The crystal suite we stayed in was extremely spacious, tastefully appointed, and the ensuite was impressive too, especially the shower. Would stay here again and highly recommend to others.

- August (9/5): We felt very at home, and loved walking straight out into lovely Ford street and its shops - The breakfast was excellent, made to order by our host, and served in the charming Victorian dining room. We also enjoyed the beautiful outdoor area and full sized pool and spa. Heidi is a lovely host and can’t do enough to make you comfortable. We did find the victoriana a bit cluttered and would have appreciated less ornamentation and more space.

They have won Best Bed and Breakfast in Australia and a well deserved award. Their attention detail is unbelievable! The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The whole house is spotless, warm and welcoming as are the host and hostess. We had a wonderful time in Beechworth highly recommend lunch at Browne Brothers then a quiet evening at a roaring fire on the lounge room. Our other guests were lovely also, many are return visitors, which says everything. Beechworth owes much to those that provide extraordinary quality of service at affordable prices. Did I mention the many different rooms and breakfasts. My wife and I were stunned a birthday surprise was given to her- thank you Freeman on Ford for our wonderful experience! There was little I disliked apart from leaving.

- David (10/5): Relaxing, luxurious yet homely and inviting. A very special treat. - Bee Bee who greeted us was very welcoming and served a lovely afternoon tea. She took great care to ensure we had everything we needed and also cooked a delightful breakfast the next morning. The venue exceeded all our expectations and we certainly hope to visit again one day. Booking two nights instead of one !!
- Lisa (10/5): 10/10 - So relaxing and friendly and we felt like we were in Italy. Such a lovely break. The ambience, the pool and outdoor area, and most of all the hosts Heidi and Jim made our stay so special. Breakfast was fabulous and served in such style you felt so special. Well done ! We haven’t experienced anything quite like this in the country. Amazing. If you want a truly relaxing experience in the country this is for you. Thank you. Also so many returning customers we met says it all.

- Sandra (10/5): An oasis in the heart of Beechworth - Heidi and Jim were very welcoming. Parking is onsite. The pool area was fantastic and it was lovely to swim and cool down on the hot days. As well as the yummy breakfasts, cake and coffee were on offer in the afternoon and port and chocolate in the evening. The location is excellent - walking distance to many attractions including the town centre, the gaol and the museum. The bed in the room we booked was not to our liking but this didnt detract from our stay. We would definitely return and look forward to spending time in one of the two rooms that look out to the pool area.

- Charles (10/5): Freeman on Ford - Best in Beechworth - Heidi and Jim's warm welcome made us feel 'at home' immediately. The staff were equally friendly and warm. Our room (6) was magnificent, spacious and comfortable as was the rest of the property. We really relaxed at Freeman on Ford. It will be our choice next time we come to Beechworth. Our stay was too short!

- George (10/5): A pleasant three day getaway with my wife. - From our first meeting with our host Jim through to our departure, our stay was great. Both of our host Heidi and Jim made us feel very welcome, similar or akin of being a close friend. They also provided us with relevant information in regards to Beechworth and surrounds, especially as this was our first trip to Beechworth. I would definetly recommend tge Freeman on Ford to any of our friends and hopefully we will return. Nothing

- Alison (9/5): Had a wonderful time. - I liked the restoration of the building. The breakfast was fab and personalised, extra fab. Morning and afternoon tea were a bonus along with the port and the chocolates. Loved that the bed was king sized. The room was small but had everything you need. The stairs were steep.
- Garth (10/5): A delightful, comfortable and relaxing place, in a great location. Amongst the very best! - An amazing experience. The owner Heidi was a wonderful host. The deluxe rooms with a pool view that we had were excellent. They were comfortable, fully equipped, quiet and relaxing, with a patio that looked out on the pool and a nice area. The pool looked good, but it was too cold (still early spring) to use. The breakfast was equally excellent. The location in the center of Beechworth was ideal. There was very convenient safe off-street covered parking. The common lounge area was comfortable with coffee/tea facilities. A great find. Nothing negative. It was one of the best properties that my friend and I have ever stayed at.

Very comfortable beds and the hosts are very friendly and can give you lots of information about the area. Delicious home cooked breakfast. It’s the little touches that make this such a lovely stay

- Philip (8/5): We had a really lovely stay there. Thanks Heidi and Jim. - Position was great right in town. Lovely hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast and afternoon teas. Lovely lounge rooms to relax in and enjoy with the wood fire in one room. We were in the Petite room which though lovely and comfortable was external to the main house which was not ideal given the weather. Windows being all frosted glass was very surprising. We would choose a room in the house next time.
