- Oliver (10/5): Die beste Unterkunft unserer ganzen Reise! - Sensationelle Anlage. Das ganze Geländevist ein Traum. Der Service idt hervorragend. Die Zimmer sind fantastisch eingerichtet. Das Prris-Leistungsverhältnis ist unglaublich. Die Unterkunft ist in keiner Form ausgeschildert, liegt in einer Gegend, in der sonst keine Unterkünfte sind und dort in einer engen Ssckgasse. Das ist durchaus reizvoll, aber wir waren 2 Mal dort, bevor wir azsgestiegen sind und gefragt haben. Also wer in Eigenregie anreist sollte wissen, dass es sehr schwer zu finden ist, aber es lohnt sich!!!

- Christine (6/5): 5 star, beautiful facilities—super expensive, and out of the way - — the facilities were amazing and beautiful. —complimentary and unlimited shuttles to/from ubud —the location was relatively far from ubud which for me (needing to travel to ubud everyday) was an inconvenience but for others, may be a welcome respite from the hustle hustle of the city — the way a waiter is helpful when they come by when the customer needs something but quickly turns to annoying/intrusive if the waiter is coming by when the customer is in the middle of a conversation, obviously occupied or offering advice when none is asked for, similarly, the managers of Permata seemed to be out of practice in dealing with guests after covid as i often felt like my parents were monitoring my every move and wanting to give input when it was unwelcome. not sure if this is a cultural “miscommunication” but it did make me feel uncomfortable because it affected my privacy and freedom to just be — enough so that i don’t want to return and feel as though i should get at least a partial refund for the unwanted suggestions of which room/where to eat/when to go into town/how to spend my days/etc. (after i explicitly expressed what i wanted), unwelcome attention (maybe because i was the ONLY guest in the entire place?), and dare i say- judgment/apathy/lack of desire to serve was often felt in my interactions with them.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I enjoyed my stay at this property. The gardens and feel down by the river are lovely, the food was very good. The spa is very expensive but our spa/massage ladies were great. I wasn't very impressed with our room. There was an issue with my expedia booking/confirmation stating I will receive a free massage. This didn't come through at their end but they honoured it regardless which we were thankful for. Overall despite enjoying our stay I feel the prices are too high compared to other places I've stayed in Ubud.
- Siew Keong (8/5): A resort that feels like home - The resort is fantastic and the staff are friendly and nice. Very charming estate with great architecture and authentic interior designs. Very private and exclusive, though it is on semi open ground. Love the openness of the back towards the Ayung River, and the location of the spa by the river. Food are good, though lacking in variety. I stayed for 4 nights and I imagined I had to repeat items if I had breakfast, lunch and dinner there most of the time. However I wish there was someone at the lobby to handle queries though. Always found the lobby empty and although I was given the mobile number of the staff, the reply might not always be prompt. And maybe the housekeeping needs to be tighter. Found a spray can underneath a cupboard and lots of dust too. Overall a great experience and we will return to stay again.

- Verified traveler (4/5): First time user - The treadmill in the gym didnt work, neither did the steam room but no out of service sign. Was really hoping to make use of these facilities for the price I paid.
- Tom (10/5): Just wow! - Spent 3 nights here as part of our honeymoon and words will simply not do the place justice. Everything about the rooms, grounds and it’s staff make it so special and more than any hotel can offer. With just 10 rooms we felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant on our first night and the complimentary breakfast was just the perfect start to a busy day exploring Ubud or lounging by the pool. We hope to return here in the future. Compliments to Mr Pippin and his staff!
