Guest Reviews
- Vu (1/5): Normal - No The owner did not provide the invoice event I asked! He told me to ask Booking ask I booked through them.
- Gregory (10/5): Had a great stay - excellent location . Quiet . Clean , spacious, practical . Comfortable bed. Wonderful birdlife. Proximity to Innes National park. nil
- Rajwinder (7/5): Good - Perfect location Only 2 milk sachet for 4 people who are staying for 2 night. Not enough at all.
Would have been better providing a body wash instead of shampoo.
Otherwise..all good

- Pujan Jung (6/5): A comfortable and well-equipped stay in a great remote location, but let down by some cleanliness and attention-to-detai - Overall, it’s a decent place—especially considering the remote wilderness location. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you might need, the living space is comfortable, and the hot shower was great after a long day out. We also didn’t end up using the outdoor BBQ as it seemed a bit greasy, but it’s still a nice option to have available. There are a few areas that could really be improved. Basic toiletries like shower gel and shampoo would have been a simple but appreciated addition. More importantly, the cleanliness of the bedding was concerning—the quilt cover and pillowcases didn’t seem freshly washed and had hair on them. There was also a noticeable clump of red hair in the shower enclosure, which wasn’t pleasant to see on arrival. Additionally, the coffee sachets provided were expired by two years, which felt quite careless.
Despite these issues, we still had a good time during our stay and enjoyed the overall experience. Hopefully, the property takes this feedback on board to improve for future guests.

- Jorge (8/5): - A necessidade de ter de pagar por lençóis e toalhas.
Paguei os 15 dólares e quando cheguei tinha a cama por fazer.
Quem viaja do estrangeiro não vem com esse tipo de bagagem.

- Karel (7/5): - Location. Spacious and airy accommodation. Responsiveness and helpfulness of the host. The place could be cleaner. Paying extra for bedsheets is unnecessary. It should be included in the rent. The equipment of the kitchen is quite basic and knives very blunt.

- Timothy (7/5): -
- Raul (8/5): -
- Antony (6/5): It's okay, but outdated and facilities and villa appear uncared for. - Location is good. Place feels like it is not cared for. No oven to cook only stove Microwave and found BBQ was dirty. Cups were stained.
- Emeline (7/5): - The accommodation was well located and easy access. The accommodation could benefit from a full refresh. The appliances (especially kettle) were old and though still working, had visibly past its shelf life.
The overall look of the place felt very old and run down, despite the recent floor renovation (floor board cardboards still under beds).
- Yukesh (7/5): - Decent sized house, lots of space. Close to the national park. Beds were bit too comfy. Spring mattress was nit easy to sleep on.
- Robert Foskett (8/5): - Location was great beautiful part of Australia accommodation had everything we needed
- Deborah (10/5): Lovely, clean and peaceful. - Peaceful and private. The blinds in the lounge kept falling off their hangers! Plus there was no potato masher or tin opener in the kitchen.
- Jean (9/5): - Clean, comfortable, cosy and cool! 🙂 Needs some art on the wall 🙂
Needs clothes hooks in bathroom.
Toilet seat needs fixing.
- Diane (7/5): Has potential to be great, but cleanliness was disappointing - That it was in a good location That it wasn’t clean, there was poop on the stove top, I believe rat, however the maintenance stated it was possum. When I googled the difference and ChatGPTed it, it looked more like rat poop. Regardless, that is unhygienic and when I informed the manager he said that’s okay it’s just possum poop. Also, the accommodation was dusty, bathroom appeared to have mould, was disappointing

- Sophie (9/5): Relaxing, easy and comfortable stay. Great value for money - The villas were well set out for our large group of two families. The beds were very comfortable and hot water and water pressure was excellent - great for those days washing off all the sand from the beach trips. The villas are well located, walking distance to the beach, jetty, general store and tavern. Smooth check-in. No oven (but explained in the booking) and the BBQ wasn't great. We had planned a few meals using the bbq and we couldn't due to the very low flame and old condition of the bbq.
- Caleb (10/5): -
- Scott (10/5): Had a great stay. Would definitely stay at Marion Vay Holiday Villas again - Spacious room, tidy with everything needed for a relaxing holiday Needed a soap holder in the shower cubicle.
- Guest (8/5): Met our expectations, - Property was very clean and we were pleasantly surprised how spacious the villa was. Property could be improved with a general update and more specifically the bathroom

- Dr Lizze Reid (9/5): -
- Jasmin (7/5): - Die Unterkunft war ok. Viel Platz. Dusche etwas undicht.
- PAM (8/5): - Location was good, nice outlook overgarden. Extra charge for linen should be included in price.Bathroom huge for disabled access but no safety rails for shower or toilet.
- Catherine (10/5): -
- Ashleigh (10/5): Loved it and will be coming again! Thankyou - Perfect little family get away Not enough sugar for my tea… and shampoo and conditioner. Hand soap was weird..
- Dean H W (8/5): Very enjoyable - Plenty of space and quiet location. My own fault because I didn't read the description properly, but if you don't bring your own sheets and towels you have to order them and pay $15 for each bed.
- Andres (8/5): Easy access and convenient for a trip to Yorke peninsula. - I liked the free parking just outside the villa, the wide living room, and the backyard. Also, I love the wifi as it was really fast and easy to connect. Some utensils were a bit dirty and the floor emits a sound when we step it. The TV was a bit old. Apart of that, all good.
- KeithTM (8/5): - Large bathroom. Ample size rooms and good location.
- Anup (4/5): - Location The cleanliness, beds were creaking, the mattresses and pillows were uncomfortable, the linen and towels were of poor quality, the bathroom was dirty, microwave didn't work properly.
- Guru (10/5): - Nice villas
Beautiful location
Friendly helpful staff.
- Phillip (6/5): -
- Roger (10/5): - Convenient location to beach and Tavern Nil
- Lisa (7/5): - Well located
- Tim (10/5): Overall a great stay in a great location - easy access to Inness NP, and surrounds! Thanks Brett! - villa facilities, bedrooms & beds, cooking options were good. Check in/out easy as. Great free Wi-fi thankyou! I would suggest more cutlery is needed. I think the TV remote was missing as we had to turn it on and off at the TV itself.
- Teresa (8/5): - The villa was really good safe place i can say Only the bed everytime we move its making a noise.
- Jessica (8/5): We will be back - Location, clean, tidy, value for money No oven
- SuJaAld (8/5): - Spacious and comfortable apartment. Easy contact with helpful host. No shower screen in bathroom leading to a flood of water throughout the bathroom after anyone had a shower. Extra cost of $15 for bed linen and towels to be provided. No laundry facilities.
- Suman (7/5): Worth of money, easy location and big and nice room for couple - Convenient and value for money Sitting couch was dirty
- Xiao (8/5): - 环境
- Andrew (10/5): - Nice comfortable villa, everything you need.
- Leticia (8/5): - Very tidy property in a great location, short drive to the jetty for fishing and to Dhilba Guuranda/Innes National Park.
- stan (7/5): Parks and ocean - Nice comfortable spot, only problem was places to eat. The pub was great, but the general store, not so much.
- Mehar (9/5): -
- Samuel (8/5): Very good -
- R (8/5): Great Villa - Great place to stay if you wish to explore the national park. Property has all the amenities you need. Brett was quick in his communications. Villa was spacious, clean and tidy and parking was easy. Bed sheets and towels are not provided but can be arranged for additional fee. There were no coffee/tea, shampoo provided when we checked in but Brett was quick to deliver them on the same day.
- Wenxin (9/5): Will come back for next summer! - Pretty lovely spot that I stayed 2 nights with my partner. Convenience spot to the beach. The only thing should improve is the heater/air condition. Noisy but not a big matter.
- Tracy (7/5): Pleasant stay - The bed was very comfy, and the size of the villa was larger than expected. I would love to see a bin in the bathroom and a salad bowl in the kitchen. I also would have appreciated the bed being made seeing i had to pay for the linen.
- Barbara (8/5): it suited our requirements. - Close to the national park
- Grimm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheryl (7/5): Good -
- Bradley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Md (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (7/5): Good - Overall clean, comfortable place to stay, with a nice hot shower, good for a fishing stop-over. We were thankful for the sheets etc and the beds were quite comfy. It has a good size fridge & freezer and plenty of cupboards. Enjoyed our stay, It just needs a little tender love & care. There was no staff at the premises to go to with issues, only a phone number. We did find that the stovetop cooked very slow and the microwave too - needs an update along with the frying pan. (Luckily we had purchased a new one prior). There was also no peeler in the drawer so we had to do the vegetables with a knife. The exhaust fan in the kitchen needs to be looked at - made an incredible noise when turned on. Not sure if the actual TV works or if it is just for DVDs as we didn't take any and couldn't operate the remote without instructions so ended up not using it. There were no board games etc as it stated in the advertisement but we had our own cards.
- Brijen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (7/5): Overall the stay was pleasurable. - Nice and spacious. Close to the national park and the shop. The mattress was very soft. The bbq facility is a bit outdated and not that clean. The units don't have an oven so we brought our airfryer.
- Laura (10/5): Perfect for a weekend away. - Great location! We had a great time exploring the national park and Marion bay. The property had all the basics we needed and was neat, clean and tidy. Brett’s communication was excellent and it was a great stay. Not a huge issue and it was probably a good thing but the wifi did not work.
- Peter (1/5): Overall, it felt like a complete rip-off. - The kitchen. the unit was not handed over properly. The floor was full of sand, and I had to sweep the entire place myself, there was beer bottle in the unit without disposing it! — I have a video as evidence. Despite paying $350, the unit was poorly maintained, the bed was unclean, and the location was isolated with no nearby food options. Please refund half of my money as I had to clean the unit prior to check-in.
- Daljit (7/5): Budget family villa is a good value for money. - Location and the ease of checking in. Close to beach and the local attractions. Enough prior information was provided regarding the property. The exhaust fan was too noisy and we couldn’t use it because of this reason. The electric frying pan provided didn’t work. But these were minor irritants. All in all very good experience.
- Tarmizi (9/5): This accommodation exceeded expectations, great value! - The accommodation offers complete facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen, spacious living area, Wi-Fi, and a private parking space. It is very convenient for both short and long stays.
- Ashish (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay and the things we didn’t like were only very minor and didn’t impact our stay massively. - The location of the property was fantastic right by the beach and really close to local amenities such as gas station and a local restaurant. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom facilities were new and up to date with good shower pressure. Some of the plates in the cupboard had water in them when we went to use them and could maybe have just done with a bit more of a clean around windows.
- Gavin (9/5): Superb -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natasha (9/5): Superb -
- Glazebrook (7/5): Good -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Peter (8/5): Would recommend if considering Marion Bay. Great National Park - Great location for visiting the NP and easy walk to local beach. Plenty of room, quiet area. Noisy a/c, uncomfortable outdoor furniture, wifi could be better
- Rodrigo (8/5): Very good -
- Ido (9/5): Superb -
- Kimberly (10/5): Great stay at a great location! - Amazing property with everything you need inside the cabin!
- Diane (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Inge (9/5): Great place to stay in Marion Bay! - Great, affordable and comfortable accommodation very close to the beach. Loved that it was quite spacious with 2 bedrooms and a verandah. Communication in advance on check-in procedure and what was in the villa was quite clear. Great place for a beach getaway! Shower leaked a bit into the bathroom. Kids room could have a better black-out blind. Otherwise great!
- Milan (9/5): Superb -
- Wantong (10/5): - this is beautiful place to stay, land managers are very friendly and contactable. Renovation has been done. Very nice, will go back again!!
