- E9037WKannd (10/5): Delightful high tea. - What a lovely afternoon tea. Plenty of tea choice, good quality food, great portions served by friendly professional staff. Nothing was too much trouble. A delightful Sunday afternoon. Thank you.
- Colin (7/5): fitted the bill - good room, bathroom and swimming pool. bottle of water supplied. nice breakfast area and exceptional full english breakfast, comfy bed breakfast is expensive if you only need something simple. unimaginative evening menu, no real ale
- Dominic (10/5): Perfection - Food was amazing,staff excellent.
Didn't want to leave All of it !!!!!!?

Nichts
- Collette (7/5): Nice stay. Few additions and would be amazing - Quiet, staff good, lady on reception was lovely. Food was nice too. The rooms are slightly dated and you can hear what’s going on in the next room. TV’s should be upgraded to smart TV’s. Although clean and spacious, could do with a few extra tweaks and would be fabulous.
- Serena (10/5): Great place kids loved it , lovey staff and good location - The kids loved the pool and poolside room Would of been nice if the poolside room could fit a family of 4 as we had to book additional room

- Jon (8/5): Nice restaurant with good food. Very good room. Would stay again. - Good sized room. Access corridor would have been a bit narrow I'd used my mobility scooter.
Clean room & comfortable bed. Would have preferred wal in shower rather that shower over bath.
- Kristina (6/5): - I booked a stay in the spa bath room as a treat after a bad day at work. The parking was convenient and both receptionist i met were polite and helpful. However the spa bath in my room was old and not as clean as i expected- there were hairs and the jets looked dirty- i cleaned it myself and used it anyway as i just wanted to relax on that day and mainly booked my stay because of the spa bath. I had a good night sleep as the bed was very comfy but unfortunately i did a mistake and forgot my phone charger in the room when checked out on the next day. I phoned reception the day after and they told me the charger was not found by the cleaners which i found very disappointing as i only had a backpack and my charger was definitely not in it. I understand that forgetting my charger was my bad but however took it could at least wait a few days before keeping it. That said i won't visit Badgers Mount again and won't recommend it to others Bathroom cleanness
My phone charger was taken

- Charlotte (10/5): Great overall. - Our room was amazing. The children’s bed was really spacious. My uncle was upset as it was his 80th and he wanted to watch the rugby. We were told the tv was.not allowed on in the room we had dinner in.
- Jacqui (10/5): Will be returning very soon - Great location. Beautiful spacious rooms. Great staff and amazing food NA - Was amazing
- Nigel (8/5): -
- Russell (5/5): -
- Ian (9/5): - Fantastic young barstaff
- Beverley (10/5): -
- David Motaze (5/5): The service could be better - The location of the hotel was ideal to where we were going. Just 4 minutes drive away. Also, it was easy to find the hotel to check in at night. On arrival we were given the wrong room because they mistakenly gave it to someone else. We had to show proof of reservation before they could do anything. They had to relocate that person and prepare our superior twin room that I booked.
- Jacqui (10/5): Great staff, great food, great rooms - Large but very cosy suite. Amazing staff and food Nothing. Was perfect for what we needed
- Quiny79 (10/5): A hidden gem - What a place! Lovely welcome at reception. Great room with the junior suite. Snelled so fresh. Good gorgeous and so fresh. Will be back soon
- julie (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed it, staff very welcoming, food good., - Very homely, full of character. Room lovely Bathroom a bit damaged, water leaked outside the shower onto the floor.
- julie (9/5): Would stay again - Lovely people, kind and caring All good
- Elaine (9/5): - Professional team. Great service. Excellent food and drink. Loved the room (junior suite) - very big and bright. Comfortable bed. Noise from a shower in another room, especially at 5.15am!
Our shower was a little difficult to adjust. Quickly became too hot or cold but managed well enough.
- Therese (10/5): Amazing place to stay and have the crumble it’s delicious! - Amazing stay. Such lovely staff. Room was lovely and food outstanding.
- James (7/5): -
- Anne (8/5): Pleasant - The staff were very nice and friendly. The shower ran a bit hot and cold when in use.
- Jane (9/5): Comfortable and clean - Nice big room. Very comfortable. The shower wasn’t brilliant.
- angelabS5339XT (10/5): Ticked all the boxes for me and a few more - A great Hotel with friendly, efficient staff. Especially Dee who is the "Breakfast lady", her smile and friendly greeting in the morning makes your day😀 The restaurant staff are equally welcoming and make you feel at home. And the food is great, correctly cooked and presented with style.
Love the grounds, and speaking to the Robert the gardener about how he plans the flowers etc to reflect seasons is really informative. And just loved the robot he uses to clean the swimming pool !
A great place to stay and I will be going again soon.
- John (9/5): Second stay, will stay again in May 2026 - Friendly staff, good evening meal choices and excellent breakfast. Bedroom comfortable, bed excellent and shower hot and powerful. Good value with Dinner, bed and breakfast and a drink for under £125 Nothing
- Mandy (9/5): Great stay once again - Always enjoy our stays its great location when visiting family Friendly staff, great location and fabulous breakfast sets us up for the long drive back home
- Amanda (7/5): -
- Ken (8/5): Lovely friendly place with good facilities although a bit 'busy' - Very friendly welcome - all the staff were very friendly - bedroom/bathroom very clean and comfortable - with a (small) bath. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked and friendly staff on hand to help and take our orders. Spent a couple of hours in the bar over drinks to relax after our journey, again the bar staff very friendly and attentive. Overall very pleasant stay. Bedroom was on first floor up a 'narrow' timber stairs. Could hear sound from other guests TV at about 11.30pm and trains passing nearby occasionally sounding horn. It was a very windy night and the youngsters could hear a 'whistling' noise outside their first floor bedroom (maybe a vent terminal/cowl?) through the night.
- Imogen (3/5): - Afternoon tea was lovely, so much food.
Lovely waitress, enjoyable experience We paid for 75+ for our room, we checking in and dropped our bags then went out for a meal. By this point it was late and to late to change rooms. The bathroom was not good. The bath had broken seals and joins/grouting. The grouting was a discoloured, missing, pulling apart. Just didn't look appealing and clean. The shower tap had clearly been moved and changed position due the hole and cracked tiles. Unable to use the bath, you couldn't enjoy yourself as would be staring at the rundown grouting, gaps and discoloured.
On further looking other residents have had the same issue with this room, as described the same. Room facing the carpark, room 6 ect.
The bed was solid. And you can hear everything from your neighbours, bathroom light on, off, on off. When they walked around there room, our floor board moved. Could literally feel the movement from our bed.
Would not recommend stopping

- Jennifer (10/5): - Loved the restaurant The lighting in the bedrooms were not that great unfortunately and there was no TV, but that was OK.

- neil (9/5): All good - All good Convenient clean
- Pučkoriūtė (10/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): Wonderful staff went the extra mile for us and seemed to really enjoy their work. So rare these days - Staff helped us with a very late booking for dinner when we were let down elsewhere! Overall could not fault our stay.
- Susan (8/5): - Friendly staff.Comfortable room very nice breakfast
- Nigel (9/5): -
- Ian (8/5): -
- Robert (8/5): Very decent standard and good vfm - Lovely staff, good breakfast, comfortable room and easy parking Some unfortunate mis communication prior to the arrival day , probably auto message, was irritating and confusing around a late check in
- Paul (9/5): - Excellent as always
- Richard (8/5): - I regularly stay at Badgers Mount when travelling for work in Barwell. This is a an excellent hotel with a good restaurant and a hearty breakfast. The rooms are generous, comfortable and well equipped, and the staff are always friendly. There is plenty of parking too. The room heating wasn't on when I initially got to the room, but it soon heated up fine.
- Donna (10/5): It was a last minute stay over very nice - Breakfast was excellent plenty of choice on offer . Nothing
- meghna paresh (1/5): -
- Taylor (7/5): - Enjoyed the food and bar are was nice Room key played up, if we had to go out for too long wouldve caused issue as room was unlocked. Sorted it in the morning but was a bug bare
- Richard (6/5): Bit tired but good value and nice staff - Pleasant room and well priced and clean. Good WiFi Room felt very tired with old tv, updated shower with old screw holes exposed and new one not fitted well. Bare plaster in some of the corridors
- Julie (9/5): - The food was delicious, staff friendly The room was a little tired
- Sarah (8/5): Nice little retreat - I have stayed here many times before . It’s a lovely apartment . The hot tub is amazing . Things don’t work cannot get Alexa to work , tv Is a little jumpy , stereo doesn’t work . Minor issues that can be fixed .
- gavin (9/5): - Well run and staff was good Nothing
- Ashleigh (9/5): Perfect - Everything Nothing
- Alanjbalan (2/5): So much for the romantic night away - We read some great reviews so booked this for a special night away while visiting family but it turned into a nightmare. We asked for breakfast info when we booked and didn’t receive any. The reception staff said they were busy with an event so hadn’t read the emails (sent 36 hours ago). Then we got to the room we found there was an event on. Music extremely loud and running until midnight. Reception staff just said we “should have been told when we booked”. So much for the romantic night away while visiting 😡

- Nigel (10/5): -
- Sheila (7/5): - Location Bed was very uncomfortable, however the staff tried to improve it with the addition of a mattress topper.
I wasn't aware that they had prepared my account before I had gone to check out at reception. I was charged for a breakfast we did not take. There was no one available to charge back to my credit card. I had hoped that someone would get in touch with me to rectify this. The very kind lady whom I spoke to,did offer to provide something to take away.
- Hazel (8/5): -
- Katherine (7/5): -
- Ian (10/5): Well appointed hotel in quiet location - Fabulous hotel in beautiful countryside. We could not fault the room, service, food or cleanliness.
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- CRISTINA (10/5): Last minute and great. - Very clean, good facilities and lovely staff. Can’t think of anything - and I’m very picky. Ask my husband 😊
- Elaine (9/5): A very good stay. We would stay again. - Th comfortable accommodation, friendly, helpful staff.
Great value for money Narrow turn on staircase would benefit from a hand rail on both sides
- Robert (8/5): Recommended. - Great staff. Plenty of parking. Clean room. The bar was a little expensive.
- Michelle (8/5): Very relaxing and peaceful - My room was beautifully presented with a large bathroom with bath and shower. The view from my room was amazing nothing but nature. All in all a beautiful place to go for some me time The bathroom needs a little up dating but other than that I really did like the property and where it was situated.
- Martin (5/5): At least it didn’t cost the earth for one nights sleep - It was a bed for the night in a convenient location The ‘shouty’ message received in advance about not having breakfast included. The receptionist on arrival who was more concerned about her customer on the phone than the people standing in front of her. The room was not prepared in advance, it was freezing cold with no heating on. An old tissue from a previous occupant had been left which made you wonder about the thoroughness of the cleaning. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable.
- Cameron (9/5): -
- Jeanne (8/5): We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff were all excellent! - The breakfast was excellent. Cooked well and large portions. The staff on both mornings were friendly and attentive. The shower was a little disappointing. Not much water pressure.
- Kiri (8/5): - I was upgraded, which I found out in arrival. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.
- Lynn (8/5): good stay, shame we didn't get chance to try the pool! - friendly staff matresses were of poor quality
- Robert (7/5): - Location Dated room, missing skirting, signs of water leak.
- Tim (8/5): Friendly and welcoming hotel with a good choice of evening meals. - Very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed a drink in the bar and have a good evening in the restaurant. Parking and access was good along with easy to follow road signs The mattress was not very comfortable for me.
- Anthony (10/5): Vehicle breakdown meant we needed overnight accommodation, staff were very considerate and accommodating, food excellen - Staff were very helpful and pleasant. It’s in a good quiet village that also has a nice pub. The meals were well presented and delicious.
- Joanne (10/5): Perfect! Would definitely recommend. - We love it here. Third visit in the field view apartment. The room is beautiful, cosy and clean. The restaurant is amazing next door and staff so friendly. We will be back :-) We love everything.
- Ben (8/5): -
- Munslow (9/5): - Everything! Nothing.⁸
- JoGill1987 (10/5): Amazing, relaxing stay in the field view apartment - Just come back from the most relaxing stay in the field view room. Such a nice place. Sandra was so helpful; before our arrival with the pre call, and when we arrived. She was so friendly, personable and just wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and that we got there safely in the poor weather conditions.
Accomodation is so nice. Really spacious. The bathroom has heated floors which feels amazing and the whole room is just really cosy. The bath is really large. The bedroom area is shut off with a curtain and I had the best night sleep I’ve had in a very long time. Bed is massive and really comfy. Tv in living area and bedroom. Living area very comfortable. Kitchen area spacious and had everything you need. Really big fridge freezer. Coffee machine (although didn’t use this as we aren’t coffee drinkers) but imagine it’s a nice touch for those who are. Nice glasses for Prosecco and wine.
The hot tub is great. So nice and relaxing and completely private. Beautiful views over the fields and sun loungers on the decking too. Free flip flops for use which were fantastic.
We went for afternoon tea and the staff were all so friendly especially the lady who welcomed us in to the restaurant at 1:30 on 10th Jan, but unfortunately I didn’t catch her name.
Feel very lucky to have found this place. We have been 3 times and try to come every Winter.
Check in and out couldn’t be easier.
The swimming pool area looked amazing, although as we visited in January obviously it wasn’t open. I bet it’s brilliant in summer. Outdoor shower and toilets area looks very nice!! I can imagine it being a brilliant place for a wedding and wedding guests would love it. The other rooms from what we could see looked great too.
Can’t wait to rebook!
You can order room service from the restaurants full menu too. Also very spacious if you want to bring your own food to field view apartment.
Thank you for having us. Thank you for being so kind and welcoming too. Hopefully see you again soon!
Some of my photos are from this visit and the other 2 visits in 2025 and 2024.
- Mick bates (10/5): Great stay - Great location and great staff room very spacious and comfy bed food was fantastic went for the black tie gala dinner dance for new years eve
- Cascales Millan (1/5): - nothing The staff at reception in the morning were very friendly, but the elderly woman who served breakfast was the worst. That woman would be better off in a nursing home. It was the worst experience. In the evening, the staff working were normal. The breakfast was rubbish for the exorbitant price; I don't recommend it. The bathroom floor was very dirty, and the lock on the room door was terrible—it didn't fit properly. The location is awful if you don't have a car, and the Wi-Fi information the next day was very poor.

- Lisa (10/5): -
- Helen (9/5): -
- Jillian (7/5): It was good for us, we were having Christmas elsewhere so it was a good overnight stop. - Staff kind and accommodating. Room was warm and welcoming. We were in room 4 and the shower was very poor, controls don't work properly and p[oor arrangement with shower curtains.
