She was very kind approachable great with the kids and very thoughtful of what each family/guest needed. Aunty Betty was also lovely and the kids enjoyed seeing her each meal. The rooms were a great size bigger than I expected. Close to shops and the market. I think you could have tried to sell Some of the adventures and packages on arrival. And been a little more informative about what we could have done and must see places.

Wir waren immer die einzigen am Strand, aber haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt, weil selbst das Meer am Anfang voll war mit Shirts, Glassplitter etc. Die Unterkunft hat zwei riesen Generatoren, die extrem laut sind und auch im Schlafzimmer zu hören sind. Wir dachten anfangs, dass ein Helikopter startet.

• Gideon (9/5): My stay was relaxing, comfortable and pleasant. - The location is ideal for a first-time traveler to Kokopo it is right in the center of the city. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food is good, and the restaurant well located for a good view to the now quiet volcano in Rabaul and the Duke of York islands during the day.

• Bryan (10/5): Exceptionally nice, clean and well run resort hotel in a great location - Simon & Evelyn Foo, Mucash and the staff at Kokopo Beach Bungalow Resort were excellent hosts. I was greeted daily like a long lost cousin and Simon, Evelyn and Mucash were always attentive and friendly whenever I appeared (even in the café where and when they were having business meetings!). It was delightful to meet them all and the premises are gorgeous. So many areas to just relax, catch a bit of sun (or not) while you work or read or just pause for a while. The food was very good. The facilities were very good, though I did wonder if there might be a way that some lounge chairs or relaxation options might become available on the beach, as I personally love being down by the seaside? One staff member was willing to take a chair down to the beach, but I did not want to bother him with that. I have already spoken to several people about my stay, the kindness of the managerial staff and owners, and the lovely spot where this resort hotel is situated. A BIG thanks to Simon, Evelyn and Mucash for all you did and for making feel so welcome and pampered.

• AMANDA (3/5): Good location, poor customer service - The view and the location was convenient. The place was dusty and didn’t look like it was cleaned out prior to our arrival. The staff were snobby and rude when taking our order requests. The food is definitely not worth the money.

A bit noisy at times with some tradies fixing one of the bungalows next door. Quite expensive tours so we didn’t do it all unfortunately.

The hauswin restaurant had excellent food in every night with quick and efficient service. I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get the chance to sample their lobster dishes during our short stay, but I understand that with fresh locally caught fish it’s down ti what comes in on the day. They other sea food was top notch!
• Brenda (4/5): Have always enjoyed our stays at KBB but it fell short this time in a number of areas. - location is excellent - centrally located in Kokopo town - close to supermarket, banks and market rooms are clean with daily housekeeping food was good the gardens and ambience of the hotel is really beautiful staff are lovely wifi was only given out only by the manager at his convenience - wifi was not provided at check-in and with persistent requests access was given 4 hours after check-in and even then wifi coverage was really poor Disappointed to learn our vehicle hire rate change a day after we hired the vehicle - fortunately we manage to resolve this and avoid paying increased rate.

• Dennis (9/5): A wonderful experience from the moment of pick up to the Moment we were dropped off at the Airport. - The Room was well appointed the Bed was comfortable. The Staff were exceptionally helpful. The food was well Delicious (except for a very Salty Lamb Rogan Gosh) and reasonably priced. The Hire Car from them was affordable. Stayed over 3 nights in the space of 1 week and it was starting to feel like home. I didn't like leaving. On the First morning I sat on a chair in the Dining room which had a wet cushion (It rained Heavily through the night) more funny than a dislike. Apart from that there was nothing not to like about the place.

• Tom (9/5): Superb - Very welcoming staff and the place it's self was very comfortable. Easy to get to with it's free shuttle service and centered right in kokopo. The WiFi wasn't as reliable due to weather issues. So expect infrequent connection.

• Caylith (9/5): The Jewel of East New Britain - This is a return visit, this is truly a delightful place to stay when visiting East New Britain. It is central in Kokopo with a supermarket a short walk and the wonderful village markets a slightly longer walk but still easily achievable. The staff were extremely helpful, and nothing was too much effort. The facilities were clean and comfortable, with enough power points to charge an army worth of devices. The Executive Bungalow was cooled by the ocean breeze and had a lovely little private deck, but also had AC that worked really well when it got a bit too hot for open doors and windows. The bed was very comfortable and there were ample tea and coffee supplies. The grounds were extremely well-tended, and the pool was clean and well-kept. The tours on offer were all organised easily, and were well worth the cost - Rabaul Dive Tours do an amazing job. I strongly recommend the dolphin swim and the snorkelling at Little Pigeon Island. There are other resorts in Kokopo but the centrality of this one, along with all of its other facilities and services, is a winner. There is very little to dislike; the lighting in the rooms was a little dark and some of the prices in the restaurant for evening meals are high.

• Realme (8/5): Excellent..Had out of the world experience with dolphins - What i want to mention is Mukesh- Resort Manager has helped me walking extra mile. i had almost missed the flight port moresby to sydney as a connecting flight to port moresby was cancelled.i could only make it to australia because of Mukesh's kind help. He is an asset to any Team. Heartfelt Thank you again to him The resort forgot to pick up me from Airport . only after making the call from Airport transport arrived . i was standing alone for more than an hr.But resort not only acknowledged the mistake but also apologiesed . They made up for that by many lovely jestures. i am sure they have taken note of the incident to avoid it in future.
• Patricia (5/5): Passable - Definitely the location and its proximity to town and shopping center. Catering staff were very nice and pleasant. The beach was dirty which was disappointing considering it was a good spot for swimming. Secondly there was only one wifi code provided which is for only one device and we weren't informed about it upon check in, we only found out when we enquired at the reception why the other guest was not able to connect to the wifi. We were told that they'd provide another token but they never did. Lastly even when two guests were booked into the executive Bangalow there was only one towel provided in the room so abit dissappointing as they should know that the booking was made for 2 guests with a child.

Transport provided to n from airport. we booked for four nights via booking.com. but on the 3rd day at 8am received a call from reception that we were supposed to move to another room to give way to new group of visitors who hv pre booked this room. when I asked at the front desk , no one reply n explain why was the call made. I did not want to raise this issue to the higher authorities but thought at least someone explain n apologize. human do make mistakes but is ok to explain n let the customer feel safe n not avoiding mistakes made by keeping it silence.

• Iwona (3/5): Poor - I stayed at the Beach Bungalow Resort in the past and it was enjoyable experience. However, this time I was dissapointed, mainly with two things Aiport shuttle - i sent two messages to the Resort via Booking application about the flight number and arrival time Because the plane was late, I call them from the aiport with the advice and then sent sms when I boarded plane. Yet, alrough there were drivers from other hotels, no one from BB. I called the BB upon arrival two times! Together with three other visitors we waited approx 20 min. The second point of dissapointment is the fact that BB advertises on the Booking free aiport shuttle yet upon check out I was charged Kina 88 I don't mind paying but I do not like to be cheated. If you advertise free service then deliver or update your descrription on Booking page I was in Kokopo for a short business meeting therefore such dissapointing experience at the start and the end of the visit was felt strongly.

The power went off during dinner, and again 4 times on our return to the room. The TV eventually stopped working after the power went off several times. The room amenities were very basic. There is no beach as such, even though it's called the Bungalow Beach Resort.

The location was very peaceful with it's private footpath to the beach and beautiful views overlooking the volcanoes.

• Nora (4/5): Overpriced for a service that isn't delivered. - The service could be improved. From start to end of my stay, the restaurant service was slow, the staff keep to one section of the restaurant where you'd need to approach the counter to be served. When I was checking out the staff member showed she was stressed out by telling off her colleagues over the phone in front of guests which was unprofessional and unpleasant. We once requested the shuttle, along with other hotel guests, instead of notifying us that the shuttle was unavailable, we ended up waiting for a good 30-minutes then had to find our own way back to the hotel.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Good place to be - This nice hotel has a great staff, and is easy walking distance to the Kokopo market and all the transportation options around there. They offer some great local tours (some a bit pricey) with very good guides. The restaurant is quite good, although their complimentary breakfast is somewhat basic. Their wifi only works in the lobby, and only sometimes (the first is their doing, the latter their ISP's doing).

• Cliff (10/5): - KBB is a fantastic accommodation. Everything about the place is fantastic: rooms, view, cleanliness, food, staff, the list goes on. When you consider all the activities in the area (WWII wreck diving, jungle tours, etc) KBB is an easy choice. Shout out to the Food manager and his wife who is also the head cook. Great job !
• Michael (10/5): Fantastic Romantic Getaway with Dolphins! - Amazing facility and fantastic staff!! From check-in to departure, we were catered to like VIPs. The bungalows are romantic (but still have AC), the food was great in the restaurant, and the views are incredible. The owner of the resort greets all the guests personally, and makes sure that everything is running smoothly. They also offer amazing tours around the island, as well as swimming with 150 dolphins!! Can't recommend this place more highly!
• Juan (8/5): Swimming with the dolphins was incredible - The hotel is beautiful, the sunrise and the view of the volcano from the restaurant is amazing. The hotel is not cheap but its worth it. The only thing that needs improvement is the restaurant service, really slow and while friendly the lack of initiative from the staff to approach guests and engage with them is quite noticeable. Cocktails and food were nice, the gift shop has really good stuff, the snorkelling while very expensive is quite good. But what is unique at this place is the swimming with the dolphins. I swam with hundreds of them all on my own and the experience was amazing!
• Karl (8/5): - Staff very friendly, food rather poor , especially western type, Asian food was ok, wifi only available around restaurant area not in bungalows, is close to town, but nothing much of interest there, recommend the following excursions : Harbour Cruise, Gazelle Peninsular tour
• todd (10/5): Central location - Located walking distance from markets. Local architecture well integrated into creature comforts of modernity. AC and fan. Spacious room. Fridge. Great amenities.
• Stephen (10/5): Very good stay at KBB. - Stayed at KBB for four nights in late November while on a diving trip. I was more than happy with everything. Room was very good and air conditioning worked well, restaurant meals were very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again and recommend to others.
