Guest Reviews
- sthompsen (2/5): Skip this place for now - Hotel is in need of a very serious update. The pool was green and unusable. We saw a rat at the restaurant on the roof. We could hear very loud music in the room. I wore my flip flops in the shower. The food in the restaurant was ...not good. I ordered a muffin and it was stale and then microwaved to try to hide that it was no longer fresh...yuck
- Ceferino (8/5): - Small parking area
- EDWIN (10/5): - .
- James (10/5): - Best staff in the world. Every time I come to Philippines to see wife’s family I stay at hotel Fina. The staff make me feel welcomed and comfortable. I am from America and have been several times in last 8 years. The staff is what makes this hotel special. Thank you hotel Fina.

- Christine (6/5): - Business/Vacation. 3 pax.
Hotel Fina is across from the LCC Shopping Center where groceries, sundries, apparel, shoes, etc. are sold. It is walkable to several fast-food restaurants, drugstores, and 7-Eleven. Also close by is the palenki and paradahan.
It is an old building with tired looking rooms. It is not the "Most Luxurious Stay..." as it claims. The beds are hard. Upon peeling back the sheets, I discovered it is a boxspring with a quilt pad atop it. But this is just my experience, and comfort is subjective.
**There needs to be a quality check on housekeeping. Our room had hair on the bathroom floor and shower, and someone used the toilet and had not flushed it.
The staff is accomodating and friendly. The hotel restaurant menu is well-rounded and what we ordered was delicious. Try the Fina Fried Rice! The breakfast buffet on Sunday was delicious too. There was a dish or two to satisfy each of us.
- Cesar (8/5): - The hotel staff are awesome
- James (10/5): - Staff is super friendly and accommodating
- totsiroll (10/5): I love food specially good food - My niece celebrated her birthday here. It was a great experience indeed. Aside from a beautiful ambiance, the food was tasty, worth the price. The service was good also.
It is a good place to dine in.
- EDWIN (10/5): - Love the place
- FRANKIE (4/5): - I did not consistently enjoy my stay due to the noise level. I did not have a goodnight rest the first night. Too much noise coming from pool area. I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel unless you are partying. As for the staff, (Front desk Kessa, housekeeping and Cafe staff are wonderful! There was attempt to move to less noisy room but there was too much loud music. Management did not reimburse me for the downgraded room change and it is unacceptable. I should have received credit of difference for the one night move from Deluxe to lesser tier room.
- Shiela (2/5): - Dirty rooms- clogged toilets- found bedbugs and smelly rooms
- francraizen (10/5): Excellent Hotel - This is an amazing place to stay. Good service, good amenities! Great interiors and spacious room with clean linens and mattresses. The bathroom is odor free. Finally I found a place to stay when visiting Albay! I will truely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I love your pool by the way.
- Culture724642 (2/5): Holdup at Hotel Fina - We opted for this hotel because I am traveling with a senior citizen and having an elevator is a must.
I've heard alot of issues regarding the cleanliness of this hotel but I have no other choice...since we only need a place to secure our things and a place to rest and this is the only hotel near us with elevator... I considered booking even if the rate is way too high.
As expected...indeed the place was untidy...stains were visible on our sheets and the room was dusty (we were sneezing endlessly) the worst thing was... upon check out they charged us with P300.00 on top of our bill because they thought we stained their sheets... and the manager did not even show up to help resolve our concern.
- 483debbiep (8/5): Our place in Tabaco - We went to Tabaco for our Wedding Anniversary and stayed in Hotel Fina for a night.
*we booked the go deluxe room which was spacious enough for 2 persons
*sa bathroom naman,i liked the shower pero medyo naipon yung tubig sa floor which caused minor flooding sa shower area.
*mababa lang yung pool, deepest was 5ft yata, yet we enjoyed our afternoon dip overlooking Mayon Volcano; they also serve food sa rooftop kung asan ang pool.
*friendly staff
*yummy food in the resto
*meron salon (GF), bar (GF) and resto (2F) in the hotel premises
*limited parking spaces
*nasa centro ng city so accessible to local transpo and we were able to roam at night by foot 👍
- Lechar09 (10/5): Awesome Hotel - First i wanna say thank you to the management and to all employees who served us and let our trip to sorsogon become awesome. First they allowed us for early check-in by 10am instead of 2pm check-in. From batangas we are so tired of the long drive and they accomodate our request of early checkin without any additional charges. During dinner our special request was granted also they allowed us to have some drinks at the rooftop near the pool area. that was awesome CHILL night for us. We need to check-out for 5am for us to meet up the boatman at matnog port by 9am. They provide us packed breakfast and coffee for our trip to matnog instead of waiting of their free breakfast by 7am.
Overall our stay here are awesome and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel. Keep it up and thanks again 😀
- princessblue18 (8/5): Best gift for wedding - I wanna say thank you to all the staffs especially to the receptionist and housekeeping girl (Sorry forgot the name).i personally booked this hotel last april 8,2018 as a gift to my bestfriend on her wedding. At first I was hesitant to go there because I didn’t check the reviews yet of this hotel Fina,I’m a frequent traveller so I love checking reviews before I decide but giving a try it’s not bad.thank you for making the room extra special and upgrading it for them. I asked them to put some petals because I want to surprise the newly wed especially my bestfriend. She sent me this picture,I know she’s happy so i want to commend the good services. Looking forward to it also.
- GoatPharmer (10/5): Amazing visit here again, our 3rd time staying and always a pleasure - We travel here 2 years ago with 2 children, this time we visit with 3 and the stay was great. Even with the challenges of the Volcano erupting and a small Bagyo or tropical storm, we had such a nice stay. Always great food, and the kids even watched the volcano erupt from the pool on the roof. How cool is that.
- juliod273 (8/5): We visited our folks in Tabaco, it was a nice stay.We booked two rooms for five days. - The room is comfortable and clean. The personnel are amiable and always ready to help.
The food is good and the price was just right. The hotel is in the heart of town , walking distance to restaurant, banks and department stores. They have hot and cold water that makes taking a bath comfortable.they also have beauty parlor and massage services in the premise which is awesome.the hotel is a short distance to major attraction like Mayon volcano, Tiwi hot spring, Cagsawa. and many other more.It was a good stay.
- E7477XZkatel (6/5): The place to stay - We stayed here during our recent visit in Bicol. It’s nice but the beddings and pillow cases smelled badly, like they never got washed properly or aired properly. We told them to change them but the replacement of our pillow cases were still the same.
Staff are friendly and accommodating, they clean and fix our rooms everyday.
Location is near everything!
- edenroseb (10/5): Fina's Best - This is place is by far the coziest and supreme amongst all the hotels in the city. The staff are incredibly nice and accommodating, tending to every need of the guests. I highly recommend the place to tourists or even locals. Experience one-of-a-kind leisure and relaxation only found in the heart of this city, Hotel Fina!
- stephentA5756KH (10/5): The Hotel Fina in Tabaco, is a well run family business, I would highly recommend. - This is my second stay at the Hotel Fina, firstly in August 2016 5 days & just recently September 2017 for 9 days, on both occasions I have had a lovely stay.
I arranged for a pickup from the airport to the hotel and there own drive collected me, such a nice friendly man, who spoke good English.
When I got to the hotel I was greeted by some very pleasant staff, who showed me to a very well appointed room.
I like that the room had a quit aircon unit, as I am a light sleeper, also that the shower is Hot & cold and the bed and pillows are most comfy, some thing I don't find very often when travelling in the Philippines & Thailand.
I also enjoyed a good but modest breakfast every morning and I found that food counter staff were very polite and always helpful to my needs.
I was also helped with a trip to San Miguel Island, by two very nice managers Jo & Ditas
and I am very thankful to them for there time & effort.
- kennylyne (8/5): A good restaurant! - We were looking for a nearby restaurant and a friend recommended this. The food was served a bit late but served by very courteous and pleasant food attendants. The food is also tasty! Great value for money!
- jordanhC4772QW (8/5): A quaint hotel not for claustrophobic - I arrived Tabaco rainging and quite late already to appreciate the surroundings. Upon check-in, I was ushered to well appointed room. Of course not the 5-star setting but nice and cozy enough. The bed is of the ortho type, not too soft that you sag with your own weight and not too stiff that you wake up with backpains the next day.
All the toiletries that you need are provided for. The lights are controlled beside the bed. Wifi is also good. The toilet has bidet and heater in the shower area. And if you need to relax more, a massage service is also available for room service or you may visit the clinic at the ground floor.
The have a restaurant at the mezzanine where it serves local, chinese and filipino foods.
The elevator has transparent class walls that somehow compensate for the lack of window in all the rooms. The hotel is surrounded by tall office building on three sides which makes it impossible for view windows to provide. There is a window though in the room where I stayed but the only view that you can get is the opposite corridor, outdoor ACU units, and the wall of the opposite and adjacent rooms.
- goneandbacklj (8/5): Recommended - Family stayed in this hotel twice already, Dec2014 & Aug 2016 and we stayed for atleast a week on each visit. Generally, I can give this hotel a 4/5 rating TabacoCity-wide. What didn't satisfy me though were these two:
1.Elevator issue: it was not working during those dates and that was a span of more than 2 years. So, not favorable for my elderly in terms of mobility because stairs/steps are the only alternative for non-functioning elevator, and no ramp either. Although the staff were very helpful and punctual, without that to just pull or make your luggage rolling it is still very inconvenient if you have several luggages to manage to bring to your room upstairs because there is no guest room on the ground floor. But it's 2017 already so I can only hope you have it in service now?
2. Windows, are on hallway side only not for outdoor views or for fresh air.
Aside from these to issues I like this hotel. Located in the heart of the city, easy to check-in, all staff from reception, dining, room, up to the pool and back to the driver were very helpful.
- 349andip (6/5): Average. - Room size is average. Single beds are just right for an average-sized person.
Breakfast is simple and quite below average just because hotdogs shouldn't taste that salty.
Shower and toilet is divided by a piece of glass so it looks like it has ample space but lacked floor mats to dry your feet after showering. I liked the shower head and bidet though, producing good water pressure.
- johnwY3211GC (8/5): Great stay at Fina Hotel - Great staff, very courteous. Very good restaurant and super comfortable rooms. I stayed for 4 days and nights with no complaints and left intending to return here on my next trip. The hotel is located in the heart of Tabaco so it's close to shopping and other amenities.
- loidap2016 (6/5): So-so - CR - complete, clean, big enough with hot water but the shower handle is broken; the towels are not soft.
Breakfast - not good. I would rather choose mcdo or jollibee
Room - had a paint-like smell that gave us sore throats the next morning but I've been here around 4x and this is not usual. I just hate being sick because of this hotel. aside from this incident, i love the room. with tv, cable, and soft bed sheets
pool - i tried this before. the bigger pool was dirty. the round jacuzzi is heaven
others - the massage chair is relaxing
if you'll go to tabaco, hotel fina is recommendable. just do not expect much.
- buddymigs (8/5): Best in the area - There are other hotels and accommodation options but hotel Fina is the best in the North of Albay - Tabaco, Tiwi. Nice clean rooms with friendly staff. Plus the hotel is right at the city center near malls, market, and food chains.
- belleberces (8/5): Best Hotel in the Area - We stayed here many times already. The last was January of 2017. Their rooms are spacious and clean. Their bed sheets smell fantastic and are really soft. I love their bed mattresses, too. Checking-in though can take a long time. We waited for 30 minutes (it happens almost all the time). The reason on the delay was mainly because of housekeeping.
Their restaurant offers a wide array of delicious food including the dishes that are famous in the area like Bicol Express and dishes with coconut milk. The last time we went here, we were able to enjoy the buffet breakfast promo. I especially liked the lugaw, a simple dish but really savory. Now, I guess their back with the plated breakfast. Hope they'd offer the buffet breakfast again.
Courteous and friendly staff, as well. I hope they make improvements though on the bathroom fixtures and the cleaning procedures, as well. My parents also stayed here and the bathroom they had in their room smelled bad.
Overall, a great hotel establishment to stay in here in Tabaco City.
