Guest Reviews
- Brian (9/5): -
- Philip (9/5): - Peaceful and tranquil location in the countryside. Nothing
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Yvonne (10/5): Comfortable, clean and convenient. - I picked the location because it is near my family
Breakfast was very good. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming.
- William (8/5): Great Stay - Lesley and Derek were really friendly hosts and very accommodating. Plenty of parking is available down the side of the property. I stayed in the family room, and it was very spacious with a large bathroom.
The shower was delightful - really powerful and a great temperature (genuine highlight of my stay).
The breakfast was delicious, made from local produce. There was also a selection of cereals available, as well as toast. These aren't really negatives as such, but things to be aware of that may matter depending on your preferences.
There are dogs in the property that remain behind a gate downstairs. They do bark quite loud when parking and entering the property, but this didn't really bother me (and is a good security deterrent for your parked vehicle).
Naturally, the property does smell of dog. Again, this isn't something that I was too bothered about. Although, if you're not a big fan of dogs, this may be more of an issue.
- Canham (10/5): - Lovely sized room and even managed to get my favourite radio station. The location was good for visiting my sister and a lovely scenic route to her over the Black Mountains. A lovely local produced breakfast 🍳. Cheers
- Sharon (10/5): We had a fantastic visit made to feel very welcome even with us arriving late at night would highly recommend friends an - Felt like a home from home

- Lloyd (10/5): A trip to wales - Perfect location to where I needed to be, nice pubs down the road where I could get food, and a short drive to the town where more was available.
The house itself was very nice, would say very country-cottage style b&b, lovely couple that run it and a fantastic cooked breakfast in the morning, the room was clean and comfy with a nice ensuite. Couldn't really say I didnt like anything.
- Janice (9/5): Lovely stay - Nice quiet location to relax in! Excellent breakfast
- ANDREW (10/5): excellent b&b at sensible price - both very good nothing springs to mind
- Bec (10/5): Delightful B&B - Lesley and Derek are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Lesley showed us to our room and confirmed all the amenities before checking what time we'd be down for breakfast. The room was immaculately clean and the beds really comfortable. The breakfast was simple but perfect offering of juice/tea/coffee with a good selection of cereals, plus the option to have a delicious homemade breakfast with all local ingredients. The views of the garden were beautiful and we slept really well.
- Martin (9/5): A rural retreat with a warm welcome. - Comfortable. Reasonably priced. Warm welcome. I thought I must have taken a wrong turning. Some directions or an extra sign by the previous junction would have been helpful. Rural post codes cover quite a large area.

- Richard (9/5): Perfect visit, friendly host and great breakfast - Very clean. Very friendly. Lovely breakfast. Nothing. All great
- Teithiwr (5/5): OK - Friendly welcome from the host and the rooms were bright with views of the garden. Nice to have a bath in one of the rooms. We thought the breakfast was very ordinary and were expecting something better for the price, which was more expensive than normal.

- Hope (9/5): Would definitely return for another stay - Owners were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Room was clean and beds comfy. Couldn't ask for more. Lovely scenic area, loved seeing and hearing the farm animals in the morning. Would definitely stay again. Slight smell of dog as you walk in, however the BnB does advertise that pets are welcome and also stay in the property so this was expected. However, this was only in the main hallway, rooms and breakfast room all smelled fresh and clean. And no animal hair to be seen anywhere.
- Dorothy (10/5): Very enjoyable stay, nice breakfast, friendly owners. - Lovely and friendly owners. Clean and spacious room. Allowed to check in early without any problem. A bit remote and difficult to find but for this trip it served its purpose

The B&B even has camping facilities for large groups.
A place I am looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

- Cameron (10/5): Amazing BnB - great value - Had an excellent stay at Ty Newydd. Room clean and hospitable with a tv, tea, coffee, and a kitkat. The view past the garden to the countryside was amazing. Shower was hot with a nice selection of body wash and shampoo. Slept right through in the comfy bed. Hosts were warm and welcoming - Lesley cooked me the best English breakfast with locally sourced produce. Had a nice chat about the area before leaving. 10/10 stay, great value, would recommend and would go back ! Can’t think of anything.
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lungile (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dermot (8/5): This was a perfect stop-off on the Wild Welsh Way. - The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable but not very spacious.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Practically perfect. - Location was ideal for my requirements. Greeted by very hospitable, friendly hosts. I enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast and would certainly stay again if visiting the area. Safe off road parking. The single bed creaked every time I moved or turned over, had I been sharing the room with anyone else it would have disturbed them. It was also too soft for my liking but might have suited others. Just pointing this out so owners might just check out whether bed needs attention; certainly didn’t spoil my stay.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): An experience to remember! - Really characterful and cosy old inn
- Julie (10/5): A very comfortable stay. - It was a very clean and comfortable room. Lesley and Derek were very welcoming, breakfast was very good.

- Francis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Veronica (9/5): Superb - Really lovely and welcoming hosts! A lot of options for breakfast. If we happen to be in the area again, I would definitely be happy to stay again.
- Susan (7/5): OK, apart from the tiny wash basin. - Breakfast was very good. Location limited: neither shops, restaurants nor interesting walking was in easy reach. Wash basin was extremely small.
Room door next to mine squeaked.
Dogs barked when anyone moved (not at night, though).
- Clive (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely people, lovely accommodation and lovely area
- Kent (9/5): Enjoyable break in the Welsh countryside. - Lovely country surroundings and comfortable stay. Home grown produce for breakfast and hosts very amenable. Nothing.
- Garry (10/5): Warm and friendly. Fantastic breakfast. - Lovely warm and personal welcome. I felt like I was visiting my best friend or favourite relative. Room was great with views and I especially loved the small but great bathroom and shower. I was reassured with their safe, off-road parking for my motorcycle. However, the highlight was the truly superb breakfast using all local ingredients and Lesley's home grown tomatoes. Would recommend this B&B to anyone. Nothing at all.
- Paul (10/5): A comfortable stay with lovely, down to earth hosts! - Comfortable, homely Nothing - all gone
- Neal (8/5): Had a good comfortable stay. - Great room with a view, quiet and tranquil surroundings. The house had a very strong smell of dogs and cats as you entered the main door.

- Diane (10/5): Exceptional - Great couple who are the hosts. Excellent cooked breakfast in the morning. Very nice comfortable room.
- Dermot (9/5): Superb -
- Kingston (10/5): Was a great b & b and just in the location I required. Both Leslie and Derek were great hosts. - Breakfast and staff were excellent
- Jami (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessey (9/5): Extremely nice hosts and wonderful breakfast in a pretty rural setting - We really enjoyed the couple who owns this b&b. Very nice down to earth people who showed us around the farm when we arrived because we wanted to see their lambs and RV hookup spots. They served a great breakfast too with local sausage. They were experiencing a heatwave when we arrived but luckily it cools down quite a bit at night and a nice breeze comes through the windows. I think a great upgrade would be new mattresses when they can be afforded. We really enjoyed our stay though.
- Dee (7/5): Brilliant breakfast, friendly staff, quiet locationS - Brilliant breakfast. Quick service. Friendly owners. Good to stay in a farmhouse occupied by the hotel owners. Lovely quiet location. Bed slightly saggy when you sit on it. Think bed has traditional open coil springs. Mattress ok but a bit lumpy . I prefer a firm base, with pocket sprung mattress on top. Then either a padded mattress topper or a memory foam one. Realise this makes me sound like 'the princess and the pea' fairytale ! Premium Inns have excellent, comfortable beds. They use Hypnos mattresses.
Slept well because I found a comfy channel in the mattress to sleep in. I am a side-sleeper.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional hosts - Lesley and Derek were very welcoming and went above and beyond (allowing me to use their microwave and even washing up my tupperware containers for me!) They offered me fresh milk to have in my room for my tea too. N/A
- Annie (9/5): Superb - Lovely area to walk my dog.Hosts very friendly.poached eggs spot on
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Elin (9/5): Superb -
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional - The location was excellent. Breakfast was lovely. Our host, Lesley was happy to cook whatever we asked for. Lesley was very helpful and accommodating especially when we required a sandwich for one of our day's walking. Nothing was too much and both, Lesley and Derek are so friendly.
- Nia (10/5): Had a lovely welcome and stay. wouldn’t hesitate to book again if in the area. Thank you. -
- Anonymous (7/5): Although the dogs were kept away from the guests, the smell was rather unfortunate. We were made very welcome and Leslie - They were very friendly hosts, and the room was lovely. Convenient parking, and plenty of facilities in the room. The unfortunate dog smell inside the property - but luckily not in the bedroom.
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and very friendly
- Simon (10/5): Fab venue and a very peaceful night's sleep! - Very warm welcome and treated my son very well.
