Guest Reviews
- James (2/5): Cockroaches - Looked OK in the pictures. Checked in and it was filthy. Then as we sat down, the cockroaches crawled out. We didn't stay. The owner wanted to move us to another room. We got our money back and stayed somewhere else.
- Diane (2/5): - He showed us three rooms and each one smelled and very dirty! Bugs I. There!
- Lisa (2/5): - Welcoming staff and friendly. Deferred maintenance and uncleanliness everywhere.
- Sam (2/5): - Never actually was able to check in light were on doors were locked waste on time and money
- Marlea A (2/5): - Bedbugs!!! Third world conditions, absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed( I lived in Lake Charles right after hurricane Rita hit). Lake Land Inn is terrible. When I woke, I saw black spots on the sheets and when smashed them, they were full of blood. I went out and bought a bedbug bomb and set it off, leaving my things that I wore or that were on that bed. I came back later and put everything in a bag so I could wash everything later Eeww. I had reserved 3 nights but left after the first(obviously).
I am going to report this place to their health department.
The person that I had to get the key from was across the highway working at a gas station and I could only contact him by leaving my room and walking over there. TV worked but no signal remote would not work with TV. Cabinet that had Frig and TV on top, the door was falling off, missing a hinge.
It was worst than what I would expect in a slum.
- Emily (2/5): - gross
- Bill (2/5): - After driving an hour to get there because everywhere else was sold out, there was nobody in the office to check us in. The office was open but no one was there. For almost an hour we waited and called the office but no answer. Just as we were leaving to try and find somewhere else a man finally pulls up in his car and stops us. My husband goes in to get us checked in and the man tries to charge him $20 more than what I reserved the room for (I have confirmation number and email confirmation). My husband tells him no so the man charges him a rounded up amount that was not the amount on my confirmation. Whatever, we’re tired and it’s late so we just want to get in our room. We should have just left. We know that you get what you pay for because we’ve stayed in many motels on our trips but this was the worst. There was long black hair in the bed - I have short blonde. There was makeup on the pillow case and hair on the towels. And then on the way home my husband was itching like crazy and we noticed that he had bites on his body. He’s still recovering and we have no idea what it was. Maybe we just got a bad room but I don’t recommend this motel and will not stay here again.
- Kevin (8/5): - They have a cookout area, a nice place to enjoy being outside and relax. The rooms could use at least one more electrical outlet. Makes it difficult to run microwave or charge phone. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I'm sure I'll call on them again
- Kristi (2/5): - Very outdated very dark room. Bathroom shower not clean. Cops were on site and when asked if it was safe to stay here he said he would not. Over priced for how outdated the facility was. Looks are deceiving!
- Sara (4/5): - .
- Brad (2/5): - I used Orbitz to reserve a room at this hotel. When I showed up to check into the hotel the owner said there was no vacancy. The owner said he would not charge me for the room. My wife and I left. The property did charge me for the room. This is dishonest behavior. I would not recommend this property.
- Floyd (2/5): - run like the wind do not stay here
- Tonya (2/5): - The room was filthy. Sheets were disgusting. Hair all over in bathroom sink. Towels and washcloths were stained and looked dirty. The guy went to the room first with a can of febreeze and sprayed just about the whole bottle in there. Then he was putting his hands on my son making us very uncomfortable. We ended up not staying and got money back
- Maria Rowena R (10/5): Good stay - Ow we was very friendly and helpful.
- Laura (2/5): - The person at the “front desk” was very creepy & yelled at me. This is a very unsafe place to stay. He was also peering out the window at us when we left with his face pressed to the window.
- Shannon (2/5): - Upon arrival there were yellow stains all over the sheets and what looked like dirty paw prints. The blankets on both beds were mismatched. I had like a wool one and she had a throw. She bought her another blanket for the second night. The shower curtain fell this morning, the towels were dirty, the vanity cabinet was in pieces. This morning leaving there was a roach on the table... next time I'll read the reviews instead of going off the pictures.
- Osvaldo (10/5): - I think the property needs some maintenance.
- Lauren (10/5): - Staff is really nice and respectful
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very Disappointing - Room smelled like smoke. TV did not work. Shower was not clean. Lighting was very poor--one ceiling light and one bedside lamp. Air conditioner and heater were both wall mounted units--old, and with all piping exposed. The small table rocked badly and was unsafe for beverages. You get the idea.
- Melanie (2/5): Please stay somewhere else - We had to leave the hotel after 5 minutes because of the poor cleanliness and disgusting smell. We lost our money but could not stay in a place with hairs on the towels, stains all over the bathroom and shower curtains, and a cigarette smell.
- Nathan (2/5): - Do not stay here.
- Jessica (2/5): - Unclean - did not look like what was advertised. People loitering outside smoking making comments to guests. Charged twice.
- Ann (4/5): - Our bathroom was dirty (I wiped down the sink) with dirt and mysterious black stuff on the floor. The lighting was very dim. Lots of people staying for extended periods, so it felt like an apartment complex with people coming and going and lots of loud conversations. People were friendly, however. Bathroom vent brought in smoke from neighboring room.
- Luther (4/5): - A little questionable at checkin because the guy at the front desk didn’t even look up our reservation, but we got a room and it was alright. Beds were comfortable, the cords plugging in the TV and air conditioner were a little crazy, the place felt empty, but we got s good nights sleep.
- Brenda (2/5): - We canceled our reservation. The clerk came out in a under wear tank top and went and put on a shirt. Didn’t speak great english. The room he showed us was dirty, smelly, run down, a drawer was missing on the shelving unit. People smoking outside open room doors. Someone trying to jump a car in front of our room.
- Kimberly (2/5): - Never got to stay. Booked through Expedia, called the motel to confirm and the guy that answered yelled at me and told me he had no rooms available and to get my money back through Expedia. Expedia could do nothing for me even though I bought the insurance. I now have a double charge from this place on my credit card and I never even stayed there!
- Jeremy (2/5): - I NEVER leave reviews but felt this one is necessary.
We went on a multi-family vacation with 6 adults and 7 children and just needed a place to lay our heads for one night on our travels. Thought for the price it was worth it. Upon our arrival we noticed a bunch of drugged out, drunk people sitting outside. When we went to check in he didn’t have our reservation from Expedia (which had made 3 months in advance) and said cash only. We are like whatever, we need a place to stay because everything else in the area was booked and had 7 kids that were tired. We got into our rooms and the sheets were stained, their was no Wifi, the one outlet that in the room had an outlet bar plugged into it for more outlets, the TV didn’t work and the rooms smelled. The one reason we booked this was because of the photos online. Well, boy were we duped. The photos are of the place that are on Expedia are from when it was probably a reputable motel. But not now. Then to make it even worse, I was checking my credit card to see all the charges we had made while on vacation and found the clown charged my credit card again for two of the 3 rooms we had paid cash for.
I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy and I think Expedia should discontinue any association with this property.
I will own that I did not read the reviews when booking because I was pressed to book a place to stay because we needed one. Not an excuse. I will always going forward and recommend you do too.
- Ben (2/5): - Im here trying to check in. Says it's open, but no one is here to check me in. I waited over 20 minutes. I even called. The phone rang while i was in the lobby no one around. What a dump
- Lisa (2/5): Infested with bed bugs - The host was extremely rude. We booked two rooms, and when we arrived, only one room was available. They had given away our room. The host brushed this mistake off and told us that the second room would not be available until the following day. There was no apology or explanation for what happened.
We checked into the single room and quickly discovered that this hotel was infested with bed bugs. I saw them crawling on all the furniture as soon as we entered the room. The pillows were stained yellow and the fleece blanket was crusty. The room smelled like smoke even though we booked a nonsmoking room.
We immediately returned the key and left the hotel. We had to Uber back to Muskegon to find last minute accommodations.
Despite all these issues, the host refused to refund us for the two rooms. I had to seek a charge back through my bank.
This is by far the worst motel I have ever stayed at. I do not recommend anyone staying here.
- Fern (2/5): - Had a reservation with them and they wouldn’t let me stay didn’t speak English. Kicked us out in the street in the middle of the night to find a different place to stay. Cost me 160 for Uber to next hotel. I complained about them to Expedia the next day. Hopefully they will get no more business
- Christian (2/5): - Nothing Positive. Everything was bad.
- Marta (2/5): Beware of this motel - Do not book a room at this place! Made a reservation at hotels.com and when we arrived at the motel, the attendant had no more vacancies. He attempted to push us off to another location without offering a refund.
- Anthony (2/5): - I went through Expedia and when I got to motel and gave my credit card prior to use and I was charged each day what I was supposed to pay for two days. Also, I asked for receipt at the end of my stay I was declined by the manager. I automatically thought that was shady.
- KyLee (8/5): - Wanted a cheap option because we were only resting our heads for a few hours. Paid $60 with fees. Room was clean enough, updated enough, check in was fast enough. Nothing too special and nothing to complain about. Suited our needs.
- Brian (4/5): - For $80 a night I would have expected cleaner facilities and a more comfortable bed. The place is extremely run down and shouldn’t even be offered on Expedia.
- Jack (2/5): My worst ever. - First the attendant did not know I had a reservation as he asked how many beds and how many nights.
When entering the room, I realized how bad of a choice I had made. Immediately smelled of smoke in a smoke free room.
Horrible condition from walls to furniture.
The attendant turned on the TV, but that was the last time I could use it. The remote worked to change channels but would not shut it off. Using a side button, I turned it off. Never got it to work again.
No clock and a broken hanging handle on the dresser.
The air conditioner filters were packed with dust and dirt, and it barely blew air.
Bathroom door would not close completely without my body weight pushing it.
The mirror on the bathroom wall was falling off. No plug for the sink drain. Tile on wall of shower looked black with mold.
No outlet in the bathroom for our hairdryer. Had to use an extension cord from an outlet outside the door.
Only a half roll of toilet paper in the room.
At $133 a night I expect a clean room that operates as it should.
Retired now for 8 years and have traveled a lot using low priced hotels such as Motel 6 and Red Roof Inn. Never experienced anything as bad as this.
Our booking was nonrefundable. We spent the night, but we were not going to spend the 2nd night there.
Next morning, I dropped off the key and only told the same guy (not able to speak understandable English) the room smelled horribly of smoke. Can't stay.
He replied "OK, bye!"
- Thomas (2/5): Does dried blood turn you away? - First, the manager said they didn't have a reservation and started to hagel with me. Unbelieveable. The room was dirty and the sheets and pillow case had dried blook on them. I would never stay here again. Just horrible.
- Tristen (2/5): - Absolutely disgusting mildew and roaches. Didn’t even check in after being in the lobby and around the property.
- Ronald (2/5): Dump - The place is a dump. Lights in the room don't work. Looks like they never ever clean the place. Manager walks around with he's shirt off. The place needs to be rip down. Or a complete redo. 160 per night. Is a joke. I hope it burns down.
- Kye (2/5): - Guy is extremely mean and nasty and i paid for a room and i got completely ripped off and now i cant get a refund
- Amanda (2/5): - No one at the desk, had to yell multi times to get anyone. Room had exposed wires, bathroom was discussing. Asked for a refund because we were not staying, got the run around and took over a hour till he agreed. Still waiting for the refund to post. It has been a week.
- joesph (4/5): - Found cockroaches and cobwebs
- debra (2/5): - My reservation wasn't there and we had to stand around and wait then they took someone else while we were waiting for them to check us in. Had bugs in the room.
- Charles (2/5): Worst hotel ever - Absolutely god-awful. The room was filthy and had various bugs in it. The sheets and towels were dirty and had hair in them. People loitering outside the rooms, obviously under the influence and offering drugs for sale. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!
- Chelsey (4/5): - Upon arriving at Lake Land Inn, there was trash all about and a group of people smoking and sitting on cars. The door to reception was open and a vehicle was parked directly in front of it. My husband and I went in and were told that we were at the wrong place because of the size of bed we booked. The man had us follow him to a different hotel the manager owned that was behind a gas station (Rodeway). The receptionist there was confused and asked us to pay for a room there and the person (I think was the manager?) kept correcting her. We had already paid for the room through Expedia. The place reeked of marijuana. When we re-parked our vehicle I found lots of trash including used tampon applicators, sharp objects, and narcan spray. The actual room was nice enough, although both the sink and bathtub faucet leaked constantly. It was very jarring and somewhat intimidating experience. We will NOT be staying here again.
- Ye (2/5): - room and bathroom look dirty, bugs in the room
- Ray (4/5): We Have No Reservations for You! - When we arrived the Hotel Owner who doesn't speak very good English did not have our Booking from Hotels.com I showed him our itinerary but he had nothing. He was able to get us 2 Rooms but not what we had booked. Overall I will not be using Hotels.com again. The Owner of Lake Land Inn was very nice but the Rooms need a little work. They were Clean and no Bugs.
- Judy (6/5): - Property is old, but clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): Awful - Spiders crawling on the beds. Cigarette burns on the blankets. Tv not working. Tiles missing in the bathroom. Lawn chair out front for seating.
- Mary (2/5): Poor - Bathroom in poor condition, no hand rail, bathroom didn’t look clean, TV needed assistance to turn on. Price very high for this quality of room
- Jon (2/5): Dirty underwear - A pair of dirty underwear was found behind the bathroom door. Other rooms were open but not offered to us when we complained. Owner picked up the underwear with his bare hands and said, "All clean." I don't think so. He did apologize, however.
- Kimberly (6/5): Desperately needs work. - We stayed in number 10. The beds looked clean but they were rock hard. A moth flew out from under a pillow. It looks like housekeeping did an okay job but there was a giant ant in the bathtub. The toilet is not attached to the floor. The owners were nice but the hotel really needs to updated and fixed. We ended up lysoling the room. We didnt use the blankets and slept on top of the sheets. Its expensive for what you get too. We paid 10 bucks more at our next hotel and got a pool, beautiful room, a rating of 8 out of 10, a complete hot meal breakfast and a restaurant even attached to the hotel. Plus on a saturday! This is one of those rooms that should only be 40 bucks at most. But it was the only cheapest room in the area within 30 miles of the town we needed to go to. We ended up driving an hour out of our way just for this cheapish room. Rates are unbelievable out on the west coast of michigan.
- justin (2/5): - DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!!! ORBITZ PLEASE REMOVE THIS PROPERTY FROM YOUR LIST!
We were faced with a very unsafe unprofessional experience at this location. We arrived at 5:30 pm on our reservation date. My wife and I were in town visiting friends and just need a within walking distance place to sleep. We with reservations due to horrible reviews. booked the Lake Land INN. We walked into the Motel lobby, well if you can even call it that. This was a room on the back of what looked like someone's personal residence. I assume the owners? The smell of stale food and burnt toast overpowered your senses. We waited about 5 min then rang the provided bell. We could hear silverware clanking in what seemed to be the owner's kitchen so we waited about ten more minutes and then rang the bell again. Nothing still. So I called the office number and the phone rang. Then an old lady with let's say 2 teeth pops up and begins to yell while spitting all over my wife in a foreign language. We quickly left and on our way out noticed a few guys hanging outside their room. I asked them how you check in? The response was you don't with the lady in the office you have to check in with her husband and who knows when he will be back. We left and called Orbitz and after 2 hours on the phone our reservation was moved to another location. So overall do not book this location and I hope Orbitz trains employees a bit better and become more hospitible after all its the hospitality industry.
- Benjamin (4/5): - The pics made the place look way nicer than what it was. Smelled weird and had a dirty shower. Outlets in the room in inconvenient locations. Tv super small.
- Robert (2/5): - When i went to check in i was told no rooms were available. I even called in the morning to confirm the reservation. No other rooms available in the area.
- Ashley (2/5): - When I showed up in the evening to check in I was told there was no more room. Even though my reservation was printed out and right in front of the clerk, he promptly took a pencil and x’d out and scribbled all over the paper and told me there was no more room. How juvenile. I was then charged for my stay the next day. When I called the hotel they told me I shouldn’t have booked it through a third-party and then hung up on me. TERRIBLE. DO NOT STAY.
- Verified traveler (2/5): 10/10 Would NOT recommend - Made a reservation on this site 2 days before my trip because it said 1 room left act now. I showed up on the nightbof my reservation around 815 and the front desk guy told me that resrrvations dont matter and his rooms are firat come first serve. Drove 3.5 hours down to the nearby amusement park and just wanted somewhere to lay our heads forbthe night before maikng our drive home. We spent an hour looking for additional hotels to stay at and all were booked. We ended up driving 3.5 hours back home. Also was told that they werent going to charge for our room since we didnt get a room andbthey charged us anyway! Owner spoke very broken english and had a hard time understanding us. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
- Syamkumar (2/5): - The rooms were not clean, the front desk guy came with us opened the room, then sprayed the room freshner in front of us. There was a lot of ant right in front of room and my two year old sat on them and ant was there all over her foot. I was double charged, one through expedia and again through front desk. Now I am having a hard time to explain this issue and get a refund of the additional amount I paid. Front desk guy doesnt speak good English and didnt understand what I was telling him. Rooms were not clean and we checked out very early in the morning around 7 AM itself. If you can find other options, please dont spend time looking into this one. Not worth it, I still have to resolve the payment issues!!
- Jo (2/5): Hotels.com should remove listing - The owner spoke very broken English and was hard to understand. The rooms (we had 2) were in need of new linens and paint. The rooms looked nothing like the picture on Hotels.com. The owner had NO computer and I had to show him my reservation so he would know how much to charge! He escorted us to our rooms and sprayed the room with fly spray as we entered. The towels appeared to have not been laundered.
- TAMMY (2/5): - I didn't like anything about this property. Dirty, poor remodel, hard bed, stained sheets, heater was running the whole stay. No way to turn off. Owner doesn't communicate well in English. Loiters sitting on sidewalk smoking & drinking playing loud music from a car. Pictures on site don't match the real property. We couldn't use shower due to it was so nasty. This is $39.99 a night hotel at the very most. The town is beautiful right by Lake Michigan.
- debra (2/5): - This is the most disgusting place I have ever put my staff in and suggest all booking agents take them off their sites. I checked in one of my staff and the owner is yelling for no reason. The next day he barged into the person's room (female) to fix the TV and wouldn't leave no matter how many times she asked him to leave. She had to push him out of the door. I am very understanding to people who do not speak English well, but the owners were excruciating. They wouldn't accept cancellations so I had no option for the rest of my staff. I am trying to contact Travelocity management to lodge a formal complaint
- Tony (2/5): - The outside of the building was nice and tidy, however as soon as we opened the door it smelled like old dirty ashtray. The pillows were yellow and stained with whoever's slobber. The sheeets were worn see through, and the bathroom towels looked like someone cleaned up after working on their car. We did a bed bug check and found a cigarette butt between the mattress and sheets. This would have been a little more understandable if it wasn't $130 night.
- James (10/5): Electric Forest Music Festival relief - We wanted a place to stay for a night during the Electric Forest Music Festival and this place delivered. The reviews we read were horrible but we stayed here anyway. Great location, parking right in front of the room, excellent hot shower and we got to check in early. The interior needs a makeover for sure, but we didn't notice any cleanliness issues beyond the obvious cosmetic issues. We went kayaking that was right down the street and saw a concert at the rotary club pavilion, neither of which were on our schedule.
- Robert (2/5): - Did not stay, no vacancies
- Michael (4/5): Not the finest establishment by any means - They claimed no record of my reservation.
Luckily they had a room. The facility was in disrepair. Parking lot all full of potholes. Room was dirty. Dirty from floor to ceiling. Sheets on the bed dirty. Bug’s crawling about the room. Damage to walls and trim. Rotten or broken wood. Holes in the walls and shower had shoddy patches. We only needed a one night stay for our business. We don’t require 5 star accommodations but - this place was a dump. With no record of our reservation they attempted to over charge us. I haggled about price with the counter person who was very difficult to understand speaking practically no English. The television did not work either. It was a bed and a shower and nothing more.
- Catherine (2/5): Lake and Land Inn Whitehall, MI - Dirty towels, bedding, overall entire room.
Locks questionable. Mold in bathroom and whoever brushed teeth in bathroom used blue toothpaste because their spirt was still in the sink. Totally disgusting. Never again.
- David (2/5): - Went to check in, was told owner went to visit family and would be right back. Had to find an alternate Hotel. My card was charged and when I called to question it was told it was "not my problem".
- Amy (2/5): - Absolutely filthy. Stain on a towel, bathtub was atrocious and there was hair everywhere. Toilet filthy, and when we went to check in, nobody was at the desk! Someone said that the guy "left to take care of a family matter". Didn't even leave a note. He was very nice once he got back. I don't expect much from a $70 a night hotel, but I expect cleanliness! I will not be back.
- Ronald (4/5): - Walls paper thin workers making niose at all different times during the evening and night . Floor dirty and cheap towels and bedding with stains
- Lynn (2/5): - amenities (coffee pot, microwave) did not work, TV difficult to operate.
- Isaiah (2/5): - I showed up and everything was locked no one was at the front desk the office was locked and i was not able to use the room. I then called the next day for a refund and they refused
- Verified traveler (4/5): Avoid if you can - Terrible condition of rooms. The listing photos must be pretty old. Paint flaking off, unclean sheets with cuts/holes, dirty flooring, moldy smell, … I could go on and on.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't do it. - It was horrible looked like the owers whole family lived there. Sheets where staind walls were dirty. Table looked like it came from the trash.
- Murray (2/5): - The place was unsanitary. All towels had ground in dirt stains and were unusable. The tub/shower area had was dirty. The outside door could not be properly secured with the dead bolt.
- Kristie (2/5): Poor customer service - I didn't stay at the hotel because when I got there the owner had gone back to his home country and left a guest in charge that didn't know what they were doing or how to get into the computer
- Verified traveler (2/5): NO - Broken window lock and blind, no toilet paper, burnt blanket...
- Kenneth (2/5): - Nothing good to say
- JASON (2/5): - This property was disgusting and gross. There were bugs in the shower and the bedding was dirty. We didn’t not feel safe leaving our personal belongings in the room. There were people sitting outside doing drugs and yelling and swearing all night and early morning. It appears that several people were actually living in this motel. The electrical outlets had cardboard shimmied in behind them and didn’t look too safe. The man working the desk had no idea what our room rate was. The towels were dingy and stainled. This was a very disappointing stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Unprofessional and rude desk clerk.
- Russell Gerard (2/5): - The room was filthy, inundated with flies. No remote to the tv. Antique heating and cooling system. And alot of flies everywhere
- Eric (4/5): Cleansing Ness - Stand up towels and bug on the bed just a lot of stains. And the boss like to yell a lot too
- Tom (2/5): - I had reserved my stay days in advance and the hotel had given up my room to someone else and I was not able to stay. Supposedly my name and info was all there but no rooms were available. Traveling from Wisconsin and not being able to have a place to sleep was extremely stressful and frustrating. It was pathetic. There seemed to be no communication between Expedia and the actual hotel. Rooms were available at time of reservation but then nothing available at time of arrival.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't know how to run a motel - They gave our RESERVED room to someone else. when we arrived there was no vacancy. We ended up sleeping in our vehicle because no vacancy in any other hotels in area. That is bad customer service. These people don't know how to run a motel. I will NEVER go there again or recommend this place to anyone. Stay away from Lake Land Inn in Whitehall, Michigan.
- Alex (2/5): - We ended up not even staying here. We booked a room with a king bed and when we got there the guy told us that they did not keep reservations. He said, "We can't be expected to keep reservations. We are a small business." At the same time we were trying to check in, there was ANOTHER couple having the same, exact problem. They reserved a king bed and it was already given away. We drove 5 hours to get there just to find out he had given away our reservation.
- Tonya (2/5): - Didn’t like nothing about this property it was a mess nasty
- Tonya (2/5): - The hotel had bugs blood on the sheets dirty towels the bath tub and shower was nasty the owner was rude and nasty they say it had a pool but it was covered in dirt the pictures really needs to come down but it’s nothing like it says it is
- Cristina (6/5): - .
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Do not stay here! You’ll regret it. Hairs in bed, makeup on towels in bath, bugs in tub, they would not refund my money, ($179) for 1 night that we did not stay. Employees do not speak English. The parking lot was cleaner, but not by much.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My stay was cut short at check-in when I discovered expedia also gave my room to 25 other people. Thanks, Expedia.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - Hotels.com over booked. After driving more than 3 hours, we were turned away with no room, and no where to go. They knew they were overbooked and when i got there said they were just about to call me. Unbelievable.
- Jessica (2/5): Don’t go here. It absolutely horrible. - It was horrible from check in to check out. Place was filthy, old, outdated - except for wi-fi and cable. Noisy, as windows were so thin you could hear what people were saying while sitting on bench outside the window. That actually is how we figured out why the guy in the room next door was going out to his car all the time and using his remote to open and lock it, he was going out to get drugs to sell the people stopping by to chat on the bench. We would never ever under any circumstances stay there again
- Magen (4/5): Not the best - Would not stay again, rooms seem dirty, our room had a horrible smell, pillows were crap, beds were not comfortable. Only reason we did is because we could not find another option. Not a place I would stay again or take a family. For the price it should have been nicer!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirty and rundown motel.
- LeAnn (2/5): - It was ok
- Kimberly (4/5): Bare bones motel. - The motel is very old and in poor condition. The room was very dirty with stains on the bedding and towels. I had to ask three times for a linen change.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This old place smells and was not clean, especially floor edges in the bathroom. One area of carpet smelled like vomit. This is not what I'd expect for 159 a night (tax and all). It felt like bugs should be expected, but we did not see any. The owner was nice enough and may be doing his best, but I will NEVER stay there again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirty. Beds looked like they had already been slept in. We found bed bugs. Got half of our money back. We did not stay. Sad sad
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This motel is the worst motel I have ever experienced in my life. My wife booked 4 nights there with intention to spend some time at the beach nearby with our two daughters who are 3 and 7 years old. The motel's least problems are the stained towels and lack of any service.
After my wife's first night she came back to the motel to find another family in her room (she had rented room 9). Once she got to the room she found out the motel had rented her room (that she had pre-paid for through Orbitz) to that other family. The owner of the motel came with the excuse that she only left one or two items in the room when she left and the owner thought she had checked out without saying anything. So, he took her items out of the room and rented it out. Then, the owner of the motel tried to say that my wife paid only for one night - wrong as I have the receipt for four nights through Orbitz. Then, he begrudgingly refunded my wife for three nights and told her to find something else. Keep in mind this was all happening at 11 pm at night in the middle of nowhere at the shadiest motel possible and my wife was there alone with y little girls. We should have not only received a full refund for all this insanity but the owners should have compensated us for this insult.
On top of that, it is none of the motel owner's business how much stuff my wife leaves in the room when she goes out and about during the day. My wife had booked the motel for four nights so that she had somewhere to sleep at
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Almost nobody spoke english. My room was not even available when I got there, they did not have the type of room that I had booked in the first place. They offered no refunds, they forced me to attempt to get a refund through orbit, which I'm still currently in the middle of attempting to do. This place was run down, they had random shirtless people moving furniture around between the units, nobody knew how anything worked, it was a horrible experience.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They rented my room out when i had reservations and they still took money out of my accout. Fraud...worst service and business ran ever
