• Michael (10/5): Perfekter Aufenthalt ausserhalb Christchurch! - Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in der Silverstream Lodge. Liegt knapp 10 Minuten Auto-Distanz von Lincoln entfernt, in einem traumhaften Park. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück.

• Jiasheng (10/5): As good as lambs in New Zealand - Choose it without hesitaion plz. It is a fantastic experience. The owners are full of passion and kindness during our stay and helps a lot about our journey & schedule the breakfirst time . The garden and the local dedicates (lambs) are marvelous , and the hosts are so willing to share & hear & care . That's why it is not only an accommodations but also a wonderful experience to show the New Zealand hospitaility. Ps:The dog is really really really sweet.

• Timothy (10/5): Exceptional - We flew into Christchurch as we wanted to start our NZ adventure on the South Island. We arrived in the morning and Cathy & Grant let us check in early. Once settled, they suggested some ideas for that afternoon as well as several options for lunch & dinner . All of there recommendations were great. The location of the lodge is in a peaceful garden with a stream flowing through the back yard. We had a great night’s sleep as it has to be one of the quietest places in New Zealand. We spent the next day in Christchurch and a second peaceful night of sleep and we were well on our way to time zone adjustment and ready to explore more of the South Island. Thanks Cathy & Grant

• Xinyun (10/5): Amazing - The garden is impressive. The room is very lovely. There are many details in the room we can feel that they really try to ensure every guest get good rest. Because our stay is also the first day of Chinese New Year, the hostess made us the traditional Chinese cookies. We all really enjoy them, especially my father. We also have a very hearty dinner. We really appreciate their host, which makes our last stay in New Zealand memorable. If we come back to New Zealand, we will definitely visit them again. BTW, their bulldog Pluto is so lovely, will definitely miss her as well. NA

• Ellen (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved our stay. We were able to bring our wee 3yr old King Charles Cavvie, and she was greeted and welcomed by the beautiful owners. We were made feel like we were coming home. The views, the conversation over a wonderful cooked breakfast, the attention to detail on every level. We have stayed in many an Airbnb, and this was like nothing we have ever experienced on a hospitality level... and that is saying something. The beautiful grounds and home are a credit to the owners, Do yourself a favourif your unsure....just book it, stay and you wont regret. Also, we ate dinner at the local The Laboratory , the staff, the service, the food, the atmosphere, also felt like we were home among family and friends. Nadda, not a thing. Oh, maybe one, would love to have stayed longer and more great conversation with the Owners.... Some people you just hit it off with, they are a gorgeous, warm, welcoming genuine couple.
• Jacqui (10/5): Beautiful property set close to Lincoln with lovely hosts and amazing breakfast provided. - The lodge was beautiful. Kathy and Grant were such lovely hosts. The breakfast was amazing and the care of the hosts was second to none. Would highly recommend and we would love to stay again. The weather was amazing (30 degrees most days). We were there for a cricket tournament and when we came back to the property at night there was no air conditioning or fans for the rooms. It’s not a major problem though. It’s probably a nice to have.

• Richard (9/5): Lovely restful escape. Great value - Wonderful hosts. Very peaceful setting. Immaculate room you can request dinner ahead of time. You will get a really good home cooked nz meal. We had an excellent roast lamb dinner. Restaurants are only 6 minutes away. It is a little out of the way but that is what gives it the restful country escape.

• Rochelle (10/5): Exceptional - The spacious luxurious home in the most idyllic setting next to a stream with swans and ducks. The room had a balcony looking out onto lawn and a beautiful stand of trees, the only noise were birds. The hosts were amazing, helpful and friendly. They brought us coffee when they saw us sitting at the table by the stream. Food was homegrown and cooked from their garden and farm. Will definitely return!

Yet only 30mins drive from center of Christchurch. Other towns and places of Interest all In easy reach by car. We have done a lot of travelling in Nz and this is one of the best. The hosts are lovely very helpful and friendly . If we get a chance to be back near Christchurch again this is where we will be staying. Absolutely nothing whatsoever.

• Patricia (10/5): Spectacular location when you prefer someplace quiet in a gorgeous setting with the perfect hosts! - This is such a peaceful location outside of Christchurch. Neither of us are city people and light sleepers so having such a quiet spectacular place to lay our heads was perfect for us. We loved to go into Christchurch and explore the city and it was an easy drive. The Queens Botanical Garden was our favorite. Then, it was wonderful to come back to the gorgeous Silverstream Lodge and sit by the creek. A five minute drive into Lincoln offers lots of restaurant options. Fun to watch/listen to the birds in the aviary. The beds were so comfy and bathroom was great. We had homemade cookies in our room when we arrived and the full breakfast was yummy. The Wi-Fi has been upgraded to Skylink so it is reliable and fast, this was certainly not true other places we stayed .Kathy and Grant were such great hosts and having Gretel (their dog) come up to greet us, helped us get over missing our two. She was so cute and so well behaved. This place was 1/2 hour out of the city but for us that is exactly why we chose it and we certainly were not disappointed. Absolutely nothing!

Amazing gardens and views. The room/house feels modern and stylish, spacious and even a balcony. I arrived at night and woke in the morning to great views and baby rabbits on the lawn and swans in the river. I was travelling alone but felt safe and the property has security gates at the entrance. Short extension cord could be added for the kettle in room kitchenette and I didn't have much luck with the WIFI but this wasn't really an issue as I was offsite most of the time and there did appear to be a Starlink option if needed.

• Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Silverstream Lodge was a gorgeous location. Beautiful gardens perfect for children to run around but also so tranquil. The children loved feeding the ducks and swans and playing with Gretel the friendliest dog. The rooms are so lovely, clean and have views of the gardens. The home made breakfasts are so big and full of surprises to keep you going all day . The highlight are the wonderful hosts Kathy and Grant, such lovely people always ready to help and make your stay the best it can be. I guarantee you will not be disappointed

They went out of their way to make sure my stay was relaxing and comfortable and even provided transport to and from the event I was attending which meant I could enjoy myself stress free. The House itself and property was beautiful and very peaceful. The room was huge, very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities I needed for my stay. They also provided a delicious breakfast in the morning. 10 out of 10 will recommend to everyone. Thank you so much! That I had only booked for one night!

• Trisha (10/5): Best B&B! great breakfast! thanks for the wonderful stay - This B&B was the best one we’ve stayed in. the place is clean and comfortable. the property is absolutely beautiful and very serene. the host Kathy was great and friendly. their dog was super cute too lol. almost nothing. the towels smelled a bit mildewed but other than that everything was great!

The garden is also beautiful and overall a great place to take a break There are some mosquitoes at night as it is summer time, would be good if the room comes with bug repellent.
