• Kathy (10/5): Close location to St Marys hospital in Decatur - Close proximity to St Marys hospital for an early morning surgery. Several close eating establishments and a walmart nearby. They provided a breakfast bag for those who had to leave prior to breakfast being served

• Carlye (8/5): Nice room, clean, good breakfast (except coffee not hot). Need to communicate how to schedule bus. - The lemon waffles and lemon poppy seed scones. Proximity to airport. There is no info on how the shuttle bus works. There was no way to book a time slot and although the day before I told a staff member when I wanted to leave, the message didn't seem to be recorded anywhere. I saw the bus in the morning but no driver. Finally, I went into the office (you don't have a bell) and told a young guy when I needed to leave. But when the time came I still did not see any driver and no one was behind the desk. You just need to make YOUR expectations clear. Do you want customers to walk up and request on the spot. Do you want advance notice? There was often no one visible at the desk to communicate with so you could have a sign-up sheet or app for requesting a specific time. Also, when I arrived at the airport the driver could not tell me how to get the door open from the inside and honestly, I think she should have gotten out and opened it. I was reaching over my suitcase to grab the handle because she never opened the back so I had my bag wedged in next to me. Is the shuttle strictly for trips to and from the airport or does it go elsewhere? I suggest asking customers to call the desk and schedule 15 minutes in advance or have someone manning the desk who can deal with this.

• Helen (9/5): Super Hot - The room was neat and clean. The bed was very, very comfortable. The breakfast was great, and the staff working in the breakfast area were helpful and friendly. A few more bath towels and more water in the room on Day 2 would have been very nice.

Mae and Ireta were especially kind as they provided assistance when needed and were always ready to help. The fire pit outside set the ambiance for great family bonding, the hotel was clean and updated, and Mae went above and beyond when we asked even though it was inconvenient for her. Thank you so much. We loved our stay, even considering the circumstances.

• Karen (10/5): Thank you Hampton in Decatur - I really enjoyed my stay at the Hampton in Decatur after a 3 Hour Dr. from Chicago. It was greeted by a very pleasant young lady named Jasmine. She quickly checked me in and informed me that there was a Free shuttle for the concert I was attending that night. That was a pleasant surprise. The room was perfect; clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. I didn’t get the name of the shuttle driver, but she was so nice. On our return, she was curious about our concert experience and was offering ideas about where to get a late night bite to eat. Very comfortable night sleep and a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Again, I did not get her name, but the woman that was attending. The breakfast buffet was so engaging & helpful. Beth checked me out very efficiently, apologized for your renovation construction, and also was very pleasant and helpful. Kudos to your fabulous staff : Jasmine, Beth, shuttle driver and buffet attendant. I have told many people about my wonderful experience at the Devon and the Hampton Inn. I will definitely be returning. Look forward to seeing all of you again. Thank you, Karen Bromberger.

We had to sleep with the latch lock on our door and that was all and did not feel safe in his hotel! So we drove for 5 hours to come to a wedding that we were not able to go due to not being able to leave the room because it would not lock

• Brian (10/5): - Hotel was super great will go back to this hotel again and continusly in the future. But what I didn't like was in the pool area it felt hot and no chlorine in the skimmer baskets. Put pop in the little fridge in our room and it froze on us couldn't drink it. Having a shuttle to Devon amphitheater is nice too.
• Mom2blondes71 (10/5): Would definitely stay here again! - I stayed at this hotel for two nights for a work event in Decatur. It was a very nice stay. The hotel is updated and clean. They had a good breakfast selection, including grab and go breakfasts. The gym was very nice. It had updated equipment and a good selection of dumbbells, resistance bands, and kettlebell weights. Also, everyone working there was friendly. My only suggestions for improvement are to add a couple firm pillows to the rooms and to fix the doors. The pillows were VERY soft and offered little support. The doors were a very tight fit (probably due to repainting and the high humidity). That made it hard to close them and it caused extra noise from the hallway when others were having to pull extra hard to close their doors. I would still stay there again and will recommend it to others.

Market in lobby was well-stocked with a thoughtful variety of snacks and drinks. Breakfast open until 10 and breakfast attendant was friendly, attentive, and kept the space clean and well-stocked. Received a friendly goodbye on the way out (seemingly a rarity these days!). Was a great stop for my family.

Second off you then can not close the door unless you lift up on the door handle and put your weight behind it. Look up the door hinges on top are loose. Go to the front desk explaining this and she is like the screws are stripped and the ground is settling. My room was supposed to be 2 queen beds to only have 1 king bed. Customer service is awful. Would have been better and cheaper to go elsewhere. Definitely will not be back.

• Kelly (4/5): - Our room was dirty. Had the pink mildew that easily wiped off with wash cloth so could tell was not done plus black mold all along rub edge. Sink had remnants of previous guests toothpaste we assume as well so that tells us it was not cleaned.

Room and furnishings very clean. I would stay here again but will deal directly with Hampton Inn and avoid Hotels.com.

• Robert (4/5): - I stayed there 6 nights and after the first day they stopped doing the daily cleaning of my room. One evening I complained about it, and they sent up a maid who was still on the property. She brought me toilet paper and towels as I requested, but didn't make the bed. After that the room was not cleaned again. I spoke to the desk manager who said she would give me a partial refund. For what this place cost, I should have had better service! Other than that, though, it is a nice hotel, but pricey.
• Kathy (10/5): Close to St. Mary's hospital - The hotel was close to St. Mary's hospital. We stayed the night prior to an early morning procedure. The evening hustle clerk was very nice. Gave me a bottle of water for being a Hilton Honors member and it came in handy at the hospital the next day.

Pool and pool room was actually warm enough (a problem we often have with hotel pools) and I appreciated the long hours it was open for my young kids who wake up early. Breakfast was good, also appreciated that it started early even on a Sunday. Everything was clean! I would only suggest you offer a recycling bin in the room and the breakfast area.
