- Rouldy (8/5): Hawassa hotel feedback - It’s a nice resort. But I think it’s best suited for family with children and married couples or if you want to impress your date. All the staffs were nice and helpful. The best thing thing was to see the lake and enjoyed it from my window especially when I wake up in the early morning. But I had one big issue that am trying to solve still they charged me again which was inconvenient even though I told them my reservation was already paid online obviously on your website. But they didn’t charge me twice when I booked via Booking. So not sure where the miscommunication came from.

- Yedidiya (10/5): - I stayed in Hawassa for 2 weeks during my vacation back home from the states. I have had to extend my stay in the city a couple times and it was mainly because of this resort. I have never seen such great customer service and such well trained and loving set of staff. This is not just a job for them, they pay attention and show love to their guests like I have never seen before. And this was not limited to front desk or anything. Everyone from the door men, front desk, to servers, house keeping, spa workers, and everyone else I might have forgotten, EVERYONE was great! I have felt so at home while staying at the resort that I was coming even on days I was not staying there. I can keep going on about how amazing and attentive the staff was but it would take too long haha. I just wished the menu had just a bit more variety mainly because I would want to stay for several days whenever I go and it would be nice to be able to diversify my food group options. But whatever was on the menu was great. The only thing I thought could have been better during my stay was the pool. I think it would be upkeeping with the quality of the resort if the pool had a warmer. During our stay it was supposed to be sunny but since the resort is by the water and gets cold at night, we have to wait half a day for the pool water to go back to normal. Because the pool is one of the main activities it would be great to have a pool warmer. Other than that everything was great and I recommend this place
- Yedidiya (8/5): - Overall my stay at Haile Resort was great! We did run into some minor issues like our tv in the room not working great. The room and it’s things like cleanliness, and comfort was great. Something else that bothered me was the fact that we paid extra to have an ocean view room but the room we got had its ocean view blocked by a tree upfront. It was not a big deal to me as I enjoyed being out anyway but I think that should be considered a bit more since you have to pay extra for the view. Other than that the staff around was amazing and resort itself was a great place to be at so you can relax.

The cardio machines in the gym are very old and the decoration of the restaurant is a bit old-fashionned. In conclusion, we had a good time with family in a magical setting.

It might be your birthday, anniversary, honeymoon…..the reason why I said that , I was their for my honeymoon with my beautiful wife , we have really enjoyed our honeymoon! I can’t tell you how the surprised as! They decorated our room every single day we stay there! Make a cake for our honeymoon! NOTE: Don’t get surprised all this thing is covered by Haile resort I paid only for the room! Cake, decoration of the room is freeeeeee freeeeeee!!!! So the money you gonna expend at the resort is very very cheap when you compare with the other’s!! For the safety matter Haile resort is #1 Haile resort left unforgettable memory in our honeymoon! HAILE RESORT IS NUMBER ONE IN MY BOOK! - Reinhard (10/5): Traum am See - Das Personal war von ausgesuchter Freundlichkeit und Höflichkeit. Das begann schon vor der Tür bei der Security und setzte sich bis zum gratis Shuttle zum Flughafen fort. Das Hotel ist picobello sauber, die Toiletten werden permanent geputzt. Die Lage am See ist traumhaft, siehe Foto. Einziger Minuspunkt war, dass man im Restaurant, offenbar auch wie in vielen anderen Restaurants in Äthiopien, mit Glutamat kocht. Wer damit kein Problem hat, dem kann man das Haile Ressort uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

- Trine Sogn (8/5): Lectures at MSc. course Wonod Genet - Very good but the shower needed to be turn on in 30 minutes every morgning in order to get hot water ( 2nd floor, sea view), and the internet connection was extremely unstable. Stable internet connection was one of the main reason the hotel was chosen because I needed to do som home work in the afternoons.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Our apartment was too far down a dirt road from the main building. Luggage couldn't be rolled on it, and there was no bell hop to help. It was dirty, had no lamps, or, amenities. The shower hose was broken, and the water wasn't hot. This resort was a hot, dry, boring mess! Hated it!

The pool area is a bit ruff and it is cold and dirty water. The breakfast is poor, not much to choose from. The staff really tries their best and are very helpfull.

They picked me up from the bus station which was a great help And also organised one of the staff to act as a guide for me to the fish market and nature park as I was a lone female traveller. Really enjoyed the boat ride that leaves from the hotel jetty to see the hippos. It’s worth paying for a lake view room as the views were amazing, my room was clean, tidy and very spacious. Breakfast was great, lunch and dinner at the hotel had a nice variety of options and they even made up something smaller for me that wasn’t on the menu. Enjoying a glass of wine from the sunset bar overlooking the lake was also great. The gym facilities were good as was the pool and sauna and steam. Overall I had a wonderful relaxing time! Would highly recommend!!

Maten er god og trygg. Utmerket servise fra betjeningen i forbindelse med feiring av dag. Tregt Internett. Men det gjelder for hele landet. Lunefull dusj, men alltid vann i springen. Stor fordel at en kan forhåndsbestille og forhåndsbetale på dette hotellet.
- Wanderer (8/5): Almost Amazing... - I'm from the US, but have lived in rural Ethiopia for 7 years. I needed a break... time for quiet and beauty and a re-charge. I got that at the Haile. The location on a lovely part of the lake was just what I needed. My room overlooked the lake and the infinity pool. It's on a part of the lake that's perfect for beautiful sunsets. The outside dining options are peaceful and beautiful, whether at the pool, under the giant trees, or along the beach at the "wine bar." Lots of birds to see, occasional hippos, local fishermen. The gym is well-equipped, but personnel there as well as a couple of other places, could be more helpful/better trained, in my opinion. The possibilities for massage and manicure/pedicure are great. Room service is good. The buffet breakfast is good. The main problems, in terms of the facility itself: 1) sewage problem so that there is a stench in the pool area that makes lounging/eating snacks less than pleasant, 2) the water in the shower did a kind of "pulsing thing" that went from all cold to all hot water, but never really stayed at a good medium temperature - so showers were not pleasant. If both of these problems, and staff training were addressed, my rating would be a 5.
