Melanie (4/5): Over $35 in different "taxes" added for a 1 night stay. - Location & size of the room. Breakfast was a disaster....dirty and out of food. Room receipt had over $35 in taxes added on, absolutely ridiculous! Should be illegal to add 5/6 different taxes to a hotel stay.

Deb (9/5): We'll definitely stay there again. - The breakfast was good. The location was good except the turn off the main, having to go across 3 lanes in such a short distance. Could be very dangerous at peak time. Having to go to the water park for the Hot tub. Trying to relax in park is kinda hard to do. We didn't use it 😭 That's one of our favorite things!

Sean (10/5): Excellent choice! - Well managed facility, very clean, very friendly staff. Breakfast had a good variety and was always full of guests, but there was no shortage of food and the staff was there to help. Rooms are well laid out and comfortable. It was nice to have a large refrigerator and real dishes. Bed was comfortable and TV was smart. Divider curtain between the bed and the rest of the room is a genius idea, very helpful! Shower only, no bathtub.

Michelle (10/5): Fun. Exceptional. - Breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. Watiki is a blast. The kids loved spending the weekend swimming. We will be back again for my son's birthday. Home2 was a great hotel. Breakfast should start at 6 on the weekends.

Jenna (6/5): - Overall my stay at the hotel was very pleasent. The room was clean,the amenities were great, and staff (with one exception) were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, i had a disappointing experience withone of the front desk staff, McKenzie. I found her to be unapproachable, unprofessional and unnecessarily rude during our interaction, which really stood out agaisnt the otherwise excellent service at the hotel. I hope management adresses this issue, as first impressions and front desk sevice are a key part of any guest experince.

Brittney (4/5): Cat Pee Room - The room we receive smelled of Cat pee to the point we asked for a new room. They couldn't switch rooms for us because the hotel was booked up and they gave us an air freshener to hide the small. The next day was the same thing and they had no room to give us. told us the room was cleaned when we got back but still had to use the air freshener that made the room full of chemicals. Not a great place to stay if your not a pet/pee person I didn't know that every room has had an animal in it at some point in time. I will not stay at that hotel again. People working at the hotel front desk were willing to help as much as they could just didn't have the space to move us around. They offered a refund but couldn't do anything because we broked through Hotels.com

VERONICA (2/5): - The room smelled like a wet dog puked and peed on the carpet and couch! Air freshner and airing the room with door propped open was no help at all. The shelve in the closet was covered with dog hair.
294derekp (10/5): Great location with great services - We had an excellent stay here when we visited the Black Hills area. The location is extremely easy to get to right off of i90. Our room was a 2 queen bed studio. There was ample room for a family of 4. We had a nice fridge, microwave, dishwasher, kitchen and bathroom sink. Plates and utensils were furnished. It was very clean, well lit and smelled fresh. Space was greatly utilized as the desk rolls out and the bathroom door is a sliding door. Also having end tables on both sides of the bed was a nice plus so all our devices could be charged. The Breakfast was fantastic. There is a lot of variety. Our options were sausage patties, egg patties, egg and bacon bites, french toast, a yogurt machine, apples, bananas, assorted cereals, 2 waffle makers, bagels, toast, and various toppings. They had fruit juices, teas, and coffee. I am not a coffee drinker but I enjoyed their coffee. An added bonus was being attached to Watiki water park which is included in your stay. It's a short walk from the lobby.

Stephanie (6/5): Service was great. Water park needs work - Service was excellent. The girl working the front was kind, helpful and able to share knowledge of the area for us. She was very kind to my 13yo son when he called down to ask questions about the water park. Water park was a disappointment. It was overcrowded, not enough lifeguards. People were rude and it was not safe due to this. My son ended up having another child slide down a slide on to him and he scraped his arm up.

Rachel (3/5): Terrible Quality for Value - Size of room. The room quality was not as expected for the price at all. The bathroom smelled like poop, upon coming in the room yesterday evening, and when showering it only got worse. The door handle was broken off the bedroom door completely, on the side facing the living room area, we got it to go back on and be usable, but it desperately needs fixed. The bathroom pocket doors additionally do not close/lock at all. We were able to get one of them from the front to kitchen area, to somewhat work with a gap, but there was absolutely zero privacy between rooms. We also only had 3 pillows for 2 people and there were no belle carts yesterday evening, at 11pm or the following morning at 8am to check out of the hotel. Overall it was a very crappy experience. I understand busy times as Sturgis just started but the cost compared to the service/quality was unacceptable. Maybe it normally isn't $400 a night, but the most I would pay for a room like this is $150. The staff seemed nice enough but the hotel was extremely awful.

I guess pictures from the internet don’t do justice until you actually see your room. Old, outdated and dirty. It looks like this hotel needs a renovation or just new furniture to spruce up the room.

Juan (6/5): Disappointed - Usually our go to hotel is home2 but the rapid city hotel was not up to standard. The front desk lady was not very friendly, housekeeping did not do a great job. Bedding wasn’t put on correctly and no attention to detail. The floors in the rooms could use a cleaning as well as teach the staff to properly clean the shower/tub. Pink around the drain. The coffee area out in the main area was not kept up. The one positive was access to the inside water park! Do not recommend staying here.

Shelves on the wall for double the counter space... so much room to spread your stuff out! I will stay here again in a heartbeat! Spacious and sooooo clean! Friendly front desk. Waterpark included wity stay and a lot of fun to use to wind down at night! My only complaint is wish waterpark was open til 10. Other than that... perfection!

Staff are nice but when made aware of the issue with the pullout bed, nothing was done and the carpet needed cleaned. I would still stay there again. I do feel bad for the staff because they allow pets but the some of the pet owners are not cleaning up after they puddle.

This location is attached to an indoor water park so there are a lot of kids... but they were well behaved with responsible parents. Is this a reflection of the clients?
