Guest Reviews
- Frenz (4/5): Good enough of one night - soft bed, hot water, quiet neighborhood, no riff raff Bedding with holes, dirty carpet, broken batgroom door fixed with blue painters tape, paying xtra for parking
- Steve (2/5): - Location Smelly room
Tv has no channels
- Sergio (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Steve (2/5): Spent as little time in room as possible - Location
Outdoors looks good Remote checkin
No staff on site
Filthy carpet
Room smelled bad
Furniture broken
No smoke detector
- Jorge (10/5): It’s awesome - Quiet
- Ivana (7/5): - We like the location of this hotel for exploring L.A. also the surrounding of the hotel is ok, Glendale in general feels safe. The hotel room is dated. We stayed here few times already and nothing gets better.
- Biarch (1/5): Disgusting hotel! - Nothing!
No breakfast! Came in 8:30pm, no employees, no one around, bad area, scary. Ring the bell, door opened, start working with AI.
Was so difficult to understand their AI, to communicate, somehow I manage to pay for the parking and I got the key for the room #110. When we walked in, the room was heavy smocked, no air to brith, tried to start the air unit the cover fell of and the quarter inch dust and dirt was exposed. My wife was ready to cry, we wanted to leave because it was disgusting, everywhere was so dirty, the bed, the bathroom, furniture, all-all. We wanted to leave but could not check out because no one was around and their AI was a disaster. We laid down without a shower, with our cloths on, and rash out 8:20am in the morning, never back to this place. I emailed them that we are out and will not be back for our paid second night, please refund not earned amount back to us. We traveled all over the world, never seen hotel like this, sooo dirty, soooooo ugly. Shame, and again shame!!!

- Evans (1/5): Worst Experience - The pool but the hours were awful. You don't have staff on the property. You communicate through a TV screen. My shower head was 4 feet from the ground. I had a refrigerator but not a microwave. I had two doors in my room. One door had a chair infront of it to keep it closed and the main door had a 1 1/2 inch gap between it and the floor. The absolute worst booking I have ever experienced. Stay far away from this place.
- Joseph (9/5): I loved the pool area and clean rooms. - Very clean, and spacious. Easy parking
- pripisnova (5/5): Great location. The room is dirty and outdate. Price is low. - Location is great, close to different cafe and restorants, close to Universal Studio(up to 20 min). The room was dirty: carpet, the door to the bathroom from both sides really dirty, blinds were broken, conditioner with mold. The worse part was that people smoking on the balcony and the smell was in our room(we can't use conditioner so I opened the window, but last night I can't because of the smell. Hopefully, it was fresh at night and I opened only window in the bathroom for fresh air.
- Karina (10/5): -
- Michael (7/5): Certainly serviceable for a short stay, whether business or rest. Not ideal for a family in that the area or video check - Clean, orderly. Decent indoor air control and nice beds. Impersonal video check-in system.
Feels like I’m in a dangerous neighborhood.
- Esteban (6/5): -
- Ivonne (8/5): Our stay was great - We didn't consume breakfast or anything there but our stay was really smooth and nice. The extra $ for parking 👎🏼 I've never experienced that before
- Karen (7/5): -
- Reachmikeb (3/5): - Location. As others mentioned, the kiosk check-in is kind of weird. Staff were nice enough, and price was right, but main issue was reserving non-smoking room and having to switch **three times** to try and get a room.not smelling of cigarettes (didn't work, gave up). Besides that, poor water pressure, outdated rooms, and cable didn't work. Not likely to stay again unless in a pinch.
- Figueroa (10/5): Amazing stay - Everything Love everything
- Evangelina (1/5): Should be banned! - The only thing I liked about this place was that it was not a crowded place to come in and out of, nothing else. I did not like the fact that the check-in is a kiosk. The fees for using the parking lot was not included in the stay and nowhere was it said that there would be a fee for having a vehicle. The room right next door was loud and violent with each other. My kids were scared. Pics are deceiving for sure. Our 2 rooms was dusty, danty, filter filthy, toilet cover missing from double room, chairs were sunken in, carpets full of debris and hair, shutters all broken not. This place could use a total makeover for sure!! DO NOT BOOK HERE! BE AWARE LOCALS HERE THAT ARE NOT IN GREAT CONDITION EITHER! Yes price was convenient for a single mother, but never again. Definitely paying for extra next time! Huge mistake!! First trip with my kids in years and came to a place like this. You get what you pay for. When asked about the rooms that were booked was only told changes were done due to availability no notice needed. When asked about the rooms cleanliness was just told they had been cleaned prior, not true due to the state they were in when checked in.

- belinda (8/5): -
- Renon (7/5): No comment - No comment Carpet
- clarissa (7/5): -
- Marilyn (1/5): Disappointed. - The outside was better than inside looked a lot more cleaner than the rooms inside Smelled disgusting there were stains all over the carpet. It says non/-smoking but smelled like smoke. There were left over things from guest prior to us. Disgusting
- Noelle (6/5): Cheap stay. Get what you pay for - Conveniently located
Small The furniture looked old and dirty
- Monique (9/5): - My only complaints are that I had to pay extra for booking a room past midnight (12:03) and there was no microwave, I can mange without the microwave and now know I need to book before midnight (buyer to have to wait till 3pm though) but I will definitely be returning if I need another room.
- Anastasios (10/5): -
- Marius (7/5): -
- Maribel (1/5): Horrible - It smell really bad and bathroom door not closing blankets were stained and smelly very uncomfortable and then the blinds wouldnt close u can see the inside from the outside
Never again will i stay here I didnt like anything and to pay for parking on top that we booked here nope
- Mauricio (1/5): - Muy mal servicio decrecepcionistas frint desk no good Front desk no good8
- Casanova-Robles (7/5): - Convenient location in a nice little Town in Eagle Rock close to Glendale and Pasadena. The bathroom and room were over all clean but the place is dated and the rug should either be removed or cleaned professionally. They charged $5 for parking I thought that should've been included in the initial cost. Most places don't charge for parking, ice machine was broken, rug looked stained the room smelled a little funny maybe use an odor neutralizer or air freshener. No live person to speak with only a tv prompt
- Oceane (7/5): -
- Steven (9/5): -
- Winston (1/5): - I really like the area in which the motel was in, it was very peaceful and quiet I was extremely surprised that when I had got the room on bookings.com there was no mention that I was going to have to leave $100 security deposit which I'm still waiting to get back, and there was no information stating that I would also have to pay for parking. This experience was a horrible experience because of all of the surprises that came at the end. I do not recommend anyone to stay at "Welcom Inn. 1840 Colorado Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90041"
- Monte (9/5): - La ubicación y la limpieza Que cobran aparcamiento
- Monte (8/5): -
- Steven (9/5): -
- Karen (10/5): Nice and safe neighborhood, - I like the balcony with the table and chairs next to our room, it gave it a cozy home feeling. I also liked that our room was separated from the rest. I did not like how I was charged $15 for 3 nights of stay and my parking ticket was not able to be printed yet no one had a parking ticket which means anyone could have been parking there and those of us who paid were ignored.
- Wendy (8/5): Thank-you - Convenient staff was nice cleaning lady was very helpful . Needs more towels on a two night visit .
- Christian (2/5): -
- Steven (9/5): -
- Zaim (9/5): -
- Jose (8/5): - Balcony and patio TV channels not available
- Roger (10/5): -
- Omar (4/5): Roaches - Location There were roaches on the counter and next to the bed made me uncomfortable had to leave early
- Jennifer (7/5): Great value & location. Room could use a little TLC. - Great, walkable location and comfortable room. Check in was with a machine, through which I had a video call with the Reception staff. It was strange to interact with the person on a screen (& have them issue my card key through the machine). Also, while the room was perfectly comfortable, it was showing quite a few signs of wear and tear.
- Alexander (10/5): -
- Abdulrazaq (10/5): It was to very bad room - Nathing Everything there was no water in the badroom for 2 people one balancak they had
- Casey (10/5): -
- Bryan (3/5): unwelcoming inn, inn need of real staff and a top to bottom renovation - The location, it was in the area i wanted to stay in It is staffed via zoom? you check in on a zoom kiosk inside the lobby. The room was run down, the AC made a crazy noise, the smoke detector was missing, the bathroom window is broken and the hot water lasted about 10 minutes
- Jordan (10/5): -
- Velazquez Munguia (1/5): Horrible - Nothing Horrible experience. The hotel refused to take responsibility for my lost AirPods, which I accidentally left in the room after check-out. The room was cleaned and the AirPods disappeared, even though no one else stayed there.
I called multiple times and was told no one had them, despite the location showing they stayed in the hotel for days and later moved to a private residence and back. The hotel simply denied any responsibility. Terrible service
- Jhon (1/5): They offer prices on this app, and after you pay they send you an email canceling your reservation. Booking.com will tak - They offer prices on this app, and after you pay they send you an email canceling your reservation. Booking.com will take a long time to refund your money, so stay away from this hotel, as you can find many better ones nearby. - Sandro (4/5): Not really worth more than one night. - The location is really good, as the neighborhood has history and character as well as several cafes and unique stores. It's also close to major freeways, and central in the East L.A. area. The hotel faces Eagle Rock blvd, with heavy traffic and lots of noise. The room was sparsely furnished, without desk, side bed or floor lamp. The carpet old and stained. The bed was very uncomfortable. There was not even a basic coffee machine in the room. They charge $5/night for parking on the premises, kind of unexpected for a motel. Check-in and check out were through a vendor machine with a video chat; you could call it efficient, but it was impersonal, and honestly made me feel nobody was there to care.
- Blair (1/5): -
- Kelly (1/5): Friggin awful! - Location was fine. Easy to get around to places. The room was terrible! The towels looked like you dried you cars off with them, they were ripped and old. I asked for a wash cloth for my face and got a microfiber cleaning cloth!!!
The floor had dips in it and was uneven. No outlets in the bathroom and there was mold! The bed had no comforter on it just a thin blanket. TV remote didn't work only one channel worked. I'm a person who never complains, but this was bad.
- Valeria (9/5): No sé si volveria. - Buena ubicación. El cuarto no olía a limpio. La mesa estaba sucia. Las sabanas no olían bien.

- maria (10/5): - Very good stuff and personal experience They ask fora 200 dlls deposit for the room and 22 dlls gor an extra deposit and also 7 dlls for the parking at check in time and that makes up the price for night 300 dlls at night that's a lot for the area is it at.
No microwave
Tv too small
Remote didn't work 😕
- Harvey (6/5): Fair price & exactly where I needed to be. Might consider staying again on my next visit. - Location & exterior decor. No washcloths, microwave or coffee. Outlets out of reach & no desk/chair for computer work.
- Donath (3/5): Dirty and rundown rooms - Location Room was dirty, furniture and decor was very old. There was a cockroach in my room :/ also no outlets in the bathroom or even hand towels
The blinds were all broken except one set, couldn’t wait to get out of there
- Maurizio (6/5): Essenziale. - Piscina e parte esteriore carine.
- John (6/5): Overall, pleasant. - Veranda Room carpet/ furniture seemed very used and outdated.
- Kristine (6/5): - Blanket had a big burn hole in it, bathroom door wouldn't shut. A bit Run down but good price and staff was friendly enough.
- Amy (4/5): - From the exterior, although an older motel, it looked pretty well maintained. Staff were kind and helpful. Biggest issue- the smell, like mold. It wasn’t the kind of room I could relax, unwind or eat in. Also, no coffee, or single hanger or anything really. Parking is tight and $5. My room was dark, dingy and I think between the AC and carpet, it needed to be replaced. I got what I paid for and will never stay again.
- Paul (8/5): - Clean room, friendly staff and located in a nice area. AC didn't work great but did its job. Ice machine and vending machine not working during my stay unfortunately. Overall a good experience
- john (2/5): - advise clients that dates aren't available when they book. Do not allow outside software to attempt to book unavailable dates.
- paul (4/5): - Problem was handled by manager in the morning.
- Ashley (2/5): - This hotel was full of roaches and it smelled horrible. I couldn’t stay the night which is horrible because I got this play to sleep after our trip to universal studios horror nights. This was our fourth year booking a hotel here and we are very dissatisfied with how dirty this place was and how rude their employees are. We tried to get a solution and the woman just kept repeating that the manager was not available and that there was nothing we can do but just sleep there. That is a hazard I do not want roaches in my belongings or on me and I do not want to be smelling rancid smells. I have more pictures of the roaches on my boyfriends phone. They haven’t even returned my money and I left that place at 3 am.
- Casey (10/5): Comfortable and easy - Location and pool view Didn’t swim
- Casey (10/5): - Accommodations Really unrelated ..
- Paul (6/5): - If Eagle Rock is your destination, then this hotel is a good location. If you book here, you will need a car- and this hotel charges extra for parking- a first for me in this kind of hotel. The place is nothing special even among cheap hotels. You can walk to shops and food though.
- Aaron (10/5): - The property has a really cool machine check in where you talk with a very friendly staff member. It was very enjoyable and they were very friendly and super helpful and understanding. Way better then the reviews or what I expected. A great hotel.
- Massimiliano (2/5): - There where roaches
- Bill (4/5): - Bed was comfortable, however, room was not as described over the phone. Separate room with 2nd bed did not have a separating door as was told. Only 2 small bath towels, no hand towels, no microwave, window slats were all broken. Area was quiet at least
- Divyang (4/5): - Price was good but hotel room smelled really bad. We could hardly breath in room but still managed to get the night out. Towels were torn and bad , bad was okay. Condition is really bad.
- Yuri (10/5): - budget friendly, well organized, parking, shops and food in walking distance
- Jacklyn (8/5): - Great bang for the buck. Carpets look dirty. Lots of restaurants nesrby, library and Eagle Rock Plaza w/Target a mile away. Parking $5/day.
- Kayla (6/5): - Do not like that there was a kiosk and no person. My room wasn't ready to an hour surest checkin time and the place was not busy.... very small room, but clean
- Brian (10/5): - Really enjoyed my stay.
- Noel (8/5): - Shower pressure is very good.
- Mario (4/5): - I liked the outside patio & the patio furniture.
I didn’t like the fact that our room smelled bad of marijuana (the room was supposed to be smoke free). We had to leave the door & windows open to air our the room. I also didn’t like the fact that there wasn’t a “real” person on site. We needed extra towels. Also, the stay was supposed to be “all fees” included & then had to pay a parking fee!
- Fernandez (6/5): - La ubicacion Las alfombras sucias con mucho olor, te daban dos toallas y un shampoo super chiquito que alcanzo para un baño, estadia de 5 dias, no había nadie para reclamar solo una maquina.
- Robert (6/5): - Get what you pay for. Over all an okay stay. Convenient to a lot of local dining establishments. Amenities were okay. No microwave and carpet was in poor condition but no holes. Not enough towels provided
