- Janice (10/5): The perfect location, the perfect accommodation and the perfect hosts - We had such a wonderful warm welcome and they were extremely helpful even carrying my friends case to the room. The room was absolutely perfect for two ladies travelling together. Everything was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was superb once again with excellent service. The breakfast was incredible The staff was so helpful going above and beyond, even putting off freezer blocks in the fridge for us. Would make a detour to stay there if I was travelling anywhere in the future. The owner (sorry I forgot your name) served breakfast and it was apparent. He was not a morning person! Perhaps if you just smiled it would make our day brighter, a small thing, but nonetheless important.

It had a nice walk just adjacent to the hotel which was lovely in the evening. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Although we always found a space, the off street parking was tricky. And I appreciate it’s an older building but the floorboards in the rooms were quite squeaky. We felt quite antisocial walking around our room late at night or early in the morning.

- Neil (8/5): A great breakfast and a comfortable bed to sleep in. - The food was very good, and the staff were charming and gave great service. Only a small thing but the bathroom Door needed adjusting as it would not close properly.
- Gary (9/5): - It's been wonderful at The Masons Arms, couldn't ask for anything more. Wonderful friendly staff, perfect facilities and well worth another visit. There's nothing I can say I didn't like. My only advice, I'd suggest the location is best enjoyed with access to a car.

- Jan (9/5): - Ik kwam te laat aan door een verkeersongeval op de snelweg, maar de sleutel lag voor me klaar op de afgesproken plek. De kamer was uitstekend met een heerlijk bed. Niets.
- Bjorn (10/5): Fantastische plek om de Cotswolds te verkennen! - Mooie oude goed gerenoveerde locatie. Oude elementen behouden! Heel fraai en compleet ontbijt a la carte. Prijs - kwaliteit is echt super in orde! Stil vanaf ca. 22 uur, dan sluit de pub. Heel behulpzaam personeel!
- Nick (9/5): Superb pub with great food and accomodation. Would stay again. - Superb one night stay. Room was great with a very comfortable bed with a choice of pillows (and too many scatter cushions), TV and Coffee facilities and a great bathroom. Had a meal in the resturant which is highly recommended. Also serve local real ale on draft as well. There is also a nice beer garden on the side which is a bit like a village green and great for summer evenings. Popular with locals even mid week so book a table if you want to dine. Instead of a wardrobe there was a hanger on the wall but this was over a table and where the kettle was. It would have been better to put it on the far wall in place of (or behind) the chair. Just a minor point to an otherwise faultless room.

- Elaine (10/5): Hidden Gem in quiet village in Cotswolds .Highly recommended. - Charming chic historical inn beautifully appointed and decorated small room with very comfortable bed , quality linens and large fluffy towels spotlessly clean. Hot & powerful shower .Friendly staff, prompt communication, good choice for breakfast, freshly and excellently cooked Delicious homemade granola of note. Lovely outdoor seating space on green . Strawberry lane walk suggested was delightful. Note re parking …. plenty of spaces around green and on road but very limited on site but this is explained by property . Service in evening was slow as issue with no show member of kitchen staff but it was explained and apologised for by waiting staff . An unfortunate unforeseen occurrence and hopefully one off the dishes when they arrived were delicious.

Breakfast was brilliant, and everything was kept extremely clean throughout our stay. Everything that could be done to make our stay great, was done. Parking was a little tricky, but can't really be helped and comes with the territory, and really cannot hold it against them.

Our stay was made all the better for the amazing staff, nothing was too much bother and always a very welcoming smile. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything you needed for a stay away. The evening meal and breakfast were very good with great menu choices.

- Gert (7/5): Goed, maar kon beter. - Goede bedden en douche, propere mooie kamer, mooi gezellig pand, goed gelegen en vlot stationeren ondanks enkel parking op straat. 1/3 vh avond menu was nt meer te krijgen de avond dat we toekwamen door leveringsproblemen. De fish & chips die we kregen had weinig smaak en had zeer hard gefrituurde stukken. Bij het ontbijt bleek de kok nt opgedaagd die ochtend, waardoor men hals over kop iets moest bedenken, dit werd zeker geapprecieerd door mij en de aanwezigen. Het personeel was heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Echter, voor deze prijs is dit wel veel geld als je dit maar krijgt voor dit bedrag, ondanks de inspanningen.

- Jeremy (5/5): Not up to the same standards as on our previous visit three years ago. - Staff on the first night were poor and unprofessional and I didn’t appreciate having the bill slapped down on the table, making it clear it was time we left. For the amount of money spent, it would have been nice to have had the room cleaned and the bed made.
- Robert (8/5): - The experience was all good but if I had to pick one thing over everything else then it would be the food. Had a double bed and single in my room. Single was comfy, my son had double. Only cos' he is now taller than me,(at 14). Room and bedding was clean. It was everything you would expect and want for a short stay and you would have to be a real moaner to find something to fault. Parking was on the road and not a car park and could be difficult when they are busy but that shows how popular it is.

Unfortunately there was a water tank above our ceiling which was noisy. It’s an old building so difficulties such as this are inevitable.

Wasnt at the location long enough to try the food, the bar looks lovely and welcoming . I didnt realise when I booked that breakfast was only served from 8.30am which is quite late. Sadly, i had to leave the property at 8am and they couldn't offer anything earlier so left without getting the benefit of the breakfast which had great reviews and one of the reasons I booked this particular place.

The hotel itself was very welcoming and even had a doggy station on the stairway offering dog bowls and poo bags! The food was lovely, with an amazing breakfast. the staff were incredible. Rooms were clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated with great facilities. The bathroom showers were lovely too. we had a great stay. We stayed in a quadruple room, which had a double room and separate joined room, with two singles - perfect for our son, who had his own space with TV and we had our own privacy. At around 5:30am a generator outside our window woke us up when it kicked into action, but this was because we had the window open overnight. A wall light was broken in the separate twin room, and a little noisy at night time with people in the corridor, but apart from that our bed was comfy and we had a lovely stay.

Ti mettono in camera tea,bollitore, mini latte , caffè solubile e biscotto a persona home Made. Tutto davvero eccellente! Non avevamo con noi il cane, ma se lo avete qui sarà il suo paradiso. Ti fanno trovare ciotola, bustine per i bisogni, un menu per la cena apposito per loro. Che dire......Ritornerei altre 1000 volte !!! Nulla, tutto fantastico 😉

- Daniel (9/5): - Hier haben wir zu zweit eine Nacht verbracht und genau so haben wir uns einen Pub mit schlafmöglichkeiten, irgendwo in England, vorgestellt. Klein, gemütlich und eher familiär. Essen war super, Frühstück reichlich und Personal war sehr lieb. Es war sehr kalt, das ist glaub ich aber eher normal in so alten Häusern.
