- Jeff (8/5): - So overall the location and room was quite good. However, if I had to pick one area for improvement, it would have to be staffing, which was basically nonexistent. They don’t do checkin until 4:00 pm, which I was fine with, but there is no one on the property until that time. I arrived about five hours before that time, and it very difficult to get someone in so that I could at least store my bag until checkin. Also, if you had any questions about the area or what to do in town, you were basically on your own.

- Agnetta (1/5): SCAM, BAD, UNSAFE, DO NOT BOOK IF YOU CAN'T READ CHINESE - BAD SITUATION - ONLY IF YOU READ CHINESE 1. There is no one at the hostel. No contact information other than booking.com and no way to contact the hostel directly. A friend booked and arrived a day earlier. She tried to check in, code sent to email was dud and no way to get into the hostel. She called the phone number provided and was then given a code. When asked why there was no code sent, the answer was "WE DO NOT SEND TO INTERNATIONAL NUMBERS." If your clientele is going to include international travellers, SEND INSTRUCTIONS TO INTERNATIONAL NUMBERS, NOT SAVE $1. This is a male staff, note for point 3 2. They pre-charge you and give you NO INFORMATION, until the day you arrive. We were due to check in Friday afternoon, and we were pre-charged the amount a month prior. The morning the day of, we receive a booking.com message which reads ," IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND CHINESE, WE SUGGEST YOU CHOOSE ANOTHER PROPERTY FOR YOUR STAY." This was NOT COMMUNICATED to us, and it is too late to refund as it was the day of. 3. They do not clean rooms, sign says, please leave the clean room sign outside the door before 2pm. They tried to enter the room at 11am, we left at 12pm, and room was not cleaned. Information to call for help was located INSIDE 4. They will call to scold you. Friend who stayed the night before ended up leaving as there were only stairs. Before she left, she did bump into 1 staff member, a female. She knew we were coming in and were going to struggle with checking in as she did, so she asked for our room information from the female staff member. We thankfully had an easy check in as she had saved us the trouble. The following day, the male staff from point 1 called my friend's number to scold her and ask why we were able to check in *AS HE DID NOT SEND US A CODE*. They deliberately CHOOSE TO PUT GUESTS AT RISK. When we came back on Saturday evening, we found another 2 stranded guests who couldn't check in.
