- Victor (10/5): Abbey - Great hotel in town centre, have been several times before from 2010 to 2015. Hotel has had a complete makeover! Spacious room, comfy bed and good selection of food options for continental breakfast!
- Sara (10/5): Lovely place - Comfortable clean place, it is a lovely town house. Staff are very friendly and supportive. The breakfast was nice. Very close to city centre. I would highly recommend.
- Andrew (10/5): Nice stay at the abbey - Location handy for a number of different nearby places. I parked in the NPC Brewery Car Park for added security which is 15 mins walk away. Bed is comfy and room is nice. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is continental only.

- Anil (4/5): - I was disappointed as the shower in the room was not working properly. The water was either tooo hot and if you turned it down it was stone cold. I couldnt have a proper shower before going for my course. I would have asked for a room swap if I checked the shower at night. I was helpless as I had to leave for my course at 7.45 am

- Anastasia (4/5): Not worth the money - For the price I paid it’s simply not worth it. The place is tired and the breakfast is not note worthy at all with just things from Lidl. The general areas of the hotel as worn and to be honest my daughter was simply spooked by the place. It is a strange place to stay and so many better options for that price in Cheltenham. I won’t stay there again They charge £15 for a dog but don’t give you even a dog bowl for water or anything . Simply nothing No nice little touches. No feeling has gone into this property at all. I can’t fault the staff - they were lovely and helpful

- Judith (10/5): A perfect 3-day trip in the Cotswold - The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and goes out of their way. The cold breakfast is excellent and plentiful and I loved it. The hotel is minutes from the Center and Cheltenham is centrally located for day trips to nearby cities.

The walls had visible marks on walls, the bathroom was small but the bed was very comfortable. The windows didn’t stop noise from the birds/seagulls which seem to hang around behind this location. The garden was nice and the breakfast room was bright and open.

- Alex (6/5): Good hotel, but check the details of your room - The hotel itself was really nice. However I had booked a single room, and I do not feel it was made clear online or during booking that the single room came with a separate bathroom which was across a landing from the room itself. I wouldn't have booked it otherwise. And for the price, that feels unfair. It's described as having a 'private bathroom' which I did not understand to mean 'separate bathroom'. Perhaps I was being naive. However, apart from this the stay was excellent. Fast check in, very welcoming, brilliant breakfast and nicely done room with lovely carpet.

- Susan (8/5): - Greeted upon arrival but no name given, daughter had to ask, out of the 3 people we saw not one introduced themselves. Amelia helped carry bags to our room and ensured we checked in smoothly, on street car parking booked etc and gave us a list of local eateries when asked. First day breakfast was limited (no jams, only 2 slices of white bread left) but everything was clearly labelled and allergens highlighted. Tea tray in our room was not replenished and I asked for more milk in the room as, luckily, my daughter had brought her own teabags. Days 2 and 3 breakfast were much better for availability. Room was clean and a good size (online picture made it look smaller than it actually was), beds were comfortable, bathroom was a decent size. Bedroom was at the rear of the property so not much noise. On street parking was a bit of a problem, lucky to find a space and had to park at the top of the street well away from The Abbey. Surrounding area was a little run down but we used The Abbey as a base for exploring the Cotswolds. Would stay here again

- Graham (10/5): Wonderful - This is a fabulous hotel within walking distance of the city centre. Lovely rooms, very clean and great staff. Parking is in the street but the hotel gives you a voucher and it’s easy. There was a mixup with my car parking and I received a parking ticket but the hotel sorted it out and paid for the ticket without any issues. Wonderful service. 100% recommend. 10/10.

Relaxed atmosphere with a super chill owner / host who is always available to answer any questions and to ensure your stay is the best it could possibly be. Nothing is too much trouble. Ensures that it has the feel and comfort of a real home from home. Delicious breakfast. It was an absolute pleasure from arrival to departure. The room was spot on, cleanliness and COVID restrictions as expected. Dont miss the breakfast! The owners were very busy, but, still made time for a morning chat, and extremely helpful. If i return to Cheltenham, this will be my place to stay.

If you wish to visit Cheltenham but feel a little uncertain about travelling at the moment, I would certainly recommend the service at this hotel.

Great attention to detail, e.g. my room had a seperate bathroom but robe is provided, and just in case its noisy or too light a sleep mask and ear plugs are provided. Lovely breakfast provided. - Deborah (10/5): Walk to Cheltenham ‘s High Street - This was our second stay at The Abbey and this second visit did not disappoint! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Right off they helped us get a parking voucher and we were able to park right out front. The street is very quiet and we slept with the window open to get a nice breeze. The breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely dining room. I appreciated the electric kettle in the room for a cup of tea! I just love the close proximity to the High Street and the promenade. We were able to walk to town any time of the day. We had a suburb time!!
