susansK6440CB (8/5): After a long day's drive, we got a good night's sleep. - We are on a road trip to AZ and Hawthorne was a convenient place to stop for the night even though there aren't many hotel/motel choices. We booked a two room suite in order to have a sofa to sit and relax on. The bed was lovely and we both had a great night's sleep. All important! The sofa and chair looked pretty new. The bathroom itself was tiny, but the large dressing area was helpful. Place was clean and tidy.

Coming back from UTV ride we were told not wash any dirt off with the towels. Seemed kinda weird but we were careful not to dirty the towels. We were told that they will charge us for a lien fee.

She made me feel really welcome. The room was quiet, clean, shower was good, beds comfortable. Parking is excellent. Had a great meal at the casino within walking distance, nice to not have to get right back into the vehicle to go eat. We stay here every 6 months. We are snow birds and this is a great stopping place for us. Safe, clean and comfortable. It was just perfect. No problems

James (10/5): Great Place to stay - Stayed in an accessible room because I have trouble with low toilets and bathtubs. This was one of the best setups I have seen - the toilet had Grab bars on both sides that could hinge up and out of the way, very convenient! The shower wand had multiple hangers so a person could sit while showering, or stand. The bed was comfortable and had a thick mattress cover, and the room was spacious with several chairs, and a desk. The only drawback was the shower did have a low curb, not a problem except water splashed out of the shower onto the floor outside, not good from a maintenance and cleaning point of view.
Jan (9/5): EASY AND COMFORTABLE - Room was quiet, comfortable and has a mini fridge and a microwave for those who need it. Coffee pot as well. Nothing against the hotel, but Hawthorn is a town with nothing to do. Drive in, sleep and leave.

susanflanaganbidwell (10/5): A Five-Star in Hawthorne. - The Travelodge in Hawthorne is located 2 hours north of Tonopah, NV and 2 hours south of Reno, NV. Easy access on and off US-95. We have stayed at this location every time we travel between Las Vegas, NV, and Reno. The staff is very attentive. Remember to let them know you are a Veteran to get a military discount. The room was very comfortable. A bonus is the bathtub. The El Captain Casino and Restaurant is located across from the hotel. Nevada Pizza is within walking distance of the hotel. They make their pizzas with fresh ingredients and offer a wide selection of open-faced sandwiches. The food was excellent.

There seemed to be plenty of parking and rooms. The the pool looked nice, but we didn't get a chance to use it. The staff were all nice. We did get put next to the laundry room, and around 4am we woke up to the sounds of what I assume were driers and another room's TV. So many not great sounding proofing, or just not the best room to be in. That did interrupt my sleep for a while. Overall a food place to stay.

Global13006189139 (8/5): Good for a 1 night stay - The location is clean, the rooms are basic, and what you would expect from a motel . The plus side is the water stays hot and pressure is amazing, it also has a pool which the kids enjoy . The downside is that the beds are hard and the pillows are flat and need to be replaced.
VI (10/5): - The hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The woman at the front desk gave us a great dinner recommendation at the local bar where her sister was the cook and mom was the waitress! If we had to make another stop in Hawthorne, we would definitely stay here again.

Glenn (10/5): - This was about the nicest small-town hotel I've ever stayed in and by small-town, I mean Hawthorne is literally in the middle of the desert, halfway between Reno and Vegas, just north of Area 51. There is a very nice casino with a fantastic restaurant just across the street. The town hosts a large military base, so if you are a veteran call them directly regarding their special services for veterans before booking. On a side note, some of the other small towns in the area seem to augment their municipal funding aggressively through traffic tickets. So mind the speed limits VERY carefully.
