• Kenny (10/5): The Aloft hotel is just the right size property! - Ideal location with a very pleasant front desk staff. I really appreciated the sound machine to help with falling asleep. Not much, perhaps a more extensive fitness room. I paid a day to use Gold's Gym right around the corner.

Receptionist was not able to check me in because of an error with booking! - I could not check in the hotel because of a technical issue in the hotel system with booking.com Although I booked thru booking.com and had payment confirmation and email, the hotel system had an error or the request from booking.com had an error, and so I had to find another hotel! Being a bonvoy gold member, this is by far the worst experience with any of my hotel stays. Complete waste of 2 hours because of a technical issue I didn’t have any control over, and the receptionist didn’t know what to do, so she just asked me to leave!

Not much at all to not like. If I had to pick anything, it would probably be the temperature of room. I had the air all the way down on 65, but it never seemed to reach that temp, and woke up hot both mornings. Might just be a me thing, as I sleep with the air very cold at home. Not taking away from the rating for that though.

• Robin (10/5): I will be recommending Aloft to others and will certainly stay again on my next visit to Austin. - Perfect location. The rooms were serene, comfortable and very clean. After a 9 hour drive, it was so nice to meet Anita at check in. She was very welcoming, personable and able to answer my questions regarding the surrounding city area. Every staff member I met whether housecleaning, maintenance, or valet were all friendly. You have a wonderful staff in Austin. Cannot think of a thing.

• Jose (10/5): I'm glad i chose to stay at aloft, i will definitely be staying there again next time I'm in austin. - What i absolutely loved the most about aloft was the 11pm check out time. I don't feel rushed to leave or have to force myself to wake up and get ready, that alone made me want to stay there again. As soon as i arrived, a valet worker approached me and let me know what my options were for parking. It was so fast and easy , i was inside the hotel within minuites of arriving. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. They seemed excited to help me with anything I needed. That was the cherry on top of my experience there. I would, and will recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I myself will be staying there again. I tried to think, but I can't think of a single thing i didn't like. everything exceeded my expectations and my overall stay was great.

Mattress is hard and not comfortable. Downtown Austin is a high crime area; hence, noise from emergency vehicles disrupts sleep.

• Courtney (9/5): - I love the location! It's so close to what the locals call "dirty 6th street" where there's lots of bars walking distance that were so much fun! There's a 7 eleven walking distance if you need anything too. It's in the prime of downtown which I loved. We had a corner room which was nice and large, but our friends room was much smaller. There's not a lot of space to hang your clothes and the bathroom door kept opening as it was a sliding door. They fixed a maintenance problem of a toilet clog quick. There's a fun bar at the check in location where a lot of people hang out and There's great food options in the hotel too. They have a cute coffee shop too! Small rooms and sliding bathroom door opening frequently. My corner room has a window that looks into everyone else's windows- you can literally see on other rooms, so they can clearly see you unless you close the shade.

We enjoyed the free bikes available from the sister property element the at the same location. Breakfast at the onsite restaurant Caroline was good the bathroom was a bit small but was fine for a short stay. We weren’t too impressed with the bar service but it was quite busy so I guess they have a following.
