• Diego (6/5): - We found that the bathroom at the room we requested hasn’t been cleaned, so they moved us to a different one. The swimming pool hours are a bit inconvenient (closed at 7:00 pm) usually closing time at other hotels is 10:00 pm. Would have been nice to enjoy it, bur not possible with their schedule. Breakfast was very good.
• Rohini (2/5): - The bathroom was clogged and as they were trying to repair, dirty water came out of drain and bathroom into the room. Our room was changed eventually but we lost a lot of valuable time and had to deal with mess in room around our luggage.

• Ronald (10/5): - We booked a 2 bedroom Casita for 3 nights and got a warm welcome from Miguel, Alejandra, Jessie, Danny and Dylan who are very nice, efficient, kind and professional. Our casita is near the pool, lovely, spacious, clean, the linen, towels and bath toiletries are superb but you can hear the loud street traffic. Pool is nice with restrooms and outdoor showers. Lush gardens are fantastic. Ample and safe free parking.Room WiFi is very weak, breakfast is average.

• Shirley (10/5): - We stayed 3 nights at La Foresta Nature Resort. Convenient location to drive to Manuel Antonio (approx 25 minutes), dinner and cocktails at the restaurant was delicious and the staff very attentive. Breakfast was included and ordered off the menu. There were macaws in the morning and monkeys in the nature reserve. Highly recommend staying here
• David (10/5): - The staff was great and the property was very nice. The pool was nice, and we had macaws and other birds flying over. It seemed like every cabin had an iguana outside, which was fun. Our room was close to the highway, but this really didn't bother us. We wish we had stayed longer!
• fredric (2/5): - We lost water supply for half a day. No excuses, backup plan and not even a sorry for inconvenience. WIFI was spotty and electricity was also out for a few hours. Breakfast was bad and extremely slow. The grounds are nice and clean but staff was very unmotivated.

A beautiful garden, big room and bathroom, cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and luxurious toiletries were the highlights of our experience at La Foresta. Housekeeping did a great job as the rooms were spotless. The toiletries were so good that I bought them to bring home. It is a nature resort. Since the property is at the edge of the rainforest and it has more acreage of wilderness behind it, it is excellent choice if you like to see birds and animals in nature. We saw more animals at the property than we did at the Manual Antonio Park. We saw monkeys, macaws, iguanas, butterflies, and several different types of smaller birds at the property. We also hiked in the hiking trails in the woods behind the property. The downside of this location is that you cannot walk to the city. One more thing - if you are sensitive to noise, get a room towards the back of the property; otherwise, you can hear the roaring sound of traffic as the hotel is near a road. At night, noise can be a big issue.

• Maneera (10/5): - Amazing property! Nice spacious rooms. Main bed was very comfortable. Sofa bed mattress was bad (but they usually are bad). Great staff. Very safe and secure. Beautiful grounds with lots of animals and ziplining on property. Food at restaurant was great. Pool was great. They had a New Year's Eve party included with our stay (that we didn't even know about until we got there). Overall an amazing experience!
• Kannan (10/5): - This place is very good and safe! We can also see few animals/birds in this property. Very quite place with a nice breakfast. Could have a better / faster internet...the TV is also small and so we were not able to use the TV! Room is very spacious and nice and clean!

We got to our room and front desk called and said restaurant was going to close early because slow but would stay open if we went to eat right then. They stayed open to accommodate us. The beds are comfortable, each room has a cool air conditioner, and the shower is big and has great water pressure. The pool area is clean and refreshing. The surroundings are beautiful. The property is next to a main roadway with a lot of traffic...there are loud trucks traveling throughout the day and night.

Renaldi, Rebecca and Evaline as well as others who we didn’t get their names went above and beyond in making our stay so wonderful. Also the grounds were immaculate and the rooms were large and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good, but we purchased lunch and dinner and both of those were so good. My favorite part was all the iguanas during the day hanging around and all the geckos at night keeping insects away. If we ever return to Quepos, Costa Rica we would definitely stay at this amazing resort.

There is pool service for drinks & food which was perfect for just relaxing after a day of play. Breakfast was Costa Rican style food with buffet somedays & order on the menu others. There is also a nature trail on the back side of the property where we were able to walk. Saw so many squirrel moneys, birds & other creatures. For dinner there is a restaurant on site but we were also able to walk a short distance to a soda & another restaurant that was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here.

• David (8/5): - As others have mentioned, there is noise from the road and I had wished there wasn’t so much noise from the weed wicker’s and blowers. However, our stay was very nice, the housekeepers did an amazing job as did many other workers on property. We did have an issue with the free shuttle on one occasion- we were dropped off at the beach and we’re assured that we would be picked up- we were not, we waited and called, after being stranded for 1.5 hours we had a taxi return us to the property. This was disappointing, as we could have taken our rented vehicle paid the parking fee and would have came out ahead. Would I stay here again, most likely - despite the noise and being stranded.
• Daviel Y (10/5): - This spot gets 5 stars due to their staff. Wow, everyone was so kind and helpful. We had all of our birding gear with us and would bird watch on the property. Often, staff would come up to us to make sure we knew about a birding spot nearby. The breakfast was tasty too! Other things we appreciated about this property: The number of hangers they provided. How large the bathroom was They were the only hotel we stayed at that had shampoo and conditioner! Plenty of towels Some improvements we would love to see: Stronger water pressure Adding Acopian BirdSaver curtains or the window decals to prevent bird collisions with the windows. We had a few birds collide with the windows and that is very dangerous for them More foliage. I know this part is knit picky, but I felt like the property was too manicured. I thought we would have a little bit more of a rainforest around us.

• Maxanne (10/5): - The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent and tasty food options, definitely recommend the watermelon gazpacho and ceviche. Our room was back toward the pool and restaurant area so road noise was not an issue as mentioned in other reviews. The trail behind the property was really neat and we got to see some capuchin monkeys and a yellow headed caracara. Unfortunately, the zip lines were closed for maintenance the day we were there which was a bummer but good to know they check it weekly.
• Jamaal (10/5): - Wonderful facility, great map, beautiful property. The main road nearby is quite noisy. The private nature reserve needs better maps, so you know how long you will need to complete each trail.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - We spent 3 nights at La Foresta at the end of our vacation. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The pool is excellent! We spent hours in the trails behind the hotel and never saw another person. It was a unique opportunity, and we enjoyed it. We saw the most animals and birds just sitting on the patio. The place is so full of life!! The downside is the noise. Not only from the highway, but the leaf blower that was running every morning. We hated that leaf blower!! Food at the bar was pretty good, but the restaurant was not great. Overall, the resort is gorgeous, and we enjoyed our time there.

The bathroom compliments of liquid soaps and creams is a nice touch. Would be nice to have in room coffee. This is the one thing that is missed.

• Barry (2/5): - There were a number of issues with this property from worst to least worse: 1) The property added an extra unrecognized and hefty charge to my card a few days after I left. Still in dispute and still no explanation (after 2 months). 2) The property is near a busy highway and the windows aren’t noise insulated. The room was quite noisy at night. I did go out and get ear plugs. 3) the staff don’t man the front desk. They weren’t there when I checked in or when I checked out. In both cases I had to wait 30 minutes. When I left to get ear plugs for the noise I also had to wait 30 minutes for the front desk to open the gate.

• Sachin (8/5): Cheaper option for Manuel Antonio - It was a good option given area around Manuel Antonio is super expensive. It is about 15 minutes drive to the park.

We stayed in a suite right at the end of the hotel and we heard the vehicles all night. They hotel is clean and comfortable, however they really should let you know in advanced that they are right on the highway.
• Ewelina (10/5): - We stayed at La Foresta for 3 days in Casita. We really loved the place and enjoyed a lot. The place is surrounded by the nature, they have their own walking trails in the forest behind the hotel and a beautiful and very well tended garden on the property. The swimming pool was great and we spent a lot of time just chilling out by the pool. I am vegetarian and I appreciated that they had a lot of vegetarian options on the menu. But the highlight of this place is the staff. They all are amazing, super nice and helpful. In particular Evelyn at the reception desk who went out of her way to assist us with everything we asked for. Thank you

• Verified traveler (10/5): One of the best in this price range - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Foresta Nature Resort. Large, clean, "like new" rooms with well-functioning A/C. Spacious bathroom with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. A great feature is the ceiling fan in the bathroom, coupled with a sliding, screened window adjacent to the shower. Keeps the air dry and fresh -- nice! The TV was not working when we first arrived, but Sandy (extremely nice and helpful) had someone come and take care of it immediately. The BEST feature was the huge, covered front porch with 2 comfy rocking chairs. Great for watching the goings on in the gardens (birds, bats, butterflies, iguanas, etc). Breakfast is included, which is always appreciated, especially when a lot of hotels charge from $5 to $8 per person. It was about the same as most of our hotel breakfasts in Costa Rica -- OK, but nothing to write home about. Service was excellent. The grounds are beautiful with some huge, old trees and a large variety of plantings, many of which attract butterflies. While the place is right near the main road, the traffic noise did not bother me. It really tapers off after dark and I really didn't notice it -- and I am a very light sleeper. Most of the hotels that we stayed in during our 2 week trip were in this price range ($100 per night, give or take, after all of the fees and taxes are included). While all of them had their pros and cons, this was probably the best one, overall.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - This was our favorite hotel during our weeklong stay in various parts of Costa Rica. Our room faced a garden that were frequently visited by iguanas and butterflies. Breakfast was wonderful. One morning it was a buffet because the hotel was quite busy, and the next day was tableservice which was equally as amazing. They even have walking trails that let you explore the nearby forest area. We loved our stay here because the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. If we are ever in Quepos again, we are definitely staying here.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - The grounds are incredible. Lots of wildlife (birds, butterflies, lizards, etc) but nothing bothers you, sono need to worry. The room is well AC’d, clean, and spacious. Food was delicious at the restaurant, and the pool was pristine - definitely my favorite part of the stay. They do also have on-site attractions like trails, bridges, and zip lining (I believe), so it’s ultra accommodating.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - We were not happy with this resort. It’s not even fair that they call it “resort” as they have nothing else but swimming pool. On site trail was closed during our stay and guest service didn’t even sorry for it. Rudest stuff. The room has such bad sense and has no taste anywhere. Just with only necessary furniture and light is so blight white like hospital. No coffee, tea nor water even cups/glasses in the room. You have to go buy at the bar or wait until breakfast. However coffee at restaurant is so bad that I couldn’t even drink it after first half. Food at restaurant is also bad and service is slow. Breakfast is not great either. Only 5 kinds with cereals and staled bread. Loud because hotel is on the main road. WiFi so slow. You won’t have WiFi around restaurant pool area. Only in room. Can’t stop writing but I’d advise to avoid this hotel if you travel from overseas. You probably won’t be happy with it. Evidently most of the guests were somehow from local. If you decided to stay here you have to think that it will be like staying at holiday inn. Instead, Search near by ocean hotels only 10min east and the hotels there are so much nicer and unique, surely have better service. You will have many nice restaurants choices as well.
• Adam (10/5): An excellent stay--check the Google Maps Address! - My wife and I had an excellent stay at this location overall. Initially, we typed the address into Google Maps and it said the location was an hour and a half outisde of Quepos. We could not find any other resort with that name within the town. We typed the exact name of the resort and it sent us down dirt roads filled with potholes. We wasted three hours and gas trying to find the resort. We went back to town and connected to WIFI to call the property. They said it was only 7 minutes from town. The Google Maps location was incorrect. We were told that we have to type "hotel" and not "resort" even though thier name is "resort." I imagine this happens all the time. We expressed our concerns to Alfredo, and he did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. The waiter that attended to us was also very hospitable. The property is very nice with excellent service. Administration needs to change its name to "hotel" or contact Google directly. The majority of guests use Google Maps to find locations.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - What an amazing place; from the gardens to the very clean rooms. The pool was wonderful and the breakfast hit the spot. Dillon, our receptionist greeter was so courteous and helpful. The grounds crew and the food preparers were so gracious and polite!!! I highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay as a couple or family. Well worth the money.
• J. (10/5): Beautiful grounds - Easy access - Beautiful grounds set in a very secure environment just 4 km away from downtown Quepos and 11km from Manuel Antonio Park and Beaches. • Ctbeachbm (8/5): - Very attractive and landscaped property. Everything is immaculately clean. Service was excellent. Only disappointment for me was the lack of a coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was good, but quality of the coffee was very poor. Unusual in Costa Rica to run into bad coffee. Had to go the the bakery in the morning offsite to get coffee.

• SP (8/5): - Very convenient location, right off the highway but yet still gives you the feeling you are in the rainforest. Rooms large, clean, good amenities. Nice pool area, perfect for cooling off after walking the trails. Loved the opportunity to walk trails on the property. Howler monkeys on the property as well as Dart frogs, very cool! Restaurant was just okay, food hit or miss for dinner and breakfast so so. Bar at pool open odd times so suggest bringing your own beverages.

• Raj (10/5): - We stayed for 3 nights, the resort is very neat in nice garden environment,thete are nice walking trails around hotel, nice bar and restaurant, we are vegetarians so we had good options in the restaurant menu and breakfast offred by hotel was good. Hotel staff was helpful and couteous too.
• Sheila (8/5): A mixed review - The room staff was very helpful and pleasant. The main problem we experienced was the inefficiency of the kitchen and wait staff. The extremely long waits to have meals, especially lunch, brought to us made the experience unpleasant. Breakfast was a buffet which was very nice. The property consists of lovely gardens and a very nice pool.
