- David (10/5): A little Gem - We travel to and from Denmark and stay here to facilitate use of the Gluckstadt ferry. The welcome is excellent and the restaurant superb. The continental breakfast is extensive and tasty and a pot of coffee is provided. There are a number of sister hotels too. All in all not one to miss. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed.

- Camilla (8/5): Prisvärt hotell nära centrum - Trevligt hotell nära centrum. Rent och fräscht rum med trevlig personal. Sköna sängar och god frukost som även ingick i priset. Ett mindre kylskåp fanns på rummet. Gratis parkering till bilen precis utanför. Garage fanns för våra cyklar och man kan cykla till centrum på 10 minuter.

- DieMünsteraner (10/5): - Wir sind sehr freundlich und nett empfangen worden! Der Mitarbeiter hat sich viel Zeit genommen, uns alles in Ruhe zu erklären (Wellnessbereich, Frühstückszeiten etc.). Die Sauna (nicht im Zimmerpreis enthalten, aber mit 8,- p. P. auch nicht teuer) wurde extra für uns geheizt, der Bereich war sehr schön und einladend gestaltet. Gutes und umfangreiches Frühstück! Das Hotel hatte ein hervorragendes Hygienekonzept. Klare Weiterempfehlung!

Der er dog det lille men, at sengekant over sengen er noget generende. Værelser en nu til dage indrettet så du bedst kan se tv i sengen, og så var det svært at komme til for sengekanten

Man kände sig mycket välkommen det fanns tofflor till oss på rummet och en värmeflaska för kalla fötter i sängen. Restaurangen som fanns i anslutning till hotellet hade mycket god mat och personalen såg till att vi fick ett bord trots att det var ganska fullt. - 971hansjuergenh (6/5): Typical tourist group hotel offering a great breakfast buffet - My wife and I spent a weekend at this place to explore the picturesque town of Stade. We liked the atmosphere of the hotel and its friendly and very helpful staff. The rooms are kind of small and feature comfortable beds and goodsized bathrooms as well as sufficient parking which is otherwise rare in the town center. Breakfast was opulent and is usually included in the roomrate. In addition to breakfast our hotel arrangement included room and half board (breakfast and groupdinner). While the breakfast buffet was really super, we could have easily done without the groupdinner at the Vier Linden Hotel which was served at the table as a three course meal, soup, meat or fish dish and desert. In fact the medieval center of old town Stade offers many more interesting eating places and restaurants and is quite worthwhile visiting and can be reached by foot within 20 minutes. All in all the hotel is an ok choice for a weekend visit.

- Bernd (8/5): Reise zu einem Fußballspiel - Das Frühstück war sehr gut und das Personal war auch sehr freundlich. Mein Zimmer war sehr gut ausgestattet. Man hatte fast alle Toilettenartikel zur Verfügung. Der einzige Nachteil war , dass das Hotel etwas ausserhalb der Stadt war. Es war zwar ruhig, aber es gab keine Busverbindung in die Stadt und zum Bahnhof aufgrund einer Dauerbaustelle.

- JoeM741 (8/5): Weekend Stopover - Nice quiet location but still within walking distance of the town center. Convenient parking if you're traveling by car as opposed to an in town location. We used this as a base while touring some local villages researching family history. The staff is quiet personable and helpful. Breakfast is typical fare but good quality. The restaurant was good for dinner too. No problems communicating using English and limited high school German vocabulary.

- Edna_M0de (8/5): Pleasant Hotel - We use the Vier Linden on a regular basis when people travel to Stade on business. It is a very pleasant place to stay and is good value. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are helpful and the fact that there is a restaurant at the hotel means that it isn't necessary to head into the centre of Stade. Having said that, the centre of Stade is a wonderful place for restaurants too! Just a short taxi ride away.
- evergreenswing (6/5): Good food, mediocre rooms - The hotel is not exactly centrally located. However, the speedy walker will reach the city centre in less than 15 minutes. Walking is recommended, parking space being scarce. The food at the hotel is good and not pricey. The decor and facilities of the rooms are below average.
- NicolasV1980 (8/5): Clean rooms, very helpful and nice personnel - I stayed over two weeks in the hotel. My room wasn't big, but it was big enough. The bath was nice and the room was very clean. Breakfast was good. The biggest strength of this hotel was the very friendly staff. They make u feel at home and are very helpful. The biggest weakness if the hotel was the internet connection. I had to work and the connection was not so good and relative expensive. Overall it was a good experience and I would go there again.
- ThiloK_11 (8/5): Possibly the best buffet-style breakfast for a long time - I arrived per motor cycle mid afternoon on the 19.9.2011 and stayed for one night because other hotels in the town centre were booked out. I chose the Vier Linden on the suggestion of the local tourist office. The hotel's location is outside the central business district (CBD). However, as I found out later, it only takes 20 minutes with public transport (bus) to get to the CBD and the historic part of the town. Moreover, a bus stop is conveniently located opposite the hotel's main drive way and car park. According to reception, walking to town doesn't take much longer as the bus either. The Hotel Restaurant Vier Linden prides itself with a 3 star rating and after my stay, I fully agree with this classification. My room was in the non-smoking section and of good size. The furnishings were functional but about 20-25 years old. The double bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate. The only real issue I had with the room were two dozen mosquitoes. It took me a good 30 minutes, and a few acrobatics, to eliminate the lot after dark. Needless to say, I had a good sleep thereafter. Example of good service: because my TV was out of order, I was given an 8 Euro discount on the normal room rate of 63 Euro (paid 55 Euros). This room rate included a buffet-style breakfast and wow..... I haven't seen such a fantastic selection of the usual fare of cold cuts, eggs, cereals, jams, dairy products, juices, fresh fruit, different breads, bread rolls and pastries. In addition, even candy and chocolate bars were there for the taking. Parents with kids beware! The previous evening, I had planned to have dinner in the adjacent a la carte restaurant. However, a glance at the menu indicated that it was not cheap. Instead I had a beer on the bar but did not stay long because people were smoking.
