Guest Reviews
- Jan (7/5): -
- David (8/5): Overall it was a very satisfactory one night stay for my pet dog and myself. - The location suited me as it was quiet and not very far off the main highway. I couldn't connect to the motel guest wi-fi.
- Tavita (1/5): -
- Eric (7/5): Nice and quiet. - Not able to connect to wifi. No reception on phone.
- Dena (10/5): -
- Colin (9/5): - It was a great location for my journey down the highway.
- Donald (9/5): -
- Iwilltellyou (10/5): THE place to stay - This is a pet friendly motel and I ask for room 1 and this was my 7th stay and although the room has been used by pet owners there is NO pet odours nor signs that pets have been in the room. There is nothing not to like about this motel. It offers everything a tired traveller needs.
- Victor (8/5): Quite comfortable - Nice and quiet,
It was roomy
Easy check in The light shone through the door.
- Paramjeet (10/5): -
- Geoff (6/5): Probably would not return. - The room was quite comfortable, very clean but the kitchenette also served as the bathroom sink. Everything was fine however as elderly people who wake at all hours of the night, the internet was ultra important to us and there was absolutely no contact. We amazingly, were also unable to use 5 G in the room, so we spent a night mostly awake with no internet which was a new experience. The nightly/daily rate was very cheap and I believe the owners could increase it but they certainly need to upgrade the internet facilities. The lack of internet as already noted but no other dramas.
- Anne-Marie L (7/5): Nice cozy place to stay - location to family, quiet, could have our dog with us. nothing
- Gail (8/5): - Staff were very helpful and friendly. One room did smell a little musty- might’ve been from loads of rain.
- Michael (1/5): Do not stay here. Owner rude. Wasn’t allowed to stay unless I paid extra 125Aud direct to her. - Nothing I had changed the booking from 1 room to 2 within the free amendment period. Book.com charged correct amount. Owner wouldn’t let me stay unless I paid for cancelled room. Extra 125AUD. Even though she has received the amendment just hadn’t read her emails.
- Iwilltellyou (10/5): -
- David (1/5): Misleading - Wasn't upfront with what extra cost for pets were, then charged excessive amount.
Additional charge made after stay with no explanation, messaged several times to clarify but no reply.
- Lukawski (4/5): If I wasn’t so tired from travel I would not have been able to sleep - Not a lot Glass panel in door illuminated by outside light all night. Aircon without remote - couldn’t reach power to switch on. Got hit up for an extra $5 because Booking.com do their own thing apparently.
- Chantelle (7/5): Good for the price. - It was good for the price. As a woman travelling alone I would have loved to feel more secure with a stronger lock on the door.
- Bronwyn (8/5): Just what we needed for the night. - Clean and comfortable and conveniently located for road trip to Brisbane. We had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
- Ruth (6/5): -
- Iwilltellyou (10/5): -
- Karen (8/5): - Good clean property, comfortable and very easy to deal with. Good value Clean and comfortable
- Wilhelmena (9/5): Appreciated a pet friendly and clean comfortable room. - Pet friendly, clean and affordable stay to rest All good
- CHRIS (10/5): - Absolutely spotless
- Walker (7/5): - The room was fine and confortable for a overnight stay. Poor internet, but it was my fault for not checking before we booked.
Proberly just have a look at your shower hot water setup as it takes ages for the hot water to come through and being on
tank water its not ideal.
- Cheryl (8/5): -
- Brenden (1/5): -
- Sutapa (4/5): - Bad experience with power outage and no plan B for that situation
- Juliet (6/5): Clean and comfortable stop at convenient and remote stop - Clean, comfy bed, good tv.
Microwave in room No fly screen so couldn't have windows open, aircon fixed and too cold so ended up too stuffy.
Wifi didn't reach our room.
No mirror over sink which wasn't in bathroom, bit odd set up. Our room not dog friendly though advertised as such
- Joanne (8/5): Surprise hidden gem - Was quite surprised as just off the highway. It was pet friendly
- Tsang (8/5): -
- Travas (10/5): -
- Carmen (4/5): Very disappointed. Such is life and maybe the power was from some other cause??? - Easy access for a sleep while travelling. Staff were helpful in providing a mattress since we didn’t get the room with a bunk that we had paid for. Apparently the price we paid was too cheap!! Power failed. No aircon. Managers had to enter room a couple of times. Generator used and we could only use basic power. Generator kept cutting in and out therefore so did the fan and outside lights. We left by 10pm with only an hour or so of sleep. Probably better to stay on non peak season.
- Maria (10/5): Perfect place to spend the night - The hotel was very comfortable and clean.
Perfect location to stay overnight and continue the journey.
It’s just like in the photos.
Very handy.
I would definitely stay again. The only downside was that there was no shampoo or conditioner, but that’s all.
- Lynne (8/5): Short stay while travelling north - Large room with limited facilities
Location was convenient Room had toaster and kettle but no plates or cutlery
- Campbell (10/5): -
- Jane (6/5): - Beds were comfortable
Cutlery and crockery were sufficient Sleep was minimal due to:
- Proximity to highway meant traffic noise, especially trucks, was HECTIC!
- Carport lights were on all night and the decorative glass in the room door meant it was almost like daylight in our room all night.
- No aircon remote provided (strict instructions to switch aircon on at wall switch only) so unable to adjust the temp, which was needed during Qld summer heat.
- Sharon (8/5): -
- Ross (8/5): - Large room ..handy location
- David (8/5): -
- Iwilltellyou (9/5): Lovely place of rest. - Pet friendly.
Clean and comfortable.
- Paramjeet (10/5): nice & quite motel corner of highway for long drive travellers. - nice & quiet place for night stay in remote area
- Greg (1/5): Never stay at this place. - Nothing The manager was abusive and should not be dealing with the public
- Kirsty (7/5): -
- Ronda (8/5): - We were in a body truck and there was ample parking.
- wendy (9/5): -
- Robyn (7/5): Relaxing overnight stop - Good location. We had a family room with our grandkids, it met our requirements. We were aware there were limited food options in the area, so we self catered. There were very limited plates and cutlery available. A barbecue was listed on the website, but this was out of commission, luckily I enquired about this before we arrived.
- Astrid (8/5): - It was fine for a night, the room was spacious and everything was very clean. Even though it was right beside the highway it wasn't noisy... that said, the ventilator drowned out any other noise. What was bothering us a bit was the light outside the room. It shone through the bit of glass in the door to the room.
- Sean (9/5): -
- Louisa (5/5): Basic clean abd tidy accomodation - Very basic accomodation but clean and tidy
- Jeremiah (2/5): Last resort motel - Allows pets Wanted cc number after booking. Made no mention she was going to charge 30 bucks for pets only that she needed it for the booking. When I questioned the charge, her response was it was an extra cleaning fee because of so much fur. Very scammy.I wouldn't have had an issue with the charge if she had just said there was going to be one. Her way of going about it amounts to theft. Rooms are old, which is fine, but not worth the price. They don't leave the aircon remote, so your options are either keep it on and freeze or keep it off and die from heat., dont want you to flush the toilets, wifi barely works. Only stay here if you have to as a last resort.
- Simone (9/5): - Pet friendly
- Craig (7/5): - Dog friendly Very basic
- Zak (10/5): Convient and comfy - Could ask for a better location off the side of the road and great for fuel to start off the next trip the following day. The beds were super comfy and the host was very generous and kind with it being our honeymoon
- Mandy (5/5): - Convenient only, with hot shower and clean sheets. It is very isolated and far from anywhere. But fine for a nights stay to break the long road trip. Looking a bit run down and needing a bit of maintenance.
- Parveen (9/5): -
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Greg (8/5): It met expectations - A reading light would be nice.
- Dan (8/5): -
- Rhys (10/5): -
- Matthew (8/5): Half way stop over from Cairns to Brizzy. Comfy and fairly quiet - Close to the Highway Wifi didn’t work
- Mariedith (10/5): - The property is very good and clean and welcoming to pets
- DONNA (7/5): - Location, clean, easy access and depart Mains water would have been nice, but lack of was understandable
- Linda (8/5): Happy traveller - The unit was clean and comfortable, and the bed was comfortable, and outside was quiet. I had trouble following the instructions for starting the microwave.
- Turner (8/5): A good stay for an overnight stop - Nice large room A lot of mozzies made sitting outside not an option
- maryann (9/5): Clean and comfy at a bargain price. - A lovely room, spacious and clean and very good value for the price. It was all good.
- Iman (7/5): -
- Bruce (7/5): Turn off the light - Great value for money.a Light being on all night in the undercover car park area. Kept us awake
- Ruth (8/5): Excellent value for money for an overnight stay, slept really well! - The manager/owner was great, there was a mix up with the booking and we arrived late but she came out to meet us and showed us through. Good service.
- Jodie (6/5): - Great location for a highway stopover to break up a long trip, great value for money, great hosts, hot showers & clean. The lighting along the front of the rooms shone through the front door & windows which personally for me means I didn’t sleep a wink. Blackout blinds are needed badly, plus the doors with frosted glass panels are not a good idea. Sleep is a crucial part of my stay which I didn’t get but all other parts of the stay was lovely, please fix this issue
- Charwend (7/5): Nice little place for an overnight stay. - Lovely lady runs the place and very helpful with anything you were missing or needed extra. NIce and quite set back from main road. Slept well. Will look at again when travelling. A little dated and in need of some updates, but well looked after.
- Andrea (9/5): Motel was great, area not so much - Clean tidy had everything I needed Not much in area for meals
- Alan (9/5): - Incredible location great room and ameneties, very friendly manageress, with a United petrol station just across the road for cheap fuel, but for me you can't beat this country location, if you are looking for a place between Ayr and Rockhampton, you won't find better and great prices too under $100 Well you cant blame the motel for the fact that Telstra reception was weak for my mobile. The lack of wifi reception in the room is a bummer, but....wait they are getting Starlink, once they are online with that it 5 stars all the way from me. However I managed to get two bars of Telstra reception in one specefic place in my room and thethered my phone to my laptopatched Disney Plus, so it worked out. I love this motel, when Starlink gets installed it will be heaven on a stick.
- geoffrey (4/5): -
- Alan (8/5): peaceful - great country location across the road from a good petrol station No wifi available
- Hooker (10/5): An enjoyable break in our journey north, woke refreshed ready to tackled the next step in our journey - Very surprised, one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in. Larger than most, well set out, lots of power points, quiet set back from the highway, plenty of parking Friendly proprietor, excellent comfortable room
- Luis (3/5): -
- Kathy (8/5): -
- Linda (7/5): -
- Tracy (6/5): Great off highway location clean tidy and comfy. - Great location just off the highway. The air/heat unit sounded like a plane landing. Also the wifi does not work in Room 4. Which we did not understand prior to booking.
- John (9/5): Superb - Didn’t have breakfast. Location was perfect. Nothing to dislike
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (10/5): - The whole experience was great 😃😃👍👍
- Lynn (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything
- Terri (10/5): Fit for purpose and value for money. Will stay again - It was great for an overnight stay after a long day driving, well placed between Brisbane and Townsville
- Trevor (8/5): Very good -
- Bradley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (6/5): Easy access off highway for cheap overnight stay - Convenient motel right off the highway
Ok for a night stay
It’s not the Hilton but cheap accommodation for a night while travelling through
Easy check in
Had a fridge, TV and cutlery No food options near by so make sure you have at least bread to make some toast
Bed hard as a rock
Clean but could do with a cob web
- Ashley (6/5): Pleasant -
- Carmela Josephine (8/5): - This motel was good for a sleep. Could have been a bit cleaner as had webs behind beds. They need a cafe or restaurant for food
- John (9/5): Superb - Very affordable for 1 night travelling through, very clean. Maybe offer wifi, as the area has limited 4g/5g
- Thuy (7/5): Good - The Motel is located on the highway but not too much noisy at all. The room is a large and comfortable bed and has everything we need for night. Will stay again if we pass by. The fan and air-conditioning are a bit noisy when it use.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (9/5): Would definitely stay again if need accommodation in this area. - Very comfortable beds and clean crisp linen. Nothing
- Hampton (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): - Staff friendly great value and location suited us
- Roslyn (10/5): Exceptional - Julie, the owner greeted us personally, despite being a late check-in on a dark, windy and rainy night. Had THE BEST SLEEP, bed was marvellous!. My kelpie x ridgeback was made welcome, too and fussed over again in the morning. Facilities great, sandstone walls so couldn't hear neighbours , peaceful and cosy. Lovely HOT SHOWER, GREAT PRESSURE. will stay again
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional - Convenient
