- Pam (1/5): Avoid at all costs - Really close to the town centre and you pay for parking out back in a town with limited parking When we arrived and I used the bathroom someone’s wee was in there from previous use with a pill. I had to flush and buy bleach to clean before using. The building is also extremely dated.

Staff were friendly and welcoming and rooms were clean. We booked a parking place at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was poor and not worth paying extra for as there are plenty of cafes within a short walk of the hotel.

- Mike (7/5): - Very clean room decorated to a good standard with a spotless bathroom. The position was perfect. Nice to have USB ports in the sockets Lack of parking, and its almost impossible to park on the roads. However, the town hall public car park is just a short distance away. I was unhappy that reception was vary rarely manned during my stay, and even phone calls went unanswered. The owner apologised and stated that he was busy elsewhere in the hotel. The hot breakfast was very hot and overcooked. The fried egg was solid and the bacon so overcooked it was tasteless. I did discuss it with the owner and he agreed to look into it. Despite the small problems, it was an immaculate room with an outstanding view at a very reasonable rate.

Yes the bed was clean and the bsthroom was clesn but the bed was very uncomfortable and the decor not delux. Room says it comes with a sea view but you can only see a small area through the dirty windows. The reviews on booking .com are amazing but unfortunatly untrue.

You can legally refuse to pay it. Room very clean. The room very small and hot. We had a bad neighbour who complained about our tv though on very low and put on picture only but then banged the walls cos we were talking. We left next morning though had booked 2 nights. Never had this in 50yrs of staying in hotel. Fried Breakfast very small and had a only just cooked egg so left it. Says 5min from station but only if you run.

- HEATHER (9/5): Central location, not hugely expensive. - The location. The cocktail offer. Good size room with a view. USB chargers in lights. Polite, helpful guy on reception & bar. Mattress way too firm. Bath & sink chrome needs attention to cleaning. No seal on the shower to bath screen. TV remote volume not working, had to adjust on the tv itself, sad, but annoying! Chargeable parking, albeit we parked outside for free, were lucky this time! I did also inform staff of my concerns on departure.

- Maria (3/5): Couldn't wait to get back home! - location sea view very good cleaners Breakfast first morning was awful but I spoke to management and it improved Very toxic paint fumes to the point I had to ask to be moved to a different room. The room was supposed to be hypoallegenic as it says in the details - that is why I booked it as both my partner and myself have health issues. The hotel should be made aware of the health and safety Act and their responsibilities to paying guests. This room would not be suitable for babies, children, persons with asthma or lung/heart conditions. Specifically asked for a bath when booking but the second room didn't have a bath and my partner cannot use a shower. I asked repeatedly to be notified if a room with a bath became available but was told they didn't have any even though on Booking.com they were advertising rooms available. I asked if my partner could use a bath in another room that was vacant and was told we would have to pay £16.00 No satellite tv in second room - even though says it should have been. Definitely not as described, 'superior room'

- Gary (9/5): Very impressive. - Staffs are very friendly. The place is clean and smell fresh even though it looks old. Nice bar with reasonable price of drinks and cocktails. Decorations are a bit outdated and could do with a new carpet. And wish the room have mini fridge to store drinks/medication or skincare that need to keep in a fridge.

- Jim (1/5): Staff v unhelpful - Location Bed was so bad had back ache for three days after
- richard (8/5): A lovely hotel for a short stay. - Great location near to town centre with a nice sea view. The room was very clean and comfortable and staff very friendly. Would recommend pre booking a car park space as very limited in surrounding area. Nothing everything was good.
- Alison Deas (9/5): - I was upgraded from a single to a twin room. It was comfortable and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Biscuits were provided in the room. It was very good value and in an excellent location. The water took a while to drain away in the bath and the washbasin.
- Tim (7/5): Good stay. Good location - Friendly staff. Good location. Somebody smoked in their room and set the fire alarm off at 1am. However the hotel staff immediately had everyone out of the hotel and checked it wasn't a real fire. Although not nice it was a relief to know they were on the ball with fire safety.

- Pauline (4/5): A little disappointing - Location was perfect. Staff pleasant Decor was tired. Blind didn’t fit the bedroom window properly allowing light in. Hairdryer didn’t work at all. Masking tape not removed under vanity table after some repainting. Tea/coffee, milk etc not replaced daily. Bar closed early each night.

- Brian (7/5): Decent accommodation in Exmouth - Decent hotel - accommodation met expectations Had a musty smell and breakfast was only so-so - eggs in particular were disappointing
