• gerard (10/5): Petit paradis au calme. - Hotel super calme en retrait de la route. Possibilité de loué un scooter après de Denis. Les chambress sont spacieuses est très propres. Jolie jardin bien entretenu petite piscine que l'on apprécié. Carol et Denis sont super gentils il se plis en quatre pour vous rendre votre séjour agréable Petit déjeuner correct préparé par Denis bravo à lui. Merci à la petite demoiselle qui fait le ménage elle est discrète mais efficace et gentille. Il y a du matériel de sport et de musculation et aussi un ring ou l'on peut faire du sport de combat. Cette hotel fait plus penser à une pension de famille tellement que l'on si sent bien . De plus si vous aimez les animaux vous serez service il y a 3 super chiens 1 tortue des oiseaux 2 reptiles et 1 serpent Nous sommes restés 20 nuits et cela a été que du bonheur . Rien tout était parfait .

• Thomas (8/5): Einfach, freundlich und super ruhig - Super freundliche Menschen. Gut gelegen um in der Umgebung von Rayong Ausflüge zu machen. Absolut ruhig gelegen. Frühstück wird zwar angeboten, ist aber sehr einfach.
• Bjørn (9/5): A nice place for a privat stay away from it all with very friendly and helpfull staff - Very nice and friendly staff, Dennis and Carol, american born, so english is not a problem here Breakfast made by Dennis in the morning, fried eggs, croissants, jam , coffe, juice, just fine Nice spacey rooms with very good beds and everything else perfect. The pools is small but fine, only two sun loungers The hotel is perfect if you want to stay in privacy The dogs in the neighbor house was chasing me a couple of times when i passed by on a scooter, dont like that If you are looking for a place with bars/restaurants atc next door, find another place. Its not reccomended to walk in the evening down to the seafront because of the crazy dogs, the dogs that belong to the hotels are just super friendly. The beach is about 10 minutes walk, you will find some seafood restaurants on the beach there, but i didnt see anyone eating there amd that makes me not tempted to eat there

• ANDRE (9/5): Relaxing, peaceful and very pleasant. - The environment is very quiet and calm with walking distance to a small town where there is a nice beach and several sea food restuarants just on the beach (very reasonable prices). Carol and Denis are just like friends. Very dedicated to their jobs, making our stay as pleasant as possible. We had free bicycles. As we were the only guests, we had a diner with the young couple. It was a very good and pleasant diner.

• Vladislav (10/5): Very nice quiet place 🙌 - Very nice quiet place in a village. You should have a motorcycle or a car if you want to go outside. Also you can use free hotel bike. Carol helped us to rent motorcycle, it was delivered at the hotel 👍 The room was very clean and comfortable, interesting design. The breakfast time is from 7.30 till 9.30, you should choose time you want and your breakfast will be ready to this time. The stuff was very helpful 🙌 Thanks a lot Carol for your cooperation ❤️

The rooms are beautiful, super clean and you have everything you need plus a view to the sunset :) 7 eleven and a lot of restaurants and the beach is a quick walk or a 3min scooty drive away. The retreat is such a calm and lovely place to unwind and calm down. Carol and Dennis are perfect hosts, Dennis make perfect breakfast and Carol gave us a lot of tips for our upcoming travel. Also the rest of the crew is super lovely. We felt so welcome and really enjoyed our stay. -

• Iléa (10/5): A peaceful place - Tree Roots Retreat is a peaceful spot just a short walk from the beach. Our room was spacious, quiet, and had a lovely view of the pool and garden. Carol and Denis, who manage the retreat, were incredibly welcoming and gave us great tips on what to do in the area. The staff were always friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. There’s so much to explore nearby, beautiful beaches, great restaurants and bars, local markets, and even Ko Samet island. We especially loved Kai Seafood, a restaurant on the beach just a few minutes away by walk. The retreat has everything you need to relax, like a pool, billiards, and ping pong. Renting a motorbike is a great way to explore the area. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend! Thank you for everything! ❤️ Lots of love !

• Julie (10/5): The perfect retreat - Tree Roots Retreat is a gem for people looking for a weekend getaway to unplug. It is tucked into a field but still walkable to the beach, and my what a sight the sea was these past few days! The whole place has a distinct character with mix-and-match decor & furnitures, but they all come together quite well and the overall ambience is one of coziness. To me it feels like the summer version of curling up by the fireplace with a hot cocoa when it's snowing. The rooms are spacious with a huge bed, it is so comfy I could literally sink into it and disappear for a week! Each room also has a private "loft" which doubles as a reading nook. Don't fret if you forgot reading materials, they have a library there too! What makes the place standout the most though, isn't all of the above I've mentioned, but rather the hospitality and sincerity the retreat hosts - Carol & Dennis - show to each of their guests. What a wonderful pair! Highly recommend this place, and will most definitely be back!
• Ching (10/5): Me and my husband stayed here for four nights in early December. It was a quiet area, we really took a big rest. The ret - The location is great. By motorbike, you will see the sea and 711 in 3 min. The bed is great itself (not too soft and not too hard). The pool is too short that I can’t really swim and at night there will be wide insects around so I can’t get into the pool as well.
• Katsiaryna (10/5): Exceptional - The Perfect Place for Peace and Harmony If you are looking for privacy, tranquility, and a connection with nature, this is the perfect place for you. You will stay in your own private bungalow, where you can completely relax and feel at home. The people who work here are incredibly kind and attentive! Since it was my first visit, they took such great care of me, like I was part of their family. They created a WhatsApp group to stay connected, took me to the best spots for fresh seafood and fruits, organized a massage, and provided everything I needed, from dishes to adapters. One of the most memorable moments was paddleboarding at sunset – it was absolutely magical. I am deeply grateful to Carol and Dennis for their warm hospitality. They truly know how to create lasting, heartfelt memories of the people and the country. If you want a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, with kind hosts and unforgettable experiences, this is the place to be!

• Sarawut (10/5): Excellent place for your retreat. - “We stayed at the Tree Roots Retreat during the first week of September 2024. It is only a few hundred meters from the beach. We found the place was quiet and peaceful. The Retreat is a pet friendly resort; we took our doggy friend with us. The room we stayed was neat, well equipped with artistic decoration; the air condition was in excellent shape. The Retreat’s area has been well arranged with a small pool, a boxing gym (with a coach), a sauna, etc. The place has a sister cafeteria called The Stay Café by the beach, where we had our breakfast. I had full English breakfast, and my wife also tried a beef burger, and sandwiches. All were wonderful. The management team of the Tree Roots Retreat is friendly and very helpful. We love this place, and wish to come back every year till our doggy friend could not stand a long-distance travelling. – Sarawut Sujitjorn, Korat, Thailand”

And so many things to see and discover on the property, or just do nothing floating in the pool or lounging somewhere in the shade. Aaron, the owner has lots of insider info about where to eat or what to see and he can help getting to and from the place. The most beautiful, endless beach is only 500m away. I would visit anytime again! No complaints
• Elizaveta (10/5): Recharge and carry on - Everything was just wonderful. For a solo traveler, I couldn't be in a better place. I recharged, relaxed, and was ready for my next trip. The people - Aaron, the host, his staff, the guests - they were all absolutely charming and helpful. The area was so beautiful and curious, I spent hours just enjoying the territory and things around. There you u can be active (martial arts, paddle board, proper gym), and you can be intellectually lazy (a sea of books and loads of comfy corners to enjoy reading). There you just relax and find peace in yourself. Ah! And endless beach with absolutely gorgeous water and tasty food hurs along the shore.))

• Fabio (10/5): - Super nice place to spend a few days. The pool is nice, there are tons of books available to read, a nice gym, and a large area for martial arts and yoga with plenty of equipment. The management is fantastic! Walking distance to the beach with a few locals and rarely tourists. Many options for seafood along the beach road. Definitely a place to go back many times.
• Janet (10/5): Peaceful friendly retreat - If you want a place where you can relax completely in peaceful surroundings, tree roots is the place to come. The area around the retreat is sparsely developed which adds to the charm. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance and a beach which has restaurants along it so lots of places to eat but most of them close at eight in the evening which was not a problem for us. The owners aaron and bim and their staff were open and friendly and could not do enough for us, if you needed anything they would go out of their way to help. Transport around the area was a little difficult, there is a local bus service but wasn't sure of the times but the owners took us to the local town ban phe which is worth a look and they also took us in again so we could catch the ferry to Koh samet. If my husband and I come back to Thailand next year we would stay there again.

The manager couldn't have been more helpful, went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Could have easily stayed longer and would of had we not booked other accommodation in Ko Chang. • natejmp (10/5): Everything you want out of Thailand - This small resort is exactly what you are looking for out of Thailand. The location is perfect, a short walk from the beach, a short scooter drive from great authentic Thai or European style dining, and Rayong city is just down the expressway. Every direction is beautiful landscape under good weather. The resort offers every activity you could want for an adventure and the grounds are soothing and relaxing for the rest of your stay. The staff is personal and will definitely help you to make the most out of you vacation.
