• Elizabeth (10/5): Great location! - Fantastic apartment! It was a bit tricky to find but Antonio met us and helped us find free parking for our entire stay. Antonio was very kind and made a point to show us where everything was in both the apartment and in the neighborhood. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely recommend! Just note that property requires you to pay in cash at the time of check in and know that there are plenty of banks close to the apartment.

• Lisa Marie (10/5): Perfect place - on so many levels! - This is THE place to stay in Matera! It is just on the edge of the historic center - so you can easily drive your car up to the door and unload your luggage. With the help of our lovely host, we found free parking nearby for the rest of the trip. But you do not need your car once in Matera which is a breathtaking city. We spent three nights and felt like we had enough time to explore all the city had to offer. The apartment is large and very clean. It is well appointed - has everything you need to cook meals. There is a grocery store walkable. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful location this and how easy it was to make it our home base for four days. Loved it!

Even after we checked out, I had problems starting my car. He waited with me and assisted with the mechanic until I was good to go. Grazie, Antonio !! Nothing.

• Samad (10/5): A perfect stay - 1. Right in the middle of the old city 2. Very chic and extremely clean 3. Rooms large and spacious 4. Very well-equipped 5. Polite and helpful host The bathroom was small and the parking could be challenging as it is a busy area. But once you park the car, then you won't need to go around by car. Everything is around you.
• Ana (10/5): Above and beyond hospitality - I can't imagine a better place to stay in Matera than Riva dei Sassi. Antonio was a wonderful host who went above and beyond our expectations. The day we arrived in Matera there was a water main break that cut off water to the area for a day and a half. Although this situation was entirely not his fault, Antonio made sure we had plenty of bottled water and even offered to take us to his house in the morning so we could shower. He continued to update us and bring us more water until the supply was restored. Additionally, he picked us up at the bus stop when we arrived, and he also drove us to the rental car agency when we checked out so we didn't have to take a taxi.  All of this done out of genuine kindness and thoughtfulness.  The apartment itself is clean, spacious and the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook at home. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in and we wish we could have taken it with us! The location is ideal as you are steps from the Sassi, but close to all the restaurants and shopping.  Keep in mind that while you don't need to prepay upon booking, you do need to pay in full upon arrival and payment is only in cash. We missed that detail in the booking notes and had to run out and find an ATM.
