Jason (10/5): Schöne naturnahe Unterkunft in stadtnähe - Echt tolle Unterkunft in stadtnähe :) neben all den Großstadt Hotels gibt hier ein bisschen Natur. Die Zimmer sind top, das Personal echt nett und zuvorkommend. Wir lieben die Lage mit der tollen Aussicht. Haben hier auch noch eine Nacht länger verbracht, da es so schön wär. Können wir wärmstens weiter empfehlen! :)
Esther (7/5): Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt ! - Die Lodge ist sehr schön . Das Frühstück kostet extra . Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Lodge liegt etwas abgelegen . Die Straße ist laut .
Anne (7/5): All in all a good stay - I really loved the lush surroundings and the beautifully decorated space. The bedroom was comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Good location also! While the Zebra Room is beautifully finished, it lacks privacy due to its ground-floor location. The bathroom is positioned directly in front of the hotel’s patio, and the pathway from the parking area runs alongside the room, allowing passersby a clear view inside unless the blinds are fully closed. Although BBQ facilities are available, the additional charge of 350 ZAR solely for providing grill utensils was disappointing.

Bernard (7/5): Beautiful location with limited support. - The location is beautiful and with stunning views. We loved our room, the terrace, the interior and the staff. This felt a bit like renting your own place, rather than a hotel. The service from staff is a bit limited, and communication is difficult. We didn’t feel helped when asking simple questions like airport transfer etc. There is a long sharp flight of stairs to get to the rooms and we travelled with lots of luggage and an infant, and was promised some help to get the luggage up and into the car in the early morning. No one came. We would understand completely if you said no in advance, but to agree something and simply not do it pulls our review score down a bit.

Matthijs (9/5): - Prachtig uitzicht en fijne locatie met een heerlijk zwembad. Echt een aanrader. De desk is tot maximaal 5 uur bemand, waardoor we onze koffers niet achter konden laten op de dag van vertrek. De kamer had airco, maar het bleef erg warm in het slaapgedeelte.

Charlotte (10/5): A piece of heaven so close to Cape Town! - After an 11.5 hour flight from London we arrived into a piece of heaven. My mum's room was actually ready on arrival around 11am so we got changed and sat at the pool for an hour before my room was then ready. The rooms were both huge with ensuite bathrooms. Breakfast is available at an extra charge but we aren't huge breakfast people so didn't bother (you can help yourself to a coffee). There is an honesty bar for beer, wine, cider and soft drinks too. The staff are all really helpful and friendly. You can easily walk to Constantia Glen and Beau Constantia vineyards from the lodge but uber's are easily available as well. We had two nights here and wished we had stayed longer but I have already rebooked for November with a friend and can't wait to visit again then! A perfect stay!

Janine (9/5): Wohlfühlen von Anfang an – gerne wieder - Besonders hervorzuheben ist die tolle Kundenorientierung von Michelle an der Rezeption. Wir waren im sehr großzügigen Nguni-Zimmer mit einem niedlichen Balkon untergebracht. Das Bett war ausgesprochen komfortabel und auch für 1,98 m große Menschen lang genug. Da wir bereits um 3 Uhr morgens auschecken mussten, können wir zum Frühstück leider keine Angaben machen. Die gesamte Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Bei einem nächsten Besuch kommen wir sehr gerne wieder. Die steile und sehr schmale Treppe zum Zimmer ist architektonisch bedingt etwas herausfordernd. Der Kühlschrank war für unser Empfinden etwas laut. Zudem waren am Abend bis kurz vor Mitternacht Geräusche aus dem allgemeinen Livingroom zu hören. Ein dezenter Hinweis auf Ruhezeiten ab 22 Uhr könnte hier hilfreich sein.

Das Zimmer Nguni einen tollen Blick bis zum Meer. Alle Mitarbeiter super freundlich! Es gab nichts zu bemängeln😊 Außer ein bisschen Lärm von den Straßen, die vor und hinter dem Haus verlaufen. Aber da kann das Hotel natürlich auch nichts für. Trotzdem alles top

Our room was a little tired but well equipped ,the bed was comfortable and the room opened out onto to the main decking area with it’s wonderful views. The staff were pleasant but some lacked the skills to give a great service.For example certain foods which run out at the breakfast bar weren’t replaced without constant asking. Some days the rooms weren’t serviced until well into the afternoon.The swimming pool seemed to constantly have the pool cleaner in it.

Alexander (10/5): A truly special place for rest and renewal. - My stay at Ikhaya Safari Lodge was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere of the lodge is calm, authentic, and deeply peaceful — exactly what I needed after a long journey. The lodge has a very special energy: quiet, harmonious, and grounding. The views are absolutely beautiful, and the surrounding nature creates a feeling of space and serenity. The young gentleman at the reception was exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming — his warmth made the arrival especially pleasant. One of the great advantages of this location is its proximity to the starting point of the easier hiking route up Table Mountain, as well as an excellent nearby restaurant. This makes the lodge a perfect base for both rest and light exploration. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, Ikhaya Safari Lodge feels like a place created for true rest, reset, and reconnection with oneself. I wholeheartedly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for peace, comfort, and authentic Cape Town atmosphere. Wishing the owners and staff prosperity, success, and all the best. I would be very happy to return here again. As this is a boutique lodge, services are intentionally minimal — which was part of its charm for me.

Wir konnten direkt von der Unterkunft über Constantia Neck auf den Tafelberg wandern (ist allerdings eine lange Wanderung mit teilweise schmalen wenig begangenen Wegen und sicherlich nicht für jedermann). Unterkunft wirkte teilweise verwaist. Poolbar geschlossen. Wir waren aber auch in der Vorsaison dort. Man muss wissen, dass man außerhalb / oberhalb der Stadt ist und sollte ein Auto haben, oder ist auf das Uber angewiesen.

The lounge, deck and pool area are comfortable with lovely views of forest and vineyards. Nice bedroom with fridge, tea and coffee facilities and nice bath products. A peaceful nights stay away from the city! My room didnt have a nice window view (only a skylight and small window lookong onto car park) but was fine for me and probably the cheapest room you could book, so not an issue!

Her helpers were delightful, and it truly felt like home. Since we had quite a bit of luggage, we asked if we could move to a larger room — and within 15 minutes, everything was arranged. All the rooms are charming and lovingly decorated. The absolute highlight was her adorable dachshund ladies — little Poppy accompanied us everywhere. Käthe herself was incredibly helpful, always quick to respond with useful tips and her warm, welcoming manner. All in all, a truly beautiful stay.

Almaree (10/5): Ikhaya - a hidden gem showcasing Constantia's beauty - Ikhaya is simply stunning. A beautiful lodge with amazing views, so scenic and tranquil but only a short distance from Constantia's best tourist spots. The facilities and rooms were luxurious and the breakfast was delicious, not to mention the friendly staff. Käthe was the perfect hostess, making us feel at home and going out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay - which we certainly did and will definitely be back.

Matthew (10/5): Beautiful place with a safari lodge feel, lovely owner and staff with the potential of babboon spotting. Highly recommen - A special place on the edge of Table Mountain. A very warm and generous welcome from the staff and owner who went beyond to help. Good recommendations for local places to eat in Constantia nearby. Lovely comfy rooms and gardens with a great view! The terrace is a wonderful place to spend some time having a drink and we were even treated to a babboon family interrupting a tennis game and taking residence in the lower gardens for the evening. Only upstaged by the lovely sausage dogs in residence who were super friendly. As a family of 4 and having stayed in Seapoint, boulders bay and Franschoek we wanted to stay somewhere a little different and not go back to busy Cape Town and this was the perfect place. A good base for starting a trek up table mountain (although when we were there it was rather warm and we decided to drive around to the shorter but steeper Platterklip route). Overall a fantastic stay and highly recommended.

Adrian (8/5): Lodge style stay in Constantia - Great value, large self catering room. Was cool to have a tennis court on the property. Host was friendly and breakfast was tasty. A neighbouring property hosted a wedding so we struggled to sleep until 3am but host was apologetic and refunded us 1 night so perhaps a once off issue.
Megan (10/5): Exceptional - I was so impressed by my stay at Ikhaya Safari Lodge. The lodge is immersed in gardens and has beautiful views of vineyards and the mountain. My room was well decorated, comfortable, and clean. Kathe and the staff were kind and accommodating. I felt safe at all times, even as a solo traveler. I would highly recommend this location if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway!
