• My Linh (4/5): Không hài lòng - Gần biển Thái độ nhân viên hời hợt vô cảm thiếu chuyên nghiệp-nhất là bộ phận lễ tân, nhà hàng phục vụ chậm chạp khi khách cần gọi thêm gì đó mặc dù không đông khách, dẫn đến dở dang nguội lạnh bữa ăn. Thảm trải hành lang và trong phòng cực kỳ hôi. Nhìn chung biển thì ok nhưng phần dịch vụ dở tệ đồng bộ ở đa phần các bộ phận khi tôi tương tác. Tôi đã ở hệ thống khách sạn này nhiều lần, nhiều nơi khác nhau. Tuy nhiên đây là nơi làm tôi thấy không hài lòng nhất. Tôi không nghĩ sẽ quay lại trong tương lai.

• Manuela (10/5): Einmal Königin sein... - Das war ein mega Erlebnis für mich, in diesem Hotel zu sein, was ich mir gegönnt habe. Ich habe sogar noch eine Nacht dazugebucht. Vom Zimmerservice über die Massagen, vom Restaurant (phänomenales Frühstücksbuffet) über die Rezeption (ganz besonderer Dank geht an Cherry Mai) war alles außergewöhnlich für mich. Pool, Meeresblick- alles vorhanden. Ich fühlte mich wie eine Königin-herzlichst Danke!!!

Die Gesichtskontrolle für das Frühstück ist nicht in Ordnung, da es mir zu persönlich ist, überall ein Foto von mir zu hinterlassen. Niemand weiß für welche Dinge das Foto noch verwendet wird.

Excellent housekeeping We contacted the hotel in advance as it was a special wedding anniversary and paid extra for better room for the romantic break for 3 nights. We received some lovely flowers and small cakes on arrival but were woken up at 6am on first morning by an over zealous leader on a microphone delivering staff training on the beach. On complaining we were told we should have received an email which we didn’t, or sure why the training couldn’t take place in the huge ballroom. From the call guests definitely felt like the second priority. We were then woken up each morning by 7am as our room was situated above the kids park and swimming pool, of which the usage was lots of very large groups of guests with no consideration to other guest some . We complained again and the guest relations came and spoke to us on our last full day to apologise and promising to come back to us to look at moving rooms but never did and give up waiting at 4pm. She also offered to help book a special meal at Vin World which never materialised. All in all the hotel is fantastic but the staff and reception customer service was really poor

• Philip (8/5): Almost perfect - I stopped here for 4 nights, whilst travelling around Vietnam for several weeks. It seemed like the perfect escape from bustling cities and car horns. Unfortunately, on my second day they hosted a private event. It may have been a one off, but I was given no prior warning. I appreciate they need to make money, but the volume of this event was completely unfair on other guests and made the hotel unbearable for a whole day. When quiet, the place has a lovely relaxed feel. I had a super efficient and friendly check in by wonderful Long, and lovely check out Thung (sorry if I have spelt incorrectly). The rooms have that familiar Meliá look and feel. Spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed, and lovey crisp white sheets. There’s everything you could possibly need, including a fridge and a safe. My only issue was the food and drink. I simply didn’t find it to be the same standard as other Melia’s on my trip. The pool is phenomenal. Really big and I assume heated, as it was a nice temperature. The pool loungers were also really comfy. The grounds are magnificent and maintained to a very high standard. As always, their lovely staff were brilliant from start to finish, but for me their food and beverages let them down a little. It’s a 5 star resort with 3 star food. I suspect I was just unfortunate with the noisy event, and I’d happily return and recommend.

High environmental awareness. Good breakfast with great variety and excellent service. Good bar and à la carte menu. The SPA department is professional and has a good range of treatments. All staff were always happy and treated us well. They were very keen that we would enjoy ourselves at the hotel. Responsive if we had any concerns/wishes. A well-kept and forward-thinking hotel . A special thank you to Trang, Phuong and Quach!

The room walls were very thin that I can hear all the noise from outside - people walking the corridors, people outside the gardens, that it woke me up early morning as I can hear people chatting in the garden areas. The room was musty when I entered - I wish they prepped the room before guests enter so we don't feel and smell the old dust. Breakfast lacked international options and the staff keep speaking to me in Vietnamese despite them knowing I am not Vietnamese.

We needed to organise a bus to get to Ninh Binh and the staff member Nguyen Phuong went out of her way organising everything for us and even turned up at where we had to meet the bus to ensure we got away alright. The Melia is very lucky to have her on staff. Also the buffet breakfast was the best I have ever seen. So much choice of food and everything so beautifully presented. Everything was perfect

• Julia (8/5): Great hotel,disappointing location - Facilities, the pool, tennis court, and gym very well equipped the spa staff were great , staff generally very helpful, the weather was not great so it was good to have these activities,The room was spacious and bed was very comfortable.As hotel was quiet except for a corporate group who stayed one night it was very relaxing. The hotel was almost empty, so food and beverage choices were limited,and the atmosphere at dinner was lacking. They did make some extra vegetarian dishes as I am vegetarian, and there were very limited options on the menu. The location is not great, the beach not suitable for swimming due to a sandbank, and a lot of rubbish, which the staff said they try to deal with, but more effort is needed. There is not very much around in the way of quality restaurants, and at this time of year, the few restaurants in the area did not seem to be open.There seems to be a lot of development in the area with new roads and infrastructure being put in. They are building a Vinwonders park next door, which will enhance or detract depending on whether you like theme parks. We took a day trip to a local waterfall, which was beautiful but sadly, also plagued with rubbish left by visitors.We liked the hotel and the staff were great but we would probably not go back to this particular area as there are many more beautiful parts of Vietnam.

• Jakub (7/5): Vinpearl in the middle of nowhere - As in every Vinpearl you will get a baroque style room with standard equipment. I did enjoy their high quality breakfasts - always wide choices and super tasty. Lobby, bar, garden, swimming pool - everything is at its highest level. It has a lot of personnel, so everything is permanently cleaned, watered, etc. They do care about premises. When in Vietnam, I always tend to choose Vinpearl where available, since they are known for their high standard. However, this one is probably the worst of Vinpearls I have been to: staff hardly speaks English, check in process was a mess, very loud hall music, which made it hard to fall asleep. Forget about swimming in the sea: they say there is a beach, but it is divided from the sea by a dirty river, so you can only watch it. And the worst thing is hotel's location - the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. If you leave the hotel area, you will find yourself in a bushy desert without any groceries etc. Just a few garage-style places to eat and that's it. We were literally the only human beings in the street. I will try another place next time.

• Christopher (9/5): Amazing Place! - Positives - Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, including the driver who went above and beyond to take us to my wife's grandmother 90 minutes away deep in the countryside - Amazing location on a ruggedly beautiful beach, just 20-25 minutes from the airport and Vinh - Beautiful view from the room, which was also a great size and value - Very clean and comfortable - Top quality breakfast buffet! Negatives - The infrastructure of the place could use an upgrade. The wiring in the rooms seems very shoddily done, for example...we had to leave the bathroom light on for the duration of our stay because it wouldn't turn back on if we turned it off, and there were similar issues with a couple other lights. The toilet occasionally decided not to flush as well, but this always resolved itself.

There is also playground for my boy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The paper they used inside the wall (instead of pain) detached from the wall. I think they finished it in bad quality and didn't repair it. There is a smart tv in the room with wifi connection. However wifi connection is so bad that I couldn't watch youtube. The hotel is very close to the sea but that sea is by a river mouth so the water is dirty. It does not feel you are by the sea.
