• Masengo (7/5): It served the purpose for a short stay, but is a bit overpriced. - Good location near airport, quiet environment It seems to be a bit old and some facilities may need replacement. There is also construction ongoing. Facilities like gym and swimming pool were not on site, needed to be ferried to another facility to use them. WIFI was also unstable.

They really need training in the courtesy aspect because the front desk is the first impression point! They just seem to stare you down even in the morning. Greeting is of importance in our dear Africa! The food is good rooms are clean and bed soft. No hot water on my first stay. Can be better

I was able to appreciate the hotel for the proximity to the airport and malls. I pray the construction will be completed speedily for safety and more accessibility.

The staff has a family type of bond with each other and with their guests. They make you feel at home and with all the amenities. Clean, trustworthy, secure, quiet and safe. Excellent service. A detailed review. - I don't at all understand the negative, mixed reviews - I had an excellent stay at Airside Hotel! Here is a detailed review of my one night stay. The location of the hotel is nearby the International airport (5-10 minute drive), which was perfect for me as I was arriving in the evening and departing again in the morning. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle, in both directions, making transit a breeze! The driver was on time and exactly in the stated pick-up point! I was grateful of this service! The airport drop-off the next morning was equally smooth. Staff here are so incredibly welcoming, kind and accommodating. They are extremely responsive to emails, and wanted to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Cynthia and Joyce were a true pleasure to correspond with! I really enjoyed interacting with the staff here. True Ghanian hospitality! The room was large and extremely spacious. Great layout! The room came furnished with a mini fridge, a writing desk, a desk lamp, two bed side tables, a large chair, an electric kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. Other amenities included a bottle of water! Wifi is password protected and the signal is extremely strong in the room and throughout the hotel. Air conditioning in the room was excellent - very good airflow! Also, there were many electrical sockets throughout the room, in good working order, to charge your devices. They were International sockets, so they had inputs for UK, North America and also Europe. The bed was very very comfortable. The bedding was clearly new - a big down comforter with 4 pillows of perfect firmness! I had a wonderful sleep! The bathroom also has been renovated. The toilet was new, and the bathroom came with a large shower/bathtub. I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities offered at this hotel, including a large bath robe, a bath towel, Kleenex, a hand towel, a bar of soap, hand soap, shampoo, body lotion, and a shower cap. I didn't expect this level of amenities for this price point, but I was very happy and appreciative! They really served to make my stay more comfortable! The shower was hot and the water pressure was good enough to do the trick! My only sore spot would be the bathroom sink, mostly just the layout. The tap sits directly under a glass shelf, and so it's really difficult to raise the tap to get water. Lighting in the room was good throughout, and there were many windows in the room, with big screens. There was no mosquito net, but I didn't notice any mosquitos in the room anyway, so this wasn't a problem for me! Breakfast starts early at 6:30am, which is great for transiting passengers! It was nice to refuel before another flight! On offer was coffee, tea, juices, water, yogurt, fresh cut fruits and vegetables, whole apples and bananas, breads with an assortment of jams and spreads, cold cereals with milk, hot dishes including beans, sausages, sautéed vegetables, what looked like bacon to me, little quiches, fried eggs, and boiled eggs. Overall I was impressed with the selection! The hotel has eggs made to order, so I had them make scrambled eggs with veggies for me! The hotel also has a restaurant, and an in room menu. You can order food 24 hours a day. I didn't eat at the restaurant (other than the breakfast buffet), but it looked like a varied menu, offering African, European and North American dishes and drinks. The hotel has a pool, apparently, but I didn't utilize this service nor see it since I was in transit. Overall, I had a really wonderful stay here. The staff and comfort of the room would encourage me to return. It was a very affordable option in the over priced airport district, and I am very happy with my choice of stay!

Showers splashed water onto floor and 1 room didn’t even have a shower curtain. Daily breakfast suppose to be open 6:30-10:00. When we arrived around 9:00 we were told it was closed. Also room service not billed to room- had to pay cash as you ordered. 1 room’s doorknob was falling off.

The staff was courteous and helpful and the restaurant was open conveniently and available twenty four hours for room service too. The food was great. Stairs to the upper levels no elevator but the room was clean as were the bedding and the towels. I would absolutely stay here again should that opportunity arise.

The location is useful for the airport. The breakfast was good and very varied. Poki Bar ( a six mins walk away) is fabulous. The whole place needs a bit of work to make it value for money. The shower could have been better. It is not a good location for attractions but that is balanced out by the fact it is close to the airport.

One nights accommodation required, lovely photographs of an outside restaurant, bar area etc & a deal not to be beaten for this stay. What could ever go wrong. To be blunt, the outside restaurant, bar, seating area has all been demolished with a new part of the hotel currently under construction. Alternatively, you can eat at the tired restaurant on the first floor or sit outside at the sole table also used as a smoking area with a drink & snack purchased from an overpriced fridge at reception. We all understand that upgrades need to be made & this means restricted facilities for a while until construction has finished. But please for now, share news of this & remove photographs of the old facilities to allow customers to choose for themselves whether to stay or not. I will be certainly avoiding this one from now onwards.

• Edward (2/5): Disgusting & Dirty Hotel, not recommended, 1 Star - The fridge wasn’t working & spoiled my food that I bought the night before. Most of my diary products went bad, the power outlet wasn’t working, the water pressure wasn’t good to take shower, the power went off, the hot water tank was leaking, there was no backup generator when there was a black out, customer was poor & anytime I requested a service, they never show up or care that much. The place was too old & disgusting. There was wifi in the room for such hotel & the place was dirty. The bedsheets were dirty & I had to use mine. Also, the online price that I saw was $63 per night, but I was overcharged for $248, which am not happy about that & need a refund for the overcharged amount

• mothergirl (6/5): Good for a Place to Sleep - Good place with a good breakfast. It takes very very long for your ordered food to come and you will just sit in the restaurant with basically no view at all. There is not much to do in the immediate area. If you just need a clean place to sleep then it is okay.

• Frederick (8/5): - Staff are very friendly. Hotel is in good condition. Microwave in rooms would be a good idea. Overall i would recommend it for someone looking for a basic, acceptable and affordable place. This is literally about 5 minutes from the airport
• Leslie (6/5): - WiFi is horrible at this place. The TV doesn’t work either. But the room was clean. Other than that, nothing special.

• Carol (8/5): - The location is close to the airport. The place is simple but clean and has all of the basics covered.
• Adaora (10/5): - The hotel is very near the airport and near the malls. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fresh everyday, with different options daily. Hotel is clean and well taken care of. It is an older property, but they make the best of it. Fast wi-fi available. The free airport shuttle was great too. Unfortunately, I did not get to check out the poop because my stay was short.
