We had a view of the water from our room which was spectacular. The rooms do not have mini fridges but there is a common room that has a full kitchen and refrigerator and you can label your food and keep it there. We cooked both dinner and breakfast in the kitchen. Fisherman’s wharf restaurant is attached to the Inn and had amazing seafood. Overall a great experience.

If you are old enough to remember the Newhart show, that's the vibe - friendly, comfy, safe, relaxed, restaurant just feet away, staff that checks in on you - it was perfect. It's a short drive to West Quoddy Head Lighthouse (beautiful!) and Monica's Chocolates (delightful!). It's also very close to Campobello, if you have your passport handy.

We were in a downstairs unit of one of the houses. While our space was great, you do hear every little movement (and some discussion) from the folks in the upstairs unit. More than what you usually expect from being downstairs. And - I had understood the porch/balcony was private. Not so - you share the space with the other downstairs unit next door. They were nice folks, but it wasn’t the true privacy I was expecting.

- Daniel (6/5): Inn on the Wharf - Great location with a beautiful view. Easy walking to restaurants and for scenic views. The rooms are a bit dated and the bed was old and not comfortable. Needs some TLC. Friendly staff and lots of things to do in the area.
- Tyler (10/5): - The view from my room was absolutely amazing!! The room was well kept, cozy and well thought out. The sitting area for the window wall looking out to the water was perfect and comfortable. The attached restaurant had the best seafood from my whole trip to and around the east coast of Canada. I would drive 200 miles out of my way to stay at his place again!

Small,sleepy little town, perfect for just relaxing after hiking the Cutler Coast, which was fantastic! Not many dining options in town. Small farmers market on Saturday morning. Nice little coffee shop in town.
- Richard (8/5): - Beautiful bay view and room was very nice. They have updated an old industrial building to be a hotel. Biggest issue are the narrow roads leading to their location and limited parking options.

- Ann (10/5): - Large two bedroom, 2 full bath unit with fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer; also had dining area with sofas and outside balcony overlooking a gorgeous ocean view. It was clean and very comfortable. Attached restaurant food was great. Would definitely stay again!
- Rivello (10/5): - This property also had an adjacent cottage where we were housed. The room was clean with an attached deck overlooking the water. The attached picture is a view from room. Staff was friendly. Easy walk to town of Lubec. I can't say I disliked anything.
- Meike (10/5): - We loved this cute little place! It's an older property so nothing fancy, but we could see the ocean from our window which was an unexpected bonus. We had dinner at the attached restaurant & enjoyed it tremendously--my husband said it was the best bowl of clam chowder he's ever eaten (& he's eaten a LOT of clam chowder) & the blueberry pie was to die for. It was a very easy drive to see the sunrise at the West Quoddy Head Light.

- Joseph (4/5): If not for the view, it would be a complete "zero" and a complete waste of money. - The view was fantastic. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was poorly furnished. Entrance was a sliding door with a torn curtain. Bedding had a terrible odor, especially the pillows which we didn't use. Rooms had no insulation from noise...heard footsteps from the floor above all night. Found out that 2 dogs were in the rental. We thought dogs were not allowed.

- Frank (10/5): - When you live in the Appalachians at over 2000 ft elevation, any view of the ocean, even a bay of the ocean, is beautiful, thus.. the view was tremendous, We're used to parking at an angle, on a slope, when necessary, so...parking was different, unique, not too challenging. Lubec is a special place, we felt blessed to share our time there.

Great views! Dinner at the cafe next door was also very good. Loved the friendly feeling there. Parking was a little tight but able to park.
- Julie (10/5): - Lovely room overlooking the wharf. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant food okay. Restaurant staff okay. It wasn't very enjoyable to be eating dinner while restaurant staff swept floor and stacked chairs on tables around us.

Corresponded through Booking.com and they assured us no more than 3 stairs down to our room. There were 12, making it hard for us (elderly) to move our suitcases.
- Steven (10/5): A great little hideaway motel with fantastic views - This was a great stay. Location and view could not be better. Parking is very limited and hotel is somewhat hard to find. But once you are there, wow! A small mom & pop motel but the room inside was modernized. We will definitely come back here.

- Donna (10/5): - Updated and spacious room overlooking the bay. Attached restaurant had delicious food, large lobster dinners. Property had a common room available to do your own cooking. Area also included sofas, multiple tables, amenities. Staff in office, restaurant, housekeeping extremely friendly. Convenient area to drive to Campobello Island, New Brunswick or take a sightseeing boat ride to see whales, porpoises, eagles, etc. Highly recommend this Inn.

- Carolyn (9/5): Comfortable rooms, great location, and what a view! - The apartment was fairly compact but very comfortable and it had a balcony with a beautiful view over the bay. We had wondered whether it would be worth paying the extra for the balcony but as we had beautiful weather it definitely was! The location is great. The Inn’s restaurant is right at hand plus it is a short walk to the Main Street where there are a few other restaurants and shops. I have some sensitivity to artificial fragrances and the smell of cleaning products/plug ins can bring on migraines so I was a bit concerned when we arrived and the smell was quite strong. Fortunately, there were bug screens on the windows and doors and we could let it disperse.

Nice common area with coffee, and dining stuff. Right on the water.great view. New owners about a year ago working additional updates and minor maintenance. If you like a rustic harbor property, this is your place!
- Creason (10/5): I will be back. - The location is fantastic. Our room was right over the bay. Great view. The only downside was it smelled musty. We left the sliding glass door open while we sat on the covered deck and let it air out. Terrific. It was alittle musty. It just needed aired out.
- ELISE (9/5): Lovely waterfront location - Lovely spot on the bay and the restaurant meals I had were both great. My room was right off the shared/common space and there was a large and rowdy group that congregated there quite often and quite late. Not the facilities fault, just inconsiderate fellow travelers. The wall between rooms did seem quite thin, I could hear the rumble of voices but not actual words.
- Julie (10/5): - Always smelled so nice. Convience of a restaurant attached to the rooms. Could walk easily anywhere (bring comfy shoes). The ease of booking the ferry to East Port. Local shops and friendly people! We came for a true Maine experience and were not disappointed! Love that it's not a commercialized town. Will be back!!
- John (7/5): very nice stay , able to run to Canada and visit Campobella, people were great - Beautiful view of the bay, convenient location to town. and short run to Canada. next door diner was great for lunch and breakfast when it says you have an oceanview it means just that... we thought we were on a balcony overlooking the bay but this room only had a window view. Also the kitchen area felt awkward as one felt you were entering some ones private kitchen. Friendly warning.....Lubec folds up sidewalks at 8 PM! Eat Early.

- Brigitte (10/5): - Wonderful view, nice seating area, access to a full kitchen was a bonus, very convenient! the piano that was outside of our room. Kids were banging on it early in the morning and when my husband tried to play it, it's horribly out of tune...get rid of it.
- Joanna (7/5): Great location, with a porch to take advantage of the views. - The porch right on the water was wonderful - bird-watching, sunset and sunrises, the amazing tides - really relaxing. Room was smaller than expected but had everything we needed. No sound proofing! We heard every word our neighbors said and unfortunately the people above us were really loud at night (sounded like they were dragging furniture until 10 PM).
- Jane (8/5): - The check-in went well. Skyler was very nice. The Inn is well maintained, and clean. Our room was clean and comfortable. The sliding screen door was broken, so we reported it to Skyler. We did some laundry there and Eliana (I hope I spelled it correctly?) was very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant for all our meals. The food was good, but the service was terrible. The servers were slow taking our orders and bringing our food and drinks. After the servers bring you the food, they never stop by the table again. We always had to flag one down to get more beverages, napkins, utensils, etc. The property needs to train their restaurant staff about customer service.
- buffalow2015 (6/5): Poorly designed room. - As we have for many years my wife and I stayed at the Inn On The Wharf towards the end of August. We have stayed in the cannery suites and in the house suites and this year we were in the “Deck To Sea” suite in House 3. We have enjoyed our stays here even back when the cannery roof used to leak so we were surprised by this room. This is a very small room, one reviewer measured it at 12’ X 14’ and it has some issues that no room should present. First, there are no chairs; there is a very stained and low love seat couch, but no straight back chair or chair of any kind. And since there are no chairs there is no table. Well, there is a small table that serves as a TV stand. No overnight accommodations should exist that doesn’t have a chair. No chair and table means there is no place to compute, to eat, to read, or provide a horizontal surface on which to put things such as a glass or coffee cup. Coffee – In our stays here we found that all the rooms we stayed in had Keurig coffee makers so we started bringing our own Keurig pods that we like. This room has an old style drip coffee maker. Additionally, it was up on top of the armoire. In this very small “suite” is a king size bed. Does that make any sense? So you end up with a U-shaped path around the bed as the only place to move. A queen size bed is what should be here. This room has other smaller problems that I consider minor irritations which would never be the subject of a review by me but since I am writing a review I’ll mention them. There is no place to set a glass or cup while sitting on the deck and you will be sitting on the deck. The deck chairs have these plastic holders on their sides meant to provide a place but these are broken and/or hanging on by a thread. The vanity and sink combination might be the smallest available so there is no place to put toiletries, etc. The shower floor was deadly slippery. I showered with one hand on the grab bar. There was no luggage rack. There was a small stand of some kind which was meant as a rack and we used this but two people usually means two sets of luggage. I doubt that a contortionist could reach the toilet paper should you be seated. We needed ice and we would normally walk over to the restaurant to get some but there was no ice bucket. So I went to the reservation clerk and told her there was no ice bucket. She said, “None of our rooms have ice buckets.” In the end she went off and got me an ice bucket. The biggest negatives with this problem room could be fixed easily. One wall is taken up with an armoire and love seat. The armoire isn’t used in this short stay room and that love seat shouldn’t be in any room anywhere. In their place add 2 chairs and a small table which could go in the corner and add a luggage rack and small stand. Replace the king size bed with a queen size and small night stand. Or, remove the large TV that doesn’t get the Red Sox so there is no need for it anyway. Yes, I disliked this room a lot but please don’t be put off by this review. This has always been a great place to stay and I anticipate that it will be that way in the future. Yes, there are new owners and they may still be working out issues but we will be staying with them going forward. We just will not be staying in House 3.

We arrived after hours but the staff communicated with us in advance and provided all necessary information to make for a seamless check. The room was clean and comforable as expected.
