- Colm (10/5): Home away from home - Family travelling with 2 young children. Great welcome on arrival from a friendly, helpful & knowledgeable host who was very accommodating throughout our stay (including a late evening emergency bottle of milk for our youngest). Catherine chatted with us every morning always taking time to include the kids, provided information, advice and directions as required, but otherwise left us to our own devices. She even did all the Covid Safe checks in a lovely, relaxed way. Catherine has a beautiful home with plenty of parking in a fantastic location surrounded by places of historic interest, lakes and beautiful scenery. Tranquil, rural, scenic and centrally located for our travels over 5 days. The room was clean, warm, and spacious with a powerful shower which was an added bonus. We never left the breakfast table hungry; Great fry, fantastic omelettes, and even catered for the kids random breakfast selections. We weren't sure about staying at a B&B, especially with small children, but from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we couldn't have felt more comfortable, relaxed and at home. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

This BnB is out in the countryside which is very peaceful for anyone looking to escape the rush of daily life. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They were both very good at helping me enjoy my stay by recommending places to see and things to do.

Our hosts were very welcoming and lit a log fire in the guest lounge for us to watch tv which made it very cosy. The house is next to a lovely lake and the gardens are beautiful. Breakfast was to notch and so we came away very happy.

Hosts were very accommodating in that we arrived late both nights, lovely friendly people. Would highly recommend if you love walking, fishing, sightseeing in that area.
