Guest Reviews
- Thomas (7/5): good - did not eat
- Matthew (9/5): Very Clean, Everything Large and Close - Very clean. Handicap rooms are large with table chairs and a recliner (chair). I would have liked to fill my cooler with ice, but signs requested otherwise (might be temporary policy due to the machine).
- August (8/5): Nice place; I'd stay here again. - No problems with wi-fi. Adequate desk space. Good lighting for reading in bed. Bed comfortable. No problems with noise. Owners, who worked at the desk when I checked in and out, were pleasant and friendly. No in-room coffee, and none available in office; no convenience store within easy walking distance, so I couldn't get some without driving.
- Deborah (10/5): Everything I needed and then some - I'd heard about the Little Bear Motel before, and even tried to stay there once on a previous trip through Green River--but it was full. I was glad that my recent road trip for work landed me in Green River again, and that there was a room available. It was larger than I expected. Yes, it's an older motel, and it has been renovated. I really like older motels: no elevators, my car's parked right outside the door to my room, and there's more character. True, no supplied breakfast, but I travel with my own food anyway and there's a fridge and a microwave so that's good. Coffee/tea readily obtained nearby, for a bonus. I'll be hoping for another stop in Green River on another trip, and the luck of a room for me. Water in the shower was hot and plentiful--something I always appreciate. Can't think of anything. Maybe yellow highlighter on the wifi password, which I missed due to road-bleary eyes? I went to the office and was told what it was, but yeah, it was right there in front of me in the room.
- Phyllis (9/5): -
- Gregory (10/5): Great place for the price while traveling I-80 across Wyoming - Quiet location away from I-80 traffic and truck noise.
Friendly and helpful office staff.
Clean comfortable room with everything I needed.
I enjoyed my stay and recommend the Little Bear Motel.
- Lorin (7/5): - It was clean and comfortable! No coffee machine in the room
- Tom (10/5): -
- Deborah (9/5): Clean - Very clean. Welcoming friendly management. Across the street from coffee/café. Some things updated Some things need repair and more updating. A place to refill water bottle would be welcome
- Renee (10/5): - The nicest people in a nice little town.
- DAVID (9/5): Would stay again -
- Wendell (10/5): - We’ll maintained and comfortable
- Patricia (10/5): - very clean and a large bathroom
- suep645 (10/5): Great Place to Stay - I picked Little Bear Motel on reviews from other travelers. Was very nice and even though the bed was a little soft for me I slept well. The room was clean, and the cost was fair. We were even able to get the Packers game on TV. If you need a place to stay you won't be disappointed. Their dog, Ruka, even came out from behind the desk to greet me. He was adorable!!!
- Marilyn (10/5): - Beds were great, room was clean and the air conditioning was quiet.
- louannm638 (10/5): Wonderful motel to stay when passing through. - This motel was so wonderful.. The owners were over the top. Kind, considerate and friendly. The rooms were well decorated and very very clean and comfortable. Cannot express enough how much we enjoyed our quick visit. Would definitely love to return and spend more time in this lovely little town. Thank you for making our stay a memorable part of our long trip across the United States. “LIVE FREE OR DIE”
- Donna (8/5): - Nice people, clean room, nice toiletry products
- Christi (10/5): Definitely will stay here again if we are in the area. - Service was amazing!
- Becky (10/5): - Excellent stay. Highly recommend. No problems here.
- Trevor (10/5): - Maybe in the morning. I’m tired.

- Kelly (10/5): - Great place to stay! Extremely clean and very quite.
- ChongYong (9/5): We have a good sleep for our overnight stop. -
- Michael (10/5): Great Q - After a 500+ mile ride on a Harley in bad weather, Scott made the checkin process very easy and fast. Exactly what any person would want after a long journey.
- Marylyn (10/5): - Lovely gem! Such a homey place. Will definitely come back here whenever traveling through Wyoming. The owners and their dog are wonderful!!
- Gerald (9/5): -
- Mike (10/5): Cool Comfortable Spacious Room - I had an excellent experience getting into a spacious comfortable & cool room after a 450 mile trip on a Harley Davidson.
Definitely staying there again. The staff was very friendly.
- Diane (10/5): - While this is an older motel on the south side of the city, it has been well maintained and remodeled. Scott moved my room so I could be closer to parking. The room was very spacious and included a small fridge and microwave along with a table and chairs. Everything was very clean. The only difficulty I had was in finding the motel. My GPS was confusing. The town is split in two by the rainroad, so you have to go over a bridge just off the highway. Eventually I found a young couple who were able to direct me how to get to the motel.
- William (10/5): - The nicest place I've stayed at in a long time.
- Greene (10/5): - I had a couple of great conversations with the hotel manager. He was very helpful. Rooms were very clean. Bathroom was very large. Great place to stay and a great value. Nothing
- Connie (7/5): Good - It was quiet and restful after a difficult day of travel! In the morning we met a lovely lady who was a member of the staff. She set us off on our next day of travel with a smile.
- Steven (10/5): Awesome stay! - Awesome, friendly staff! Very helpful and caring! The most spacious room I stayed in during my 12-day vacation! Very comfy and it had everything I needed. I'd stay there again if I got out that way.
- Littlered82 (9/5): Superb -
- Shaun (10/5): - Excellent all around.
- 2007st1300 (10/5): Wonderful shower! - Small mom & pop motel. 2 stories; doors on outside. Looks like a typical older motel, but very nice! Bathroom was huge and the shower was amazing! I don’t know that I’ve ever stayed in a place with a better shower & the massive amount of water! Beds felt a little lumpy when we laid down, but immediately went to sleep and slept comfortably all night!
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Tim (9/5): Superb -
- A (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): - This property was quaint, quiet and cute. The owner was friendly and accommodating when we had a late check in. The bathrooms were nice and offer handicap accommodations in the shower. Would stay again.
- Joel (8/5): - Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): I enjoyed staying there and would book a room there again. - Easy to get to, close to the center of town, room was big and clean. I felt safe and the Owners are wonderful. Nothing.
- George (10/5): - Clean, comfortable and quiet. Easy checkin. What more could we ask for...nothing! Will absolutely stay again if we need accommodations in that areas.
- Randy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (10/5): - We smiled as we pulled into the office and saw the friendly face of a Siberian Husky waiting for us. Manager was greet, helping us choose an excellent restaurant only a half mile away.
Room was huge compared to most hotel rooms.
- Jodi (10/5): - Excellent motel. Extremely clean and well kept. Check-in was easy. Would definitely recommend this motel.
- Jim (8/5): - Old school motel. Keys not fobs. Good WiFi.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Good place for old stoners Nothing
- Forrest (8/5): - Although we used this motel due to it's convenient location to the bowling center in Green River, we probably would have stayed at newer place with cheaper rate. Recent surgery has me unable to drive, so the location was perfect.
Room was clean and mostly comfortable(beds a little soft for me). Liked the extra room in the bathroom area. Had an issue at check in where the beds had not been finished and all, but it was immediately resolved. Would have been nice for some type of consideration,(discount, future credit, etc.) we didn't press that issue. Biggest beef was that there was no coffee maker in the room. All in all, as long as reasonable rate is available, we could possibly stay here again in the future.
- eric j balog (10/5): - I rarely do reviews, but I wanted to take a moment to do one this time because I *loved* my stay @ the Little Bear.
In particular, Scott, the owner, and his amazing dog, Ruka (did I spell that right??) were incredible. Had a long conversation with him — it's great to know there are people like him in the world: the best of humanity.
Although it was a short trip, experiencing people like Scott while on the road restores my faith in humanity. I will absolutely stay here once again when I'm back in Green River.
And
- Atwood (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (10/5): - We liked the friendliness of the staff. They were great at coming to the room for any problem we might have had. Cleanliness of the facilities was excellent. Beds are very comfortable for a restful nights sleep. Highly recommend.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Nothing fancy, but room was clean and roomy.
- Quyen (10/5): - The owners were so kind and worked with us to make sure we got our key even though we were coming way after hours. The room itself was nothing fancy, but very clean and a perfect place if you just need to lay your head for a night or two or however many. I honestly feel like the beds were even more comfortable than a fancier hotel. They were the perfect firmness!
- Robert (10/5): - Owner is very nice. Clean room
- jessmB863TY (8/5): Hit the spot! - We were coming from Vernal after camping in Flaming Gorge. Hubby found hotel and it did not disappoint! Cute colors outside- you can see the pride in the small touches and that paint was not faded or chipped
Rooms open out to exterior and Scott picked our room near our rig so that was cool
He assured us tv could show March Madness! Room smelled great as I walked in. Beds were nicely made with blankets under the spread. No hint of smoke! Bathroom was huge! It was a treat to see I loved the artwork and I checked and found a Gideon BIBLE in the nightstand! My husband’s grandparents were Gideons so I look every time.
There were special touches in the room like restaurant options and we had an option to use the grill out back! My parents owned a mom and pop motel when I was a kid in Kentucky! Many great experiences as a child and this motel made me feel nostalgic. Calendar was a nice touch! Thanks for extra pillow on the rack!
- Sarah (10/5): - Loved staying here
Will definitely stay again
- Chris (8/5): - Great little place!
- Kristy (8/5): Older but clean - Place is older but well kept and clean. Staff is friendly. I would stay here again. Happy With our stay.
- Karina (8/5): Real good - Owner very friendly & helpful. Minor item, there was some unusual odor in the room, and may be in the sheets. Just was a little bothersome at times.
- Naomi (8/5): - It was clean and quiet.
- Larry (9/5): Superb -
- Lois (6/5): Pleasant -
- Baker (9/5): Superb - Didn't know there was breakfast First floor. I have bad knees
- Stefanus-1226 (10/5): Big Bear Hug! - Last week I made the random pick of The Little Bear Motel. I needed a few days at the Sweetwater County Museum. When I got to the motel I realized that I had stayed there several times some years ago. The bowling alley and restaurant were a landmark. Scott greeted me and memories came back. As usual, the room smelled fresh, was larger than nearly all motels/hotels. There was a round table with 2 chairs for eating and my paperwork. Recliner for watching TV. The bathroom was larger than average with a grab bar at the stool and 4 in the wonderful shower. Price was certainly agreeable. Friendly watchdog. I took photos of the artwork in the room! Fridge kept my wine chilled. Don Pedro's is a great Mexican restaurant. 1950's Penny's Diner at the northern end of town is great for every meal! 50's music and ambiance. Elvis is due any minute. Green River is a small town and every destination is near The Little Bear. So happy that my memory is now better for next trip! Bed firm and VERY comfortable.
Tim, Salt Lake City.
- Keri (6/5): Just okay, but clean - This place is okay. Just okay. My only real problem was my sink had deep black cracks at the drain, so much so I brushed my teeth with bottled water. Also, there was a sharp moldy rubber smell which I figured out was the plastic no slip bathmat. The owners really need to re-think that. But overall the place was clean and the owners looked like they care are were trying. My room was quiet and comfortable. The microwave needed some attention, though.
- jack (10/5): - Clean quiet and comfortable. Good value!
- Karl (10/5): - Super clean very friendly service 10/10 for me
- Akers (8/5): Very good -

- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- 3 (7/5): Good - An old school property whosemanin charm was how reasonably priced it was for the town No coffee maker
- Verified traveler (10/5): SC - We stayed one night as we were traveling through Green River. The room was clean. Several things have been updated. Check in was friendly and easy. Have stayed there before and will stay again.
- Amadeus (10/5): Amazing facilities, comfy bed, and amazing staff !!!! - The owners of the facility were friendly and courteous. They made my entire family feel welcomed and were just all around amazing !!!! We only got to stay for 2 nights. I wish we could have stayed for our entire trip.
- Cory (10/5): excellent - owner manager very accommodating. clean rooms. for affordable price out side exterior looks like might be a dumpy place but inside comfortable and clean
- Steven (10/5): Good location for a stay. - Great Location. Comfortable beds. The shower is awesome. Clean and improved. This was a last minute booking and we were so glad to find such a clean and comfortable lodging. We will stay here whenever we are in town. I was so glad to see such a great shower at the end of a long day on the road.
- Roger (6/5): - We liked the large rooms and cleanliness. It is in a nice quiet location. Beds were not the most comfortable. Would be nice to have a morning coffee option, either in room or in the lobby. A good place for a short stay.
- angela (10/5): - enjoy every time we stay here
- James (10/5): - Great room, low price, friendly service
- Kerrin (10/5): Unsung gem - I stayed here for a work trip and needed something budget friendly.
10/10 recommend.
I was a late check-in and was so surprised by the extra care from, Scott, who called me to check on my arrival time and also went above and beyond to make sure I had an easy time getting access to my room.
Clean, well maintained rooms.
Heads up to those traveling alone. The locks on the door are minimal. I travel with this manual club-like door lock to ensure safety. Although, I will also note that this area is very quiet and seems safe. This is just an extra personal precaution
- Rex (8/5): - Far enough from the main road to be quiet and clean and well maintained.
- Laura (8/5): - The Little Bear a nice place. Our only concern is the water is extremely hot. Make sure you turn on cold all the way & VERY SLOWLY turn hot water a little at a time. Do not step in shower until you know it is right temperature or you can get in trouble.
- Gary (9/5): It was exactly what we expected based on websites - Very clean and affordable
- Tom (9/5): Clean, recently thoughtfully remodeled, retro vibe. Would definitely stay here again - Recently remodeled, very nicely done Few more hooks and/or some sort of dresser/end table with drawers
- Cerezo (10/5): Exceptional - It was quiet good location
- Rebekah (10/5): - The building is not new, but has been well cared for and looked clean swept and fresh, no cobwebs or piled leaves in the corners the way you often see at older establishments. The room was bigger than anticipated - it had two double beds at one point, but one was removed to make room for a table, chairs, mini-fridge, and microwave. The carpet and flooring looked new and the shower looked like it had recently been redone. The sink was old and cracked, but still serviceable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and worked with us to arrange a late check-in which was much appreciated. Little Bear exceeded my expectations for the price and I would stay there again.
- Dianna (10/5): Exceptional - Very cute comfy place great for the price but no amenities really. Fabulous ice machine No pool
- Deborah (5/5): Passable -
