- Jan (8/5): Great Location, close to restaurants & shops. Hosts very friendly and great communcation. - Was welcomed by Jazzmin and she took us our parking space and then up to the room. Very helpful and accommodating. The location was good, very close to Fortitude Valley and Howard Smith Wharfs. Kitchen fully equiped and the unit was clean and tidy. There was wasn't that we didn't like.
- Angel (1/5): Worst company to deal with to date, unorganised, false advertising, double booked room, do not recom - beds were comfy we arrived to our room being occupied by someone else and double booked. We then couldn't get a bedroom in the same building as with the friends we were staying with. We had to leave too complex to walk to a different building where they had an empty 3 bedroom unit. We arrive at the new 3 bedroom unit where there was no TV, no garbage bags, no complimentary milk. Then when I raised this I was told they are a self functioning unit and it was up to us to purchase and take care of. When I requested a discount due to the inconvenience of our stay which was by far the worst experience I have come across to date. They would not honour a discount after paying $1300 for 2 nights in a room that was nolonger the sub penthouse as we booked (which was advertised as a penthouse not a sub penthouse) was absolutely discraseful. We received free parking and late checkout but I don't think that was good enough. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone

- Gabrielle (8/5): River Place are lovely appointed apartments, good facilities, with great staff that care. - The location, the view , the obliging staff, the balcony size, main bedroom was well appointed the unit was in need of an update and it looked like it hadn't been serviced for a little while. Staff apologised for the dated interior.

- Alan (1/5): DISSAPOINTING - Location We booked a penthouse. It wasn’t a penthouse. Penthouses are the premium apartments on the top floor It said 164m size and it was only about 110m It said it had a lap pool it only had a plunge pool It said it had 5 beds it had 3. We weren’t happy with the stay booking and service of Astra appartments. First of all they have 2 hotels next to each other and all the photos are mixed up, and as far as im concerned It is false advertising, lying and deception. We first were taken to astra appartments which we did not accept as it was about 100m including balconies. We booked a 164m penthouse appartment It had 2 and a half beds and we booked 5 beds and 3 bedrooms. One of the so called bedrooms near the kitchen had no doors and just a single bed/ no air con. It wasn’t a penthouse either. We rang Astra to tell them and was told someone would come after they finished their lunch break and show us Another appartment next door and if it was suitable for us, which took about an hour. We were also offered a full refund if not happy, but it was nearly 4pm with my whole family and we were exhausted From working. The other appartment was better so we took it as we could not be bothered refunding etc. as it is a hassle and stressful. The appartment in Skyline appartments was better, but it was still not 164m it was 110 m as advertised It had 3 beds and not 5 as advertised It had a plunge pool and not a lap pool as advertised It was an appartment but not a penthouse as advertised. We were disappointed as we don’t like being lied to and deceived about what we are booking and what you really get. Also i compared these appartments with similar penthouses and similar size and facilities, and because of the incorrect Information, we paid too much ( nearly $700 per night) I received 10 emails and 6 sms messages welcoming us etc, but none of them responded, when i tried to contact them For a late checkout, so communication was poor.

The view was beautiful too Communication with the hosts was a little difficult and one bed wasn't made when we arrived. They did sort this out but we messaged them about not having any toilet paper on the first day and never received a reply.
