- Laura (9/5): Lovely quaint facility - The location was very close to the main Kyoto train station and to many restaurants. It was a classic Japanese inn, with traditional Japanese tatami rooms, elegantly appointed. Everything was immaculately clean, and the classic hot bath was very soothing. It was a wonderful way to get an authentic Japanese experience for a very reasonable cost. The futons were firm to sleep on, but that is probably just because we are foreigners used to softer mattresses.
- EMMANUELLE (9/5): Super établissement, hyper bien placé et excellent rapport qualité prix - C’est très beau, bien aménagé, l’hôtesse est très accueillante et fournit tout ce qu’il faut dont un accès à la baignoire japonaise typique qui nous a procuré un incroyable moment de relaxation après une longue journée de marche. Et on peut lui laisser nos bagages ce qui est top! Rien. Ça serait super de pouvoir quitter la chambre un tout petit peu plus tard car pas évident à 5 d’être tous prêts pour 10h avec le décalage horaire ;)

- Mahmoud (9/5): Great stay near Kyoto Station at a traditional Japanese inn. - Great experience outside of a traditional hotel. Traditional Japanese bath is available. Close to Kyoto station. Bathrooms are private but shared among all guests. On rare occasions, you may have to wait 5-10 minutes for the bathroom or shower. However, I mostly found this to not be an issue.

Nos lits étaient refait tous les jours, ainsi que le ménage. Nous avons adoré la salle de bain avec le bain chaud, c'était génial de pouvoir prendre son bain après des journées à marcher dans le froid. L'emplacement était idéal. Rien, tout était parfait :)

Probablement la norme dans un Ryokan, les parois des murs sont assez fines et il est courant de se faire réveiller par le sèche-cheveu du couloir ou réveil des autres clients.

- Angela (9/5): If you want to stay in a hotel/inn that feels like a cozy home, please consider this place! - I very much enjoyed staying at Fujiya Ryokan! I wanted to try the traditional tatami mat room during my first trip to Japan, so this was a wonderful experience. This location is super close to Kyoto station as well as many nearby convenience stores, so it was extremely convenient for us travelling with our belongings and grabbing late-night snacks to enjoy in our room. While the bathroom is shared between guests, we didn't have any problem with the the toilets/showers being occupied. Finally, the owner was very kind, hospitable, and always stepped out to say hi whenever we came back from a long day of sightseeing. She would also provide new snacks and tea in our room each day which we enjoyed. I would definitely book this place again if we ever come back to visit Kyoto! There isn't anything much for me to complain about. I was unsure how I would feel about a shared bathroom/toilet with other guests, but didn't have any bad experience with that.

It’s not flashy or commercialized, just honest hospitality with thoughtful touches. The tatami rooms, peaceful setting, and kind staff made it feel like a genuine cultural experience. A perfect place to slow down and soak in real Japanese tradition. We were able to leave our luggage and explore Kyoto for the day. The kind lady who runs the ryokan even canceled her cat’s appointment just to make sure she’d be there when we came back to pick up our bags. We ended up getting on the wrong bus and were an hour late, but she was so understanding about it. Truly next-level hospitality! None

Se non si è abituati ai bagni in comune ci si può sentire un po' a disagio per quanto fosse tutto pulitissimo. Anche il futon bellissima esperienza ma può risultare scomodo.

- Louie (8/5): Great, authentic property at a good price - The owner was really nice and accommodating, they had lots of facilities available and also many available toiletries etc. The entire property was super cute and authentic, and it wasa nice experience staying in a true Ryokan-style hotel. I can't comment on the Japanese bath as we didn't try it, but the shower and bathrooms (shared between rooms but all private) were clean. The property was very close to the station, a few minutes walk max, and had some nice restaurants close by, as well as convenience stores. We had a very good experience overall, which was especially good for the price. The futon bed wasn't the most comfortable, and the room wasn't completely dark at night due to outside lighting, but it was still a fun experience and we slept well nonetheless.

La signora Naito, gestisce la sua piccola struttura e segue i suoi ospiti in modo impeccabile. Noi siamo stati super coccolati. Quando torneremo a Kyoto verremo qui. Il Ryokan è a due passi dalla stazione di Kyoto, quindi super comodo.

The room was large, comfortable. I was even able to receive a large package at the Ryokan before my arrival, and it was taken care of. Beaucoup de produits sont mis à disposition des clients durant leur séjour, ce qui témoigne du soin que les propriétaires accordent à leur établissement. Le couvre-feu peut être un peu contraignant.
