Guest Reviews
- Nicole (10/5): - Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The hotel is beautifully remodeled and so thoughtfully decorated. Jeannie is such an awesome host. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Her hard work and attention to detail is evident throughout the hotel. So clean and welcoming. We highly recommend staying with her and will will most definitely be returning.
- Tahirah (10/5): Hermann weekend - Central Hotel is my choice for lodging the next time I'm visiting wine country in Missouri. Jeanne was so inviting and hospitable during my visit. She was very informative of the history of the hotel and surrounding area. I can't wait to visit again.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Very well restored property, staff was exceptional. Breakfast could be improved but all else was excellent. Jeanne (i think that is her name) was very sweet, helpful & hospitable!
- Matthew (6/5): - The B&B itself was impecable and clean. The bed was very comgortable. Our only complaint is the breakfast. All that was served was like a pastry, fruit, a small yogurt cup and coffee. For the price that the guests pay we feel that the breakfast should be significantly better. Also guests should have the option to have breakfast brought to their room. In my opinion the breakfast was no different than that of a continental breakfast at an average hotel. In fact, i have had better breakfasts at an average hotel. Other than that, our stay was good.
- Anthony (10/5): - Our stay was great. We look forward to returning
- Sydney (10/5): - A great experience. Jeanne was an outstanding host. I had a relaxing and pleasant experience. The room and entire inn are exceptional and I plan to come back with my husband.
- Colleen (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay.

- Mike (10/5): Don't miss out! - What a great experience. The building was renovated keeping the old world charm. The caretaker is a great person very friendly and hospitable. I loved the sound of the distant trains going by. It was so relaxing. I hope to stay their again soon!
- Charles (10/5): - Unique
- Barbara (10/5): - Absolutely loved the Central Hotel! This is a beautifully renovate hotel. It has so much charm. Each room is unique with a tasteful mixture of modern convenience and a decorative touch of years gone by. Jeannie keeps the hotel clean and makes sure you feel welcome. There is an upscale Continental breakfast with Jeannie's personal service to make sure you have what you need. Wish we had planned another night there. The town is charming with a down-home feel. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind, the Central Hotel is a great choice.
- Karen (10/5): - This hotel is quiet and quaint!!!
- Curtis (10/5): - Very nice quiet place to stay. It was clean and well taken care of. Check in was quick and easy. A short walk or drive to the downtown area.

- Brit (10/5): Great spot - short distance to Hermann - Had a great one-night stay at the Central Hotel! Short and convenient distance to Hermann. Our room was spacious, breakfast was good! Jeanne was a great host! We would definitely stay here again if/when we come back to the area!
- Allison (10/5): - Our stay at the Central Hotel was great! The staff was so nice and attentive. We truly couldn’t have found a better hotel!
- Mark (10/5): - The hotel far exceeded expectations. The room was great. Just a short drive to Herrman
- Mark (10/5): Wonderful small hotel/B&B - The Central Hotel in New Haven, MO, is a gem. An old, old hotel in this quaint river town, it was gut-rehabbed and restored 20 or so years ago and today offers a feel of days gone by in a facility that is really very 21st century. The rooms are furnished and decorated in an old fashioned way, but the small TVs are perfect, the wi-fi works well, everything is spotlessly clean and all the plumbing works just the way it should (even in the claw-footed bathtubs found in a couple of the rooms. The lobby is a cozy place to visit, the dining area comfortable and very functional, the sitting porches are great places to pass a few hours with a book or a friend. There are “little touches” everywhere that make you feel at home. New Haven is not the hoppingest town in the Missouri River valley, but it is only about 10 or 12 minutes away from Washington (to the east), a larger town with lots of entertainment and dining options, and Hermann (to the west), the hub of Missouri wine country.
- Mary (10/5): - The room was immaculate and lovely. Jeanne was an excellent hostess and very helpful and friendly.
- Lee (10/5): - A great quiet getaway. Loved the porches. Easy driving to wineries, walks along the river, the Old Dutch Tavern, and the quaint town of Washington. Jeannie was the best!
- Nathan (10/5): Beyond Adorable! Happy Pride! - This is one of the cleanest, cutest and nicest places I have booked! A incredibly gracious host! This is a hidden gem worth going out of your way for! Beautiful deck’s AMAZING rooms! Beautifully decorated and a very lovely breakfast! Will be going out of my way to stay here again!
- CHERYL (10/5): - Beautiful ambiance! Sparkling clean and true antique furniture for this refurbished historic home
- Kadi (10/5): - Very well decorated and appointed. Very clean. Very friendly. Perfect place in a small town.
- Pamela (10/5): - The host was the best! Beautiful old steucture . We enjoyed our stay so much we cant wait to go back.
- Chad (10/5): - Charm
- Charles (10/5): - Great location between Hermann and Washington, MO. Our host, Jeanne, is delightful and made our stay better. More to do in New Haven than was expected. Highly recommend!
- Melissa (10/5): - It was excellent! Will try to stay there again
- Stephanie (10/5): Wonderful weekend away - My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at the Central Hotel. We were comfortable and the manager was extremely accommodating! She told us the best places to eat and drink. :) Everything was spotless and updated.
- Richard (10/5): Six Stars out of Five - A great stay at a truly unique hotel. Clean & comfortable with a great ambiance. The furnishing and décor were amazing and the person in charge (Jeanie) was fabulous.
- Cynthia (10/5): - Excellent !
- Mary (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at this beautifully decorated hotel.
- Lisa (8/5): - Fantastic hostess! She’ll get you anything she has! Pleasing continental breakfast begins at 830 prepared by hostess. 5 guest rooms in bed and breakfast style hotel. Parking out front. A quiet setting near riverfront and downtown. Not a late nighters area but the town is developing and situated in between bigger retail community of Washington Mo and Hermann Mo .. decor is not meant to be modern and is quaint and comfy and fitting. Property is In great shape clean and managed well. Be mindful that Privacy is limited as TV and conversations, etc can be heard from the shared hallway. Enjoy the coffee BAR across the street or the rocking chairs on the covered patio. Hostess is a great communicator. Water bottles available. Games, books movies available with in room DVR and great streaming and WiFi options. Loved my bubbles in the claw foot tub. Most rooms are queen size but at least one room has a king bed. Will stay again on next Hermann weekend. Great place for your whole group.
- Alexis (10/5): - I loved the history they incorporated in the restoration of the building. They truly did a fantastic job and the host couldn't have been more polite and helpful!
- Hailey (10/5): - it was nice
- Kathleen (10/5): - Very clean and friendly
- Sean (10/5): - Jeane (sp?) was the hostess with the mostest! She made us feel welcome and at home during our stay. We loved it!
- Kenny (10/5): - Such a quaint little place. Very clean very friendly staff couldn’t ask for a better day.
- Matt (10/5): - This was a pleasant, clean little B and B. We loved the upkeep and style.
Only complaint is this awesome little place is so close to a RR track, that we heard 3-4 trains while sleeping (definitely not B and B fault. Would de6 stay again
Hostess was also so sweet and accommodating
- randy (10/5): - there wasn't any negatives about your stay everting was great !look forward to going back soon!
- Dawn (10/5): A true Gem!! - What an amazing surprise in this quaint little town! This hotel was beautifully decorated, sparkling clean, and so comfortable! Jeanne, or host, was so accommodating to all our requests. The location was great- walking distance to the downtown riverfront & Seeks coffee & cocktails is right across the street! It was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting family in the area. Will definitely stay again!
- Deborah (10/5): - Jeannie was a wonderful and welcoming innkeeper and was extremely attentive to all our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in our beautiful room, I particularly loved the opportunity to enjoy a long hot soak in the roomy claw foot bathtub!
- Heather (10/5): Could not recommend more. - Amazing! The attention to detail makes it feel like home.
- Steven (10/5): - The fashion in which the hotel is set up is inviting as soon as you walk in. The mood is comforting. The staff is amazingly friendly. Felt more like a b and b, then a hotel. The only down side is the beds are a little in the hard side. But that being said we will come back again and again. Absolutely loved this place.
- Kenneth (10/5): - The Central Hotel is a wonderful bed &breakfast located in a quaint riverside community midway between Washington and Hermann, Missouri. We were pleasantly surprised with the attention to detail and home-like feel of our two-day stay. We highly recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to step back in time and enjoy the folclore of this wine region.
- Trina (10/5): - A quaint hotel built in the 1800s. Spacious room. Unfortunately we had to leave early so we didn’t get to try out their breakfast. I bet it was good.
- Ryan (10/5): Thumbs up - Great service and location
- Joe (10/5): - Beautifully decorated. Charming and comfortable. Had a wonderful evening ,after dinner, sitting on the back balcony visiting and having some drinks. Our host was so friendly and nice. Breakfast was lovely.
- Arno R (10/5): - Jeanne is an ABSOLUTE delight; it felt like we had come home from the moment we entered the front door! We are already talking about making future stays at the hotel on a frequent basis, we enjoyed her and the service she provided, SO much!
- Ray (10/5): - Friendly
- Ron (10/5): - Perfect!!!
