• Shoji (10/5): Beautiful accommodation superb host - The accommodation is full of old Japanese house charm and character and nice decorations yet modern comfort facilities.easy access from Kanazawa station 10 minutes by taxi or you can walk take 30 minutes and walk distance to kenrok garden and castle and market and I have to mention about house owner!she is so helpful for everything we need she offers transportation to station ,gives us recommendations restaurants and places information and more. Definitely I recommend. Some of bed room is bit too bright in morning.

• Vincent (10/5): Golden. - The host went above and beyond to accommodate us and giving recommendations. The property is a bit of a walk from the main tourist loop but you can experience more of the local areas.
• Lauri (10/5): Traditional experience - It was a traditional Japanese house - the whole house, not a room in a house. Easily room for 5-6 people. There were 2 of us. Our host, Yumiko, was wonderfully attentive. She coordinated with us in advance, picked us up at the train station, and even dropped us off again at the end of our stay. She sent us a note the morning after our first night, just to check in.

• Lucia (9/5): Authentic and very comfortable Japanese home, ideal for guests travelling independently by car - The house is a true Japanese machya house in a quiet location, close to all the main attractions if one has a car. There are very good car parking facilities nearby and great restaurants too. The owner is very friendly and obliging, always available to provide advice and lend a hand. It would have been nice if there could have been a screen to make the entrance more private from the street, so that passerbys would not be able to peek inside while guests are in the premises.

• Julia (10/5): - We loved our stay in Kanazawa at Guest House Ui-ca. Yumiko-san was a lovely hostess, even picking up our luggage from the train station so we didnt have to carry anything. The accomodation is geat too with all its different rooms and the traditional Japanese bath. We would love to stay here again, if we have the chance to visit another time!

It was such a nice welcome. The traditional baths and futon were an awesome experience. The house itself is full of beautiful art and decorations. A truly wonderful time.

À 2 minutes d’un arrêt de bus, 15 minutes du centre-ville. Accueil formidable de Yumiko. N’hésitez pas de lui demander ses conseils en matière de restaurants. Elle connaît les meilleures tables de la ville. Grâce à elle, nous avons divinement bien mangés à Kanazawa.

Traditional house with modern amenities. Very authentic japanese experience. Yumiko was an excellent hostess – she even picked is up at the station! What a sweetheart! Everything was great.

• Liz (9/5): Brilliant two night stay! - We loved our two night stay at Kanazawa. It was so fun to experience a traditional family home. My kids loved exploring all the rooms! It's a short 10 minute walk to town, with a few really yummy restaurants very close to home. The town centre of heaps of delicious food options. The house itself had lots of bedding, heaps of lovely towels, had the cutest little bathroom and the nicest host called Yumiko who couldn't have been more helpful. I would highly recommend for those families wanting to experience a more traditional Japanese homestay.
• Leah (10/5): Cozy traditional Japanese house - My group of four adults really enjoyed our time at Guest House Ui-ca. The house is adorable and we enjoyed experiencing a day in the life of traditional Japanese housing. Yumiko was a wonderful host. She responded quickly to messages and we knew she was nearby in case anything came up during our stay. We stayed in August and one of the bedrooms was very hot. The bedroom had an A/C unit, but it was placed far away from the beds and near a stairwell that let the cool air escape the room.

• Jeanne (10/5): Fabulous stay in an historic machiya , great location and very welcoming host. - A beautiful historic machiya, lovely furniture , very comfortable, Yumiko was such a wonderful and welcoming host and was there to greet us and even drive us to our restaurant the first evening even though she was staying elsewhere. We felt very privileged to be able to stay in a machiya . The property was perfect in every way.
• Cameron (10/5): Exceptional - Wanted to experience a machiya while visiting in Japan, and thought that Kanazawa would be the best place to do it. Ui-ca guesthouse exceeded my expectations—the house itself was very tidy, well-kept with updated fixtures, yet still retained all the charm of an older structure. Everything was beautifully decorated, and the house was so thoughtfully furnished—our family's stay was very comfortable. The host, too, was exceptionally kind and a wonderful communicator, offering to help us with our luggage (of which we had a lot) and even giving us a ride our first day out on her way home. Thank you so much for a great stay~~ next time I come to Kanazawa, would definitely love to stay here again!
