposed to just hotel staff. We spent our days having a lovely breakfast then walking to the boat stop to head down to the main touristy spots of bellagio, varenna etc. then returning to what felt a lil small cozy homely village to have some amazing food in Bellano and a quick walk back to the hotel for a jacuzzi to relax after the day. I would truly recommend anybody to stay here and I hope to certainly return. Thank you to all the staff at Villa marina :).

- jordan (10/5): Un séjour exceptionnel avec un cadre magnifique et un personnel attentionné. - Nous avons passé un incroyable séjour à la Villa Marina ! Le personnel est vraiment sympathique et attentionné, la chambre était propre et super confortable. Le gros gros plus : la disposition au bord du lac de Côme, qui offre une vue incroyable. Il est possible de se baigner dans le jacuzzi et d’observer la vue, c’est magique !! Je recommande fortement.

- Denise (9/5): Si on apprécie le charme d'une villa ancienne, le calme du matin et du soir ce lieu est parfait. - La localisation au bord du lac de la villa et le point de vue sur le lac, qui participent à la sérénité, très appréciable le matin au petit-déjeuner et le soir après les visites des sites touristiques bondés de monde au mois d'août. La localisation également à 15 minutes à pieds de Bellano pour prendre le bateau pour visiter les différents sites est très confortable. En effet, Bellano est moins fréquenté du coup les queues pour embarquer sont moins importantes que dans les villes touristiques. Alice et Manuela sont des hôtes fantastiques, très accueillantes, toujours soucieuses de votre bien-être et confort, elles dépassent même vos attentes pour vous assurer un séjour des plus mémorables. La literie et les coussins trop mous, les escaliers partout, l'extérieur de la villa est construite sur différents niveaux et les chambres sont obligatoirement à l'étage et la route qui jouxte la villa très fréquentée par des automobilistes ou motos très bruyants

It feels like a friendly community, especially the morning breakfast with the women who own the villa. There are so many amenities, such as the kayak rentals, private beach area, the garden, and hot tub all at your disposal. The rooms were beautiful, unique, and the bed was so comfy. the view was one of a kind as well. spent a couple of hours just looking outside the window! It made for one of the best stays we've ever had! n/a

Greate breakfast including made to order eggs, delicious!!! Staff is amazing. Treated us like family. Already panning our return!!! We could have used a little better lighting in the bathroom.

- Margaret (9/5): Authentic and refined stay on Lake Como - We adored our stay at Villa Marina. It was walking distance to town and ferry, but removed from the crowds. Beautiful grounds and directly lake front. Hot tub and lawn areas and beach were delightful. Alice and her mom were professional, went above and beyond and gave an authentic experience. Having the car park option was helpful. The towel heating system was amazing, but we couldn't turn it off to regulate the heat, so room was warm. We opened windows but no screens.

Bike and kayak rental. Laundry. We were using the train - 15 min walk from station. If you go downstairs in the station there are taxis and buses - opps!!

Umfassbar reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Es mangelt an nichts! Ab 08:00 Uhr wird die Musik im Garten angeschaltet. Wenn man bei offenem Fenster schläft und ausschlafen möchte, klappt das nicht mehr.

- Ziada (10/5): Small piece of heaven - Before we even arrived at the Villa , Alice was absolutely sensational at communicating with me about travel from Milan, Train cancellations, alternative bus routes everything. On the day of our arrival she called me to ensure we were ok and also to provide me options on travel to the villa once we left the bus. Due to the bus not stopping at Bellano as expected and at nearby Veranna she organised a taxi to collect us, a god sent. The villa is like a dream every detail is too perfection I give it a 10/10. Location is sublime, tranquil peaceful and not to far from the main town and attractions , my son and I went back and forth on the very frequent bus 10 mins up and down it’s very easy. It’s a Gorgeous Villa feels like your royalty . This included with Alice’s unbelievable customer service , honestly my son and I travel often all over the world and I’ve never experienced such service. I had the best stay the best time and will return next summer without a doubt. If you’ve come this far please book and go experience some magic. Nothing it was perfection

The view was incredible - Lake Como just outside your window. Even were you to not opt for a room with a view, you can nevertheless enjoy the views from the terrace in the morning. Indescribable views! The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was the best we have had yet - fresh local products and on-demand extras. Manuela did an amazing job in making our stay as memorable as possible. The airconditioning had a bit of difficulty although the building is a protected landmark and it was unusually hot during our stay (33 degrees.)

- Jay (10/5): Perfect!! - This property was fantastic. The breakfast was better than excellent. The view was wonderful and the lounge areas outside were wonderful. We had to leave early on our departure date and the staff made extraordinary efforts to ensure that we met our ferry and even provided us with a breakfast - though we left before the serving started. Staff really exceeded our expectations. It was a little far from the ferry but that extra distance provided us with a more remote and quieter experience - which we enjoyed.

- Lauren (9/5): Superb - Hosts are incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, definitely made the stay! Perfect breakfast to start the day. It was cold and a little rainy during our stay in early May but having a glass of bubbles in the heated jacuzzi overlooking the beautiful views of lake como was one of the most special memories of our trip. little bit of a walk from the train station, beautiful views however good to be prepared for this.

- Leonard (10/5): This was an absolutely wonderful place. Beautiful facility and gardens. Fantastic hosts and team. - Everything about this place was perfect. Tiny little old building, beautifully restored. Lots of flowers. right on the lake. Private patio, Veranda, and beachfront. The staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. Attentive and available when needed. Fantastic morning and sunset views in perfect story book town. Not much to complain about. A short walk to town, but I read and expected a bus to be running past the place daily. Not so.

It was ideal to rest and recharge our souls with the gorgeous atmosphere. Our host Alice was AMAZING! She went out of her way to see to every detail and helped plan our two outings. She was cheerful and efficient — never being put out by our requests. I cannot recommend Villa Marina and its superb staff highly enough. We adored our stay. Mille Grazie, Alice! Nothing. I would change nothing!

- Megan (10/5): Sensational location - Amazing location right on water. Spectacular terrace and views. Short walk to town and ferry terminal. Delightful staff. Lake view room well worth the upgrade. No communal indoor space, on our last day it rained and we had to check out at 11 for an evening flight. New bedroom windows have big handles meaning the new shutters don’t close so light floods in from dawn- bring your eyepatches!.
