- Jill (5/5): Very disappointed - expected better - The location was very good - so near to the experiences, museums & the one & only supermarket. The couple managing the motel were very nice & helpful. The restaurant was closed, the wardrobe was ridiculously small, we had several power cuts due to faulty socket, a number of lights weren’t working, the door needed a shoulder to open it & the room needs a refurbishment - carpet was worn, a patch on the wall that hadn’t been painted & the freezer compartment in the fridge didn’t freeze!

- Kate (10/5): Would definitely recommend. - Very clean, tidy and welcoming. Comfortable beds and air con worked a treat. We stayed to attend a football carnival. They were very accommodating keeping the laundry open so I could wash team jerseys at the end of a hot and dirty day.

- Linda (3/5): Room nice but facilities disappointing. - The room was like an oven when we arrived and never cooled down throughout the night despite having the AC blasting needless to say our sleep was terrible after an 11 hour drive then back up early for another 8 hour drive. A bit disappointing. I would have expected the staff to turn the AC on prior to our arrival as they would have known this would be a problem. The hot room and the AC that didn't have enough power to cool.

- Helen (4/5): Our visit to Charleville was good, but we won't be staying at The Rocks again. - The motel is in a good location, very close to the railway station and the Bilby experience next door to that. It is near the main highway but is still quiet. The bathroom & toilet space was very spacious. It was handy to a service station over the road and near a local supermarket. We would like to have had a fridge (a bar fridge) that worked properly. When we entered our room it seems to have been just turned on and it was only at room temperature. It did not cool down properly until the next day. I pulled it out from its enclosed space to let the heat escape from the outside top of the fridge. This meant the room which was pretty small became more cramped. The staff were a bit difficult to convince of the problem; they advised that other tenants tended to turn the fridge off because it was noisy, which it was. First we asked if we could be moved to another room but they said they were fully booked. (There were many empty car places overnight, but maybe a lot of people came in late on a ghost train). However at our suggestion they did go and buy a small esky and some ice so we could keep our drinks and some food cool. Unfortunately we did have to throw out some meat & salad. We also asked for a reduction in the price which was $209 per night. This was refused.

There were stains on one of the doonas. The cleanliness was super disappointing and makes me second guess if anything at all was clean.
