- Shane (7/5): - Great location, park across road is fantastic for children and adults. Breakfast was great. Dinner from the bistro was not enjoyable. The ribs felt like they were boiled to within an inch of their life and lightly covered in BBQ sauce. The taste was terrible.

The ability to have a meal and/or drink on site without having to drive, another big tick of approval. Staff were friendly and courteous. Food was good with generous sized portions. If you're visiting Maryborough, the Carriers Arms is a good place to stay. I recommend it.

- Gerard (5/5): Disappointed. - Not a lot. On arrival we were given a room right next door to the drive-in bottle shop & loading area. We were not advised & only found out off a guest after check-in that the bottle shop would be open till 10PM & loading area working from 6AM. Entering the room there was strong smell (maybe urine) & examination found the bed had been used and linen not changed. We approached office who advised no other room available even if we paid extra. We decided not to stay & went back to office to return key & leave. Eventually another room was found (which we checked for cleanliness). This room was satisfactory but we were not impressed with the state of 1st room or initial response after complaint.

The bistro food was amazing we went twice during our stay. The staff were helpful and kind, overall loved our stay we would come back Nothing, all was amazing

Staff are lovely and helpful, rooms are clean - A great location, quiet accommodation for a restful night sleep. The pool was awesome for an afternoon swim to cool off. Dinner inside was delicious and the margaritas were yummy! Nothing.

- Deniece (3/5): Don’t take the budget room, make sure you upgrade. - That the owner gave us an upgraded room for last night. Due to the answer below. This room was lovely, quiet & comfortable. The room was a budget room which I was not aware of. It was opposite the bottle drive through, near the pub entrance and car park. And had a road next to the wall that the bed is on. I went to the staff straight away when I saw this and asked to pay extra to upgrade. They said that due to booking and paying to booking.com they can’t change anything & this is the room. The forklift starts very early and again late at night moving pallets for the bottleshop near the rooms. Cars continuing to drive through all night. Saturday night the car park was full or yelling, swearing, arguing drunk people. Doors slamming and cars noisily driving off. Waking often due to this. I put the sign on the door to have the room cleaned and new linen on the 3 day and the cleaners did not do it. The shower has mold. Staff was not very helpful and just said cleaners have gone home now, I then asked them to contact the owner. I received a phone call not long after and was given an upgrade to the quiet & much nicer rooms. Which if I was rating I would definitely have given a much higher rating.

- Herden-McMahon (8/5): Lots of places still closed for the Christmas/New year period but, still enough to see and explore. - I liked that if you didn't feel like going out, you could just head to the hotel side of the venue and visit the cafe or restaurant which had a very good variety of foods. It is also very handy to the town centre which is an amazing place to walk around and explore. A real historically portrayed Art Hub. The cleaning supplies used for the rooms was a little over whelming when I first entered.

Pool gate waa locked despite the sign saying was within opening times On one occasion the pool was dirty with tissues or something? But for the most part was kept clean. On one occasion went to the Carriers Arms Bistro, and the Concierge? , was aggressively rude to us because we didn’t notice a sign saying to wait to be seated. We were told we needed to have booked ahead, so when we offered to leave he said he could squeeze us in. Then put us on a remote table despite the whole hour and a half we had dinner the place was 80% empty. On a positive note, the bar staff were extremely friendly and the motel cleaning staff were cheerful and friendly.

- Mark (7/5): We don't go anywhere else when staying in Maryborough. Carriers Arms has everything you need. - We didn't have meals this time but previous times meals were about a 6 out of 10 (we have special needs which can't be fulfilled). The room was quite large and we had no trouble moving around and performing daily tasks. Middle size fridge and plenty of cupboard and bench space with plates, glasses and utensils, all of which are spotlessly clean. Cold water and ice cubes waiting for us when we arrived. The dining chairs are comfortable and not a bit flimsy. The bed is soooo comfortable as are the pillows and there are several to choose from so we always have one which suits us. When we stay here, we no longer bring our own pillows as we used to. Wardrobe and luggage rack both big enough for us. The air con very good. We have stayed in this particular room several times and request it now for it's proximity to the restaurant and gaming room as well as overall comfort. Overall this is a great place to stay. The bathroom is quite big enough but we found it to be not as thoroughly cleaned as we would have done it ourselves. It wasn't dirty at all, just things like residual grout staining and soap scum and old stains in the silicone. The floor tiles haven't been cleaned properly over the years and need a good going over with bleach. The basin and toilet were very clean though. I would like to suggest that management stay in each room at least once a year for a night to see just how good they are from a patrons point of view. They should use the towels, soaps etc as a patron would.

- Kylie (3/5): Worst bed ever, loading dock room noisy and not family friendly! - We decided to stay here for ease of eating dinner at the restaurant after a full day of driving. Our room was in the loading dock area for the bottle shop, we couldn't even park our car when we arrived due to 'customers' parking there to buy their grog. Noisy all of the time, not ideal for a family room at all. No seating outside the room. The bed...worst sleep (actually, no sleep for me) we have had! Sunk into the middle of the bed and were not able to have a side of the bed each. My husband has had neck/shoulder pain continually since we stayed that one night - it is now a week later and he's having to see a specialist!
- Jones (7/5): - Second time staying. It’s great to have the restaurant/bar so close. Bed was really comfortable again. Staff have been extremely friendly both times! There’s no way to block out the light from the bathroom/outside. I had driven all day and needed to drive again the next day. A way to block the light coming in from outside through the bathroom would be amazing.
