- Heather (6/5): Unrealized Potential - The woman who runs the place was delightful! The place itself… could definitely be better. It wouldn’t take much to turn this into a pretty nice hotel - a higher standard of cleanliness, having an outlet near the bed, or any sort of nightstand or lamp for when you want to relax and wind down, or maybe a chair to sit on that’s not toddler sized. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep and don’t care about much else, then this will do just fine. But the shower barely got warm and sprayed water everywhere outside the shower, and none of the surfaces looked clean. I rarely write bad reviews, but this is one of the most disappointing stays I’ve ever been to. The breakfast was pretty decent though, and the cats outside the main building were entertaining to watch. Do yourself a favor and check out the similarly priced B&B around the corner instead!

- Verified traveler (8/5): 性價比還不錯的民宿 - 浴室的置物架可以看看要怎麼擺比較好，在浴室正中有點擋路。洗澡的水很容易流到馬桶這邊，加上氣候比較潮濕，沒那麼快乾比較不方便。 不然房間很乾淨，床也很舒適，早餐小菜很多樣，還有特別的茶饅頭很好吃，連外國人都喜歡 入住時還會跟你提醒日出的時間，很貼心

- Yung (6/5): - This hotel is not friendly to elderly people. They don’t have a bed but only a mattress on the floor. There is no chair but only a stool. Everything else is above average.

- Betty Jeanne (10/5): Charming Taiwanese hostel - For travelers seeking an “authentic” Alishan experience, this local hostel offers a great deal. It lacks many of the amenities that tourists accustomed to Western lodgings will miss, but it is well-situated in the small township of Longtouping and is a great value for the area. Longtouping is on the bus route to Alishan national recreation area, about an hour further up the mountains. It is close to Shizhuo to the north, where you’ll find restaurants and tea shops, and Eryanping to the south, where a worthwhile trail begins. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. The only less than ideal feature were the mattresses, which we found too hard; they also sat right on the wooden floor. The includes breakfast buffet was excellent and featured unique (and delicious) items such as steamed oolong bread and oolong tea baked bread. The proprietors were friendly and extremely helpful with suggestions. We managed our visit without a car, although we did hire a taxi for a full day of touring to Fenqihu, Shizhuo, and other sights.

- Verified traveler (8/5): 開車比較好 - 如果沒有開車，不建議住在這邊。由巴士站需要行10分鐘斜路上去，中途有部份斜路並沒有街燈。 Check in 後要再行一段斜路，才能到達二人房的位置。隔音比較差，你會聽見隔離喺度跳😅 但係只需要步行3分鐘就可以看見日出及雲海。同埋有幾隻貓貓做店長

- Danica (6/5): Nice lodge but felt a little dirty - The main hall for breakfast felt lovely. It was nice and clean with beautiful wooden tables. The rooms felt like there was visible dust on the questionable decor pieces. It has some cotton swab like material covering the light fixtures which collected nothing but dust and dead bugs. It felt gross as that was hanging above the shower.the location was also difficult to drive to. Google les us through this one route which went up a very steep driveway. It was a narrow road that could barely fit one car. The ground felt fairly clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast they served was also delicious. The motel cooked up fresh eggs and a delicious oolong tea bao.

- ? (8/5): - The hotel itself is a bit above the hills so it maybe a little difficult for older people to get to with heavy luggage. I may be mistaken but there weren’t any restaurants nearby but there is a convenience store nearby so if you want to have something nice for dinner I recommend getting something to eat first. Everything besides that was fantastic. There’s a little clearing right above the hill the hotels located where you can see the sunrise, and I believe one of the staff was there and explaining something, though it was in mandarin and I could not understand. The room was reasonably clean. There’s no AC but it’s ok because it’s not too hot since it’s so high up. Breakfast was nice and the staff, though not very professional, more than make up for it in friendliness. Checkout took less than a minute, and the bus stop is less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel. They also have cats, which is nice.

- Chia-Fen (8/5): - 山上民宿，看遠山日出就在民宿附近，出入有點泥濘因為山上下雨，停車在露營區泥土草地上。夜晚可看滿天星斗，整體住宿算乾淨
- Wang Ho (10/5): - It’s a basic bnb yet got everything you need. It’s clean and the room is spacious. The breakfast comes very different varieties and very delicious. This is a big add on. The location is in the middle of every spot of Alishan and can be reached within an hour if you are driving
- Yu Chang (8/5): - 整體氛圍很放鬆，我們入住主建築一樓，房間設備尚可，門打開就是用餐大廳，一眼可看進來房間，隱密性稍差。有一個貓貓樂園，能夠嚕貓、餵罐罐，非常紓壓。附近沒有太特別的景點，入住旅客請一定要早起看日出，更有值回票價的感覺。這裡可以DIY多肉植物盆栽，對喜歡的人來說可以耗個半天沒問題。老闆娘乍看有點冷淡，但其實只是很放鬆而已，需要協助的時候，還是會熱心講解、導覽。烏龍茶饅頭非常好吃，離開前可以購買，帶回來和家人分享，大家都說很好吃。
- Kelly Chen Chen (10/5): - 農場位於一個雲霧遼繞, 夢似真的茶山上, 臨近悠美的石棹步道群, 頗有空山靈雨之美. 我們4天3夜的旅行, 在後兩天恰逢颱風過境。農場主人在封路断電断 WiFi 的情況下, 貼心照顧我們安全與方便, 烹調美味可口的高山菜式, 又在風雨中幫我們開路下山. 非常難忘的的旅程. 期待下次帶親友回訪！

- Ao Kit (6/5): - 我是冬天去的，剛好又遇到冷鋒，房間沒有暖氣或空調，太冷了。被子是厚的，但要差不多兩個小時，才能真的暖起來。 早餐部分，無論是按月7:30下去吃還是什麼時間點，食物有部份是涼的，每天都是，我試過了。 如果開車技術沒有很好，不容易開上去的，要留意喔！

Dining: Very good breakfast with many special products from local. But no dinner provide, no restaurant close to property. Only dining place is 7-11! :( Sunrise trip: 3 minutes walk from house, owner will give briefing of sun rise and sun set theory. Also introduce the mountain detailly, very friendly senior. :) Very nice environment, good for family visit, kids will love there.

- Chih-Min (8/5): 旺季時期的另類選擇 - 阿里山在旅遊旺季一向不容易訂房，要不就天價，這家民宿是一個不錯的選擇，價格相對親民，但如果對住宿的地點或舒適度有格外高要求的人這可能要另尋方案。整體來說算有達到旅人的基本需求。所標榜賣點的私人觀賞日出景點則其實是一塊距離1分鐘路程的草坪空地，稍嫌陽春了點，風景宜人但沒有到令人驚艷的程度，而草地上一大早就有蚊子，如果穿著輕便涼鞋記得噴防蚊液⋯不要像我為了看日出腳踝被咬了好幾個包，相當可惜地掃興。另外房間是麻雀雖小五臟俱全，沒有一般桌椅，只有小板凳一張，基本要席地而坐，習慣西式房、身材高大者，或對床墊有要求者可能沒辦法感覺很舒服。另外最明顯不合格的地方是浴室清潔不夠到位，淋浴間地板、蓮蓬頭的孔洞間，跟馬桶座蓋的縫隙都有明顯污垢，有點讓人感到噁心了，鏡子前燈光不夠亮，照明很昏暗也讓人覺得困擾。其他配備跟服務都算中規中矩的民宿，民宿內的貓咪軍團跟多肉花園對喜好者算是一個額外亮點。早餐提供中式與西式兩種選擇：清粥小菜或吐司抹果醬，個人推薦烏龍茶饅頭夾荷包蛋&高麗菜、脆筍，很好吃😋不愧是阿里山的高山蔬菜，格外清脆甜美，樸實但道地，有讓人感到輕快的愉悅。
- CHI HAI (10/5): - 當初看到很多負評，所以入住時有多帶2件孩子常蓋的小被子，擔心冷熱水很極端還帶了水盆準備兌溫水用。 但或許是做好準備工作了，到了現場其實沒有網友說的那麼嚴重，床墊的確硬了點，被子不夠自己有帶，水溫其實很正常，以3100元一個晚上，2大2小在阿里山的住宿，很超值了。 隔天早上很幸運的走5分鐘的路程，就可以看到日出，早餐也十分美味，孩子們看到平常不允許靠近的野貓，媽媽竟然允許摸摸它們了，全都興奮不已。 對於選擇阿里山的第一晚入住初日，我很滿意。

- Verified traveler (6/5): 位置不錯，景緻好，惟設備硬體需改善 - 不想再住的地方 平心而論，期初設備不差，就是維護太差。 1.除濕機：國際牌的，濾網沒清洗，3間房都一樣；容量小，不到一天儲滿。 2.闆娘說：恆溫熱水器，1房用1台，沒使用說明，蓮蓬頭架壞損沒修，水溫無法調節。無解。 3.馬桶凱撒的，但是⋯側漏、滲水、廁所異味；我們不是第一個遇到，網路評價也很多人提⋯⋯似乎沒啥改善。 4.門板、牆壁木板，用衛生紙擦拭⋯灰色粉塵(>﹏<) 5.慶幸有查網評，棉被不夠暖，自帶毛毯出門，不然真的會凍僵。 6.單層床墊：不適合老人家住宿，起臥不易，要搭把手，才能起床。 希望以上問題，老闆&闆娘，盡快改善。 因為這兒後面景緻優美，停車場跟住宿地方接近。 早餐不怕你吃、穀物飲桂格的，老闆有用心。 路口有7-11、小吃店，覓食容易。

- sherry (10/5): Nice place to stay in Alishan - Owner very friendly and room is clean. Cats are cute. Overall I would say with under $50 dollars per night for 2 people this price is decent!
- I lin (10/5): 還不錯 - 洗澡水很大很熱，房間簡單（但依照房價是可以接受的），沒有冷氣但冬天會冷也不需要。離景點都蠻近的，唯一就是床需要改進（彈簧已經變形而且可以感覺到凹陷），房間乾淨，早餐算豐富，老闆跟服務人員都很友善，環境安靜，適合大人去放空。
- CHUA (6/5): 除非訂不到房間，否則不推 - 最大賣點是老闆和闆娘收留很多貓咪，每一隻都很獨特可愛。環境算乾淨！只是房間裡比較潮濕，淋浴間的設計待改進，洗澡水會弄濕衣物，隔音很差，淺眠的人不適合。另外一個比較大的問題，吃早餐很不自在，闆娘會盯著房客看。

- Verified traveler (4/5): 不值這個價格的住宿 - 不值這個價格的住宿，簡易木板蓋成的木屋，然後隔間。隔音極查，房間內還留有用過的毛巾，桌子黏黏用濕紙巾一查是咖啡色的茶漬（或咖啡漬） 浴室的窗戶一面是透明的，直接就用廣告紙貼起來。我覺得非常的簡陋

- Verified traveler (2/5): 不歡迎親子家庭的民宿 - 訂房房型跟實際入住落差很大 這不是最重要的 我們在乎的是民宿業者對待住客的心跟待客態度 ㄧ到現場看到小朋友 女老闆馬上說我們這裡不歡迎小孩入住訂房網站上都有規定 硬要加收清潔跟早餐費 請問一下外面露營區成群結隊的小朋友是在哈囉嗎？ 實際跟業者反應民宿網站入住規則並沒有明文規定7歲以下兒童不能入住 民宿負責人只打電話請阿里山初日的客服 請我向她的客服反應 這是負責任民宿該有的處理態度嗎？ 讓我們開心渡假的心 down 到谷底 原本要住2晚 隔日上午我們就退房回家了

- Verified traveler (6/5): 1.6K的住宿還可以 - 加床棉被要200，水溫不穩，地點不好找，老闆算熱情，老闆娘烹飪好吃，看中天的商家，老闆娘屬鋼鐵韓粉，貓咪可愛親人，民宿周遭光害不小，空氣還不差，木屋隔音不好，鄰房開關門聲音清晰，枕頭不好睡，床跟棉被不差，沒有空調，如果冬天入住還可以，秋天入住有點辛苦，有提供小風扇！網路速度不差，晚餐付費每人380,也可以開車約十分鐘再上石棹吃，很多飲食可供選擇，下次會選擇住在石棹民宿1.2.3.4.5街，各方面可能稍優。

- Verified traveler (4/5): - 我未去之前，巳經發電郵詢問如何到達民宿同説明我沒有開車及不是本地人。在奮起湖要搭返公車落去龍頭坪，在公車還要行10-15分鐘上斜坡碎石路，才找到民宿。周圍無有任何可以吃食或買飯食的地方，到埗當日，才告知之我民宿連要另外付費的晚餐也沒有，最起碼的服務態度都沒有，展轉由打工轉宿的妹妹詢問老闆娘後才叫我吃民宿的免費杯當晚餐！？中伏

- Foo (8/5): 3.4* - The location is very good although not easily accessible unless you are driving or hire an expensive taxi. The host is gracious and the sun rise was super. The room with mattress on the floor may be in appropriate for western guests. There was also no chair in the room. The ladder serving as a tower hanger in the bath room, though innovative, was awkward as it moves. The breakfast is fine. WiFi was weak.

- Anton (10/5): Friendly and cosy property - Staff was very friendly although they spoke only basic English. Rooms are located in a separate building which is nice enough although a bit basic (and walls are thin). Rooms had great views on the surrounding mountains and countryside. Breakfast was a great spread of homemade dishes. The location is quite remote so don't plan on spending an evening out. The hosts can prepare dinner but you need to give advance notice. Wi-Fi signal was very weak in the room.

- Verified traveler (10/5): 準備安排下次露營～ - 親切的民宿主人與員工，還有一群療癒的貓咪，呼吸早晨新鮮的空氣，雖然這次沒能見到日初，期待下次的到訪能見到日出！唯一美中不足是隔音問題，如果注重睡眠品質就不建議，但我們還可以接受，因為這樣的環境很快就可以入睡準備迎接早晨的日初～！下次會再來訪！

- Chen Yan (10/5): Best hotel I have stayed in Taiwan - It was not easy to find the hotel, as the sun had set early and Alishan road signages aren't exactly the best. The search was absolutely worth it however - our room was extremely clean when we arrived, and was very comfortable. The bosses are very friendly, and were always happy to share stargazing spots or information on the surrounding sightseeing locations. The breakfast was amazing, and the owners agreed to serve breakfast early for us when we mentioned that we had to leave Alishan early to make our flight. The numerous cats on the property were delightful. There was a large lobby that the rooms shared, that we could hang out with other hotel guests for tea or a beer. We shared some coffee that other guests had brought. Mr Chai (the owner) showed us to the sunrise location early in the morning, and was able to narrate the history and mountains that we could see from the spot. The room was a little chilly at night even though duvets were already provided, so stay warm with additional clothing!
- Verified traveler (10/5): A convenient place to view sunrise - They have a great place which is 6 mins away to view sunris, if the weather is good. View is really pretty. Room is comfortable and pretty. Just that our room's toilet, has stagnant water or sewage smell. Which is not too pleasant when we need to visit the toilet. It has a air ventilator in the toilet, but the smell still persist. Shower area is a little small, which i tend to knock the wall a few times, during shower. And shower water temperature is inconsistent, especially when someone is having their shower in other rooms. Other than that, everything is good and comfortable to us. Would give a good rating for the beautiful sunrise spot.
- Audrey Hui Fern (10/5): Sunrise in Alishan - The stay was amazing with beautiful and comfortable room which is only a couple minutes walk to a gorgeous sunrise viewing place. Quite a number of lovely cats, which made it hard to bid goodbye to the place.
- Charles (8/5): Nice Environment - Lots of cat. I love cats. First day check-in the young hotel manager not that friendly but the owner is very helpful.
- sam (8/5): Great service and lovely accommodation - This family run hotel offers great views to the sunrise. Though it might be an hour’s journey to Alishan National Park, the friendly staff makes the place homely. Evenings are a great time to spend quality time talking as the few stores around closes at about 9. (There aren’t many street lamps either, so the room is the best place to be...)
- Zhijian (10/5): Value for money - Value for money home stay. The boss was friendly, and walked us to another location to view sunrise. Food (breakfast) was interesting, as it was full of local flavours.
- Eddy (8/5): Homely feel and great sunrise spot just 6 minutes - If you appreciate a homely environment and lot of cats around, this is a place for you. The boss of the place is strict with the cats and not letting them to enter the dining areas, hence you can rest assure to have your meals comfortably. Breakfast is simple but sufficient for us. If you prebook their dinner package, the lady boss may surprise you with her specially prepared dinner. Fancy some edible flower petals and green leaf, this is the place for you to have the dinner. If you are not an early riser and wish to catch the sun rise, the owner will bring you to a spot just 6 minutes away from the place. Else you may need to wake up at 4am to catch the sunrise at the main attraction spot in Alishan. That wouldn't serve me well as I have a small infant with me during the trip.
- Chee Keong (8/5): Pleasant stay but far from amenities - Easy access to Alishan National Park but still need transport arrangement which the Inn can arrange at a cost. Sunrise observation short walk form Inn.
