Guest Reviews
- Donna (7/5): - Breakfast was lovely overlooking beach. Room was tired looking and cobwebs.
- joan (8/5): -
- Glen (9/5): We'll be back! - Great location, free parking, 10 minutes walk to shops, bars, restaurants and attractions. Breakfast is superb, great choice of drinks in the bar. Hotel is currently being refurbished, our room was really comfortable with a great sea view. Would definitely stay here again. 😎😎 The weather during our stay!
- Carole (10/5): 1st visit will definitely book again!! And eat in the restaurant - Location very friendly staff Beth very helpful on directions great parking fab brekkie Nothing
- katie (8/5): Lovely stay on Llandudno - The location. We had a spa bath and sea view Poor water pressure
- Amanda (10/5): Lovely stay - A lovely location on the West Shore, close to the Tram station, Orme walks on the doorstep. It has a great bar and restaurant with outdoor area. The rooms are clean and comfortable some with views over the bay. Nothing
- T & J Adams (2/5): - Not verybhelpful and way over priced
- Plant (10/5): -
- marie (9/5): -
- Chrissy (9/5): - Lovely room.clean tidy, and a lovely breakfast No body in reception when we arrived. Waited a while but had to go looking for someone
- CAROLE (9/5): - The views around from the bedroom and dining room windows
- Martin (10/5): Great for the night stay, Dale’s breakfast was the unexpected star of the stay! - We loved the location of the Lilly. Bedding nice and clean, lovely sea view; breakfast was fabulous - special mention to Dale the Chef - it was his first service and every mouthful was fresh and delicious. Quiet location, great for parking. We appreciate that the accommodation is a small family run affair - so not to expect a fully manned reception, but on arrival the bar and reception were both locked so we rang the contact number to advise our arrival and ask about checking in as we wanted to head into town and enjoy the nice weather. Several calls without answer sadly! A lady delivering new curtains as rooms are refurbished advised us to come back later and she would let staff know we had arrived and keep our booking. Without coming across her we would have been worried to be honest as there was just no one around, no answer machine, no contact info. The ‘rooms’ are being refurbished we were told - it would have been nice to have one of these newer rooms; room 7 was comfy, clean bed - the bathroom was very tired paint and tiling wise; loo seat was reported on arrival as was hanging off (it was secured ‘enough’ for our stay after that by the bar staff).
- Carol (10/5): - Everything NOTHING
- Julie (9/5): -
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Paul (8/5): - Great location. .
- Lisa (8/5): Ok. Didnt like going through the pub to check in. Lovely breakfast - Breakfast great, parking free, location great The bed was uncomfortable, mattress lopsided.
- Katie (10/5): Our new favourite hotel in llandudno - Room was beautiful very clean and spacious with an amazing view. Staff were very friendly. Both me and my partner have stayed in a few hotels in llandudno and the silly is definitely our favourite and we will be back, Nothing
- Anita (10/5): Brilliant and comfortable - brilliant rooms and staff. Great breakfast as well rooms good do with a bit of attention. Table lamp not working one side of bed and when shut shower door edging came off in hand
- Maggie (8/5): Very pleasant stay in a favourite location - Fabulous location. Owners very pleasant. Comfortable room with amazing views. Splendid breakfasts, very reasonably priced and enjoyable evening meals. I felt very relaxed and had a very enjoyable stay. Property is lacking in care and attention. Outside looks very scruffy and not kept tidy .. ie weeds and rubbish flying around.. Outside tables could do with a lick of paint, as could the Reception door and lock be repaired!
Communal areas within the hotel were not hoovered. I fully appreciate that the owners are refurbishing rooms and these comments are an observation and are intended as constructive criticism because it is a lovely property in a stunning location.
Simple things like removing weeds from the front steps and the rubbish that the customers leave behind (or a bin for them to use!)
More staff needed .. when busy, the bar person is torn between food and orders/delivery of food orders and serving drinks at the bar. I saw a number of people walking out because there was no-one serving at the bar. As the only place serving alcohol and doing meals in the whole area of the West Shore, a second pair of hands for serving and also tidying generally would pay dividends.
My room was generally clean, but I noticed alot of dust on the pipes and skirting boards. Radiator didn't work when it felt a bit chilly on a couple of the evenings. There is no radio in the room as listed on the facilities.
- Ian (9/5): Would go again - Great food, location and staff.. Coming home
- Charlotte (8/5): Ideal location for beautiful sea views - Beautiful sea views and a lovely spacious clean room. The free road parking was a bonus. No permanent staff on reception for check in or check out or if you have any questions.
- John (10/5): Going to stay there again - Ground floor room was good because climbing stairs difficult breakfast the best staff great very attentive and made you feel very much at home Bad taste in music and to loud that is the only thing I didn’t like
- Pam (7/5): Clean, comfortable but disappointed - Nice & clean, great meal in the restaurant & nice cooked breakfast We were not able to eat in the restaurant the second night or use any facilities due to a private wedding reception being held. Therefore we couldn’t access all the facilities advertised on both days of our trip . We were not informed that this would be the situation on the Saturday
- IWONA (8/5): - Jedzenie! Czystość !
- Martin (9/5): -
- Alison (10/5): -
- Carmen (7/5): Excellent chef and very friendly staff - The food and customer service were excellent The shower was a little temperamental and the bed head was loose but these were minor irritations
- Dodds (10/5): Great stay - The breakfast was lovely Nothing, brill stay

- Sheila (8/5): Could have been better in the bedroom . - The food was lovely ,in a nice area plenty of parking off road . Rooms should have been kept clean on a daily basis .Clean towels would have been nice .

And Breakfast cooked to order was perfect 👌 There wasn't anything not yo like
- Samantha (8/5): Sea view, spacious, clean and welcoming - Good location, bedroom was lovely and clean. Very spacious. Enjoyed the sea view and we managed to be lucky with the weather too!
Staff really friendly and attentive, breakfast was nice and the dining area was also nice, we sat by the window with a sea view. Short walk into town, directly across from the beach. We walked around the Great Orme which also set off from the property. Plenty of street parking which is free. The bed was a little hard, other than that we would definitely stay again but I did find I was tossing and turning a lot because of this.
- Zena (8/5): - Great hotel, lovely location and fabulous staff. We had a lovely big room with fabulous views and the breakfast was really good. Can't fault it for the price
- Eric (10/5): -
- Christopher (8/5): We would return - Excellent food. Welcoming staff good location. Rainfall shower. Fine for men who want to wash their hair everyday. Not so good for women
- Katie (9/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): -
- David (10/5): - Perfect night away, Parking outside was free and easily accessible. Evening meal was lovely. Breakfast was great a good selection to choose from! Location is brilliant right on the sea front and the staff were great, very welcoming! Our room was lovely with the sea view and the bonus of an upgrade when we arrived. Will definitely look at staying here again when we come back to Llandudno! Nothing
- Karen (10/5): Great, all good. Thankyou all - Breakfast, full english, beautiful. Cereals etc readily available. Really enjoyable. Dining room very pleasant. Bar area cosy fire and met nice people. All good The weather...... everything fine 🙂.
- Julie (10/5): Great place to stay - Room great with sea view, comfortable bed, large bathroom with jacuzzi bathtub.
Great breakfast, lots of choice, perfect portions. Paul, the chef is a great cook and very attentive to guests.
We would definitely stay here again.
- bren (10/5): All round great 👍 - Nice location right next to the beach .great walk in the morning.
Nice breakfast.
Parking is easy and free right outside.
The staff are great and nice and friendly keep it going 👌👌👌👌 I didnt like the pump hot water flask thing at breakfast.
Sorry but thats the only thing I could fault.
- Cathy (10/5): -
- Jessica (6/5): Great location, great food. Just needs a bit of a polish! - Locations great as it's on the quieter side of the town and you can see the sea. We had a great lunch and it's a nice little spot to sit and play a game of cards together (I came with my 11 year old son). The price was brilliant. Some of the staff were great and really friendly but in the early evening we returned to the bar and made our way up towards the back as we wanted to settle down and order a drink and play a game of uno. But I got shouted at by the barman for the toilets being there for guests only, firstly I wasn't even using the toilets, secondly we were paying guests... I did point this out and he looked a bit sheepish and just said it's been a busy day. But I was quite embarrassed as other people saw and wondered what we must look like if he thinks we are just rabble off the street. I then ordered some drinks and crisps and if I had been the barman I would probably have reiterated that I was sorry and given us a drink or the crisps on the house just to make up for it but he was pretty stoney. The first guy earlier was much nicer and more friendly so it was a bit of a shame. The room was fine, a bit tired and decor not to my taste but for the price we paid it was more than acceptable.
- dena (8/5): -
- Antonia (8/5): Comfortable and relaxing - The breakfast was nice, the selection of cereals and fruit were poor, and the room they served breakfast needed updating and a little attention. Cellotape keeping wall paper on decor old and doesn’t match rest of hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with stunning views.
Staff were lovely.
- Lynne (10/5): Wonderful so close to sea front...relaxing.. - Breakfast was lovely. Room was lovely sea view and quiet. I stayed with my 10 year old grand daughter and she was made very welcome. Maybe the welcome...staff were busy in bar area.
- Ian (9/5): - Unable to provide different types of eggs
- Johnl (7/5): Good break - Very good All o/k
- Jean (6/5): Adequate. - Breakfast was reasonable but limited choice.
Location was good with free parking on the road. The room was basic, the shower was poor.
- Lesley Jane (8/5): -
- Dean (10/5): Great hotel and all round fantastic stay. - Great hotel, staff where very welcoming and Beth is a credit to the hotel. She looked after us and made us feel at home.
We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal and the food was excellent. The locals made us feel welcome. Nothing, all good.
- Darrell (10/5): - Everything polite very helpful staff great beer cosey fire the hotel is excellently furnished. The only thing we experienced was the food was not hot enough for evening meal, my comments were taken serious they were taken as positive feedback and are acted on, I will defo stay again
- barbara (8/5): - The staff was lovely breakfast superb view from room amazing with see view Room too small more for a single person walking in the main entrance a bit dated
- ANNA (10/5): Wspaniały obiekt - Wspaniała lokalizacja, bardzo pomocny personel. Śniadanie welsh wyśmienite ,polecam wszystkim i na pewno jeszcze raz tu przyjadę latem.
- rachel (10/5): - Everything. Could not fault this place. Staff were nice. Food was tasty both at breakfast and in the restaurant. Beautiful setting and welcoming environment. Lovely view of sea and mountains. There was nothing we didn't like
- Tracey (8/5): Good value for money, nice staff - Location, breakfast was good. Evening meal in restaurant was fab. Staff were lovely and friendly and helpful. Nice bathroom and good shower. Nice big room but only double bed, could have easily had a king size bed.
Not much privacy as we had ground floor room and no voilles at window so had to keep curtains closed. Outside area untidy.
- Beverley (8/5): One night stay - Friendly. Great for parking. Good breakfast . Lovely toiletries in room. No hairdryer in room.
- Roger (8/5): -
- Sue (7/5): -
- Cathy (10/5): - Lovely room very clean
Really nice breakfast friendly staff great location
- Shirley (9/5): - Beth the young girl on reception and bar and absolute gorgeous girl very helpful. Room spacious, needs a few tweaks #toilet seat# radiator . Breakfast delicious and plenty of of it. Manager polite and friendly. Locals knowledge of area fab and lovely company. An amazing private lounge area !!
- Alison (9/5): Amazing stay - Lovely stay at the Lilly. Fantastic b&b
- Daniels (10/5): - The atmosphere and how cosy it was
- Lomaxl (8/5): Lilly - It was located in an excellent spot beautiful views, quiet location and rooms lovely. One Staff member we met was friendly, breakfast fabulous. Due to no seating in the room I would of preferred the bed on the other wall so that your not sat funny to watch tv. The mattress seemed a little small for the bed so we're on the frame of bed when sat, attention to chrome work in bathroom and window.
- Perry (2/5): Not happy from start to finish for the price we payed. Will never stat there again - Excellent service and breakfast location good too Heating in bedroom was terrible always cold 24/7. Room needed updating and decorating
- AADPXX (10/5): - Alles einfach zauberhaft 😍
- Jen (10/5): Chilled out mini break - It was right on the front of the West Shore of Llandudno, very chilled out. Good location to have a walk up and down the beach. There was plenty of space to park just in the road next to the restaurant.
The breakfast was tasty, I also had roast dinners in the evening, Turkey and Pork and both were really nice and filling. The mulled wine was a nice option to have at the bar and there was a really nice cosy atmosphere in there.
The decor everywhere was lovely as it's recently been refurbished. The lounge for the guests staying there was lovely with the Christmas tree and Harp, cosy atmosphere again.
The room was great and I had a sea view.
All the staff I came in contact with were friendly and attentive.
Paul the chef served me breakfast, which was a full English, there was also a small continental section. Paul also very friendly, he took a genuine interest and also helped organise for me to stay another night which was really nice of him! .
- Darren wigg (10/5): -
- terence (10/5): - Great staff excellent food
- James (8/5): -
- Headley (10/5): We absolutely love this hotel, the food & the room's decor. We wont stay anywhere else in Llandudno - This was our second stay here & this time we had other family members staying there too based on our recommendation. Our room was beautiful & the bed was very comfortable. We all had dinner there & the food was absolutely stunning. Breakfast the following day was again amazing quality. The staff are very welcoming. We loved Toby's lounge & have now seen the new breakfast room on social media (it was being renovated during our stay) The attention to the small details. The mirror in our room was hung on a big screw which didnt look nice. There were bulbs out on the main light in our room. There was a large damp area in the main bedroom & the paint had peeled off the wall. Both my partner & myself slipped in the shower as there isnt any grip on the shower base.
- Xiaotian (7/5): Great experience as the staff was wonderful. - Staff were very friendly and helpful, location is great, view from the room is stunning, breakfast & dinner were delightful - could tell the chef put a lot of thoughts into it. The room we were staying only had a bath that functions as a jacuzzi. It’s great if you’re not short on time and don’t mind the water temperature being on the slightly cooler side as it does take some time to fill up the bath.
- lee (10/5): Warm welcoming extremely comfortable staff amazing - Suoerb wuite location spotlessly clean .
The owners and staff were delightful extremely helpful the breakfast area which had been recently refurbished was outstanding amazing stay We loved everything nothing to dislike
- claire (10/5): -
- Melanie (5/5): Cold and damp - Restaurant and rooms lovely Rooms upstairs damp and cold
- Karen (9/5): -
- Caroline (10/5): Excellent welcoming customer service, very comfortable. - Staff were excellent, what a huge asset to this hotel. Nowhere in the bathroom to put wash things near the sink. USB plug sockets would be an easy thing to switch to.
- Andrew (9/5): Peacefully part of Llandudno but great views, friendly staff. - Friendly staff, lovely room, excellent shower Slightly jaded exterior.
- Danielle (10/5): -
- David (8/5): see answer above - Nice and cosy not to much fuss nice room great breakfast sea view as well just a nice one night stay no issues
- lucy (10/5): Very comfortable and cosy stay at The Lilly. - I was expecting to get the smallest room in the hotel for the money we paid for the night. We actually, without asking, were put in a lovely double room, very smartly presented, clean etc and with a sea view. It was exceptional value for money. The breakfast was very filling, I didn't need anything else for the rest of the day. The location is on West Shore which is a quieter part of Llandudno so, lovely and quiet in the evening and morning, great sandy beach, play area over the road for children. Dog walkers paradise and thankfully not overrun with pigeons taking aim at your car. Lots of space to park too.
- Stephen (1/5): -
- Carol (7/5): The bed was very comfortable. Nice big television in the room. It was a shame we were woken with noise from outside. Vib - Great location. Beth was lovely and helpful. Nice place The breakfast could be improved
- nicola (10/5): - It had a sea view
- Amanda (8/5): - Couldn’t find a fault. Thank you Nothing
- Claire (8/5): - Staff were great Room could do with some paint in places
- Nichols (4/5): - Location good Very uncomfortable bed also dirty shower screen dirty mark on duvet cover.
- Linda (8/5): - The location was amazing and the hotel itself was lovely. The room was lovely and set out very well, but it could have done with a good clean. Everywhere was really dusty.
- Timothy (9/5): Support a great place like this!! - The views were amazing from our rooms. They were well equipped and.very clean. Everyone should support non brand hotels like this. Nothing lovely place
- Ogden (10/5): -
- Richard (9/5): - Nice staff. Great location, free parking outside. Quiet at night. Good breakfast. Nice room. Thank you.
- Ratusznik (9/5): -
- Judy (8/5): Lovely place for an overnight stay but needs attention to detail. - Great staff, lovely building and great location with more than adequate on street free parking.
Breakfast was good.
Lovely sea view and a few steps from the beach.
Large room with all the usual facilities and a huge bathroom with bath.
Nicely decorated with lovely tiles in the bathroom and unusual light fittings in the bedroom.
Nice public bar area. This is a lovely place and the tweaks required to make it exceptional room-wise (room 8) are minimal.
The whole building was way too hot and I would hate to have their heating bills! The top window in the bedroom needs repairing and we couldn't open it. The radiator in the bedroom has a very loose control but eventually we were able to turn the radiator off. There needs to a table lamp of some sort on the dressing table as far too dark to do hair and make up.
The bathroom was huge and could easily have fitted a shower in as well instead of the massive unit. All of these are small improvements.
The big thing was that mattress needs replacing. Lumpy and unsupportive, way too soft, and the roll together effect in the middle of the bed.
The other big issue was dinner in the restaurant. It was a game of 2 halves. My partner had a lovely plate of fish and chips whereas I opted for the steak pie with mash. The pie was not homemade and it was also microwaved which made the pastry soggy. The mashed potato was small in quantity, lumpy and tasteless. Minimal veg which were passable and the gravy was also passable. Definitely not worth the cost and would not recommend. Very disappointing as other plates of food such as burgers looked good. I would probably opt to eat out next time.
- Nicola (8/5): Worth a stay. - Location excellent. Beautiful sea views. A short bus ride in to Llandudno centre or a 30 minute walk. Park opposite which was great and our 5 year old thoroughly enjoyed himself there.
Ample car parking outside the premises.
All rooms are different. Plenty of wardrobe space.
Restaurant had a good feel and food was mostly excellent. Superb menu.
Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and friendly service.
Would stay at this place again. One of the rooms was freezing cold and initially when we brought this to the attention of one of the staff, he was not helpful. However, he did eventually come up with a solution which thankfully worked.
