- Tanya (2/5): Unpleasant stay! Definitely not returning to this lodge - We have stayed at this lodge at least 5 times already and were extremely disappointed in our last unpleasant experience. The rooms are in serious need of an upgrade - our shower could not close because of a door missing, the bathtub was full of stains, the basins in the bathroom were both blocked, damaged tiles in the bathroom and cupboard doors in the room that could not close properly. The room was obviously not cleaned properly as there were spiderwebs and dead bugs everywhere!! The service received from the staff were NOTHING we've experienced with our previous stays - only 1 person seen taking orders, clearing tables and serving at the bar. Breakfast was horrible - no mugs for tea/coffee, no jugs or glasses with juice set out, very mediocre, ice-cold breakfast served and my husband waiting at the bar for how long before being served! Whilst the owner is playing pool right next to him, ignoring the fact that no one is serving him. We have lost money because we decided to leave after the first night, with no interest as to the reason. Sorry to say, but this place has gone from one of our favourites to not seeing us again!

- Mmapula (4/5): Couple weekendaway - I liked the welcoming gesture of the host and staff. The friendly beautiful 2 dogs they have and the pools. The breakfast is nice. The small restaurant with a good service.. The sound of lions and cheetahs at night, made us feel away from home. The host was friendly and even offered us free cocktails The location, the road needs a 4x4 bakkie. The rooms were not that clean. One of the side lamps is not working. The water pressure in the bathroom too low. They advertised spa which is actually not available. The game drive has to be booked from another lodge,of which the host promised to book for us , only to forget. Most of the spa rooms were not ready for use and not used. For me, it was false advertising. The rooms are not cleaned daily,which was something I expected. The place is far from everything.

- Ouma (9/5): Serene Silence - The place is very peaceful. On our way there, we saw a giraffee and impalas. The place is picturesque as advertised. Sleeping in the bush and hearing the lions' roar nearby was so thrilling. Mr. Ray and his wife, plus the staff, welcomed us warmly, and we felt at home. They were available and ready to assist and tend to our needs, ensuring our stay was as comfortable as it gets. Even when we ran out of baby's supply, Mr. Ray personallyⁿ stepped in and assisted with taking us to and from the shopping center because our car broke down the day we were coming over to check-in. We arrived very late and passed check-in time, but we were welcomed so warmly. Breakfast was delicious. In fact, the food they serve there is delicious and served with love. There's also a bar which serves all drinks, so there's no need to go to another place. 1.Staff - There were few as a result, and housekeeping was not done daily as expected. The room was not thoroughly clean upon arrival. Found spider webs on the corners, two huge spiders behind the bathroom door, and a lizzard roaming around the thatch roof. 2. Location - the place is in the bush, very isolated, away from the city and services. It is very far to travel to and fro. There are places of attraction around but there are few. 3. Transport - there is no transport to get there. No e-hailing. Nothing. Owning a vehicle is a must if you want to get there and places nearby. Otherwise, you won't survive the stay. 4. Shopping centre-very far from the lodge. Spar, which has the most basic things one needs and KFC . 5. Spa-it was not operational as advertised because the therapist was away for holidays.
- Sharon (9/5): Truly tranquil and serene - I absolutely loved the serenity. It truly is tranquil. The sounds of animals and birds at any time of day made it that much more peaceful. The communication from the manager was great. The food was amazing, but some is too pricey for the small portions they offer. The chalet wasn’t sparkling clean, the floors were sticky and the shower had to be cleaned while I was there. There’s a level of professionalism the staff lacks. There’s an overfamiliarity demeanour they have. They made my stay almost seamless, nonetheless.

The staff was friendly and tried their best to meet our needs. The rooms we booked were dirty I really tried to be understanding but it felt like they hadn't been cleaned in days, I even found toys that looked like they were left by previous guests in my room. I asked for a broom to sweep the next day.I wish the had a better welcoming strategy when you arrive because the lady working there asked me which room I am booked in and I told her felt weird that she did not know.

We saw a lot of animals as we were driving within the property, even though we didn't orginise for a proper game drive The booking was not flexible, we were hoping to change a date but we couldn't. Easy pla - The location is close to a Johannesburg so great of a quick getaway. Host is very friendly, attentive and welcoming. Restaurant on site for 3 meals a day so you do not need to self cater but that is still an option. Induction stove in the room and braai facilities if you don’t want to eat at the restaurant. Lightning in the room was very dark. Very small bathroom and shower. Lightning from the outside is very bright and shines into your face when trying to sleep at night. There is no option to switch it off.

The security is very tight, without a code you wont get access and the owner is loving and caring for she got a good customer care knowledge together with the whole team. the massage was beyond my expectation , the massage ladies they know their job very well. the owner book for us a massage and the rangers took us for a ride to see lions and cheetahs.it was Wow when we visited the bush, it was marvelous to brush the neck and head of a cheetah kneeling down next to me. The place need some renovations here and there , Greengrass and the garden need some attention but otherwise the whole is place is good even the swimming pools are clean.

The food was delicious, my little one loved their pizza and she's not easy to please. Breakfast was good. The area is very quite and peaceful. A real getaway from the fast paced city life. Tip: there is a gravel(dirt) road to/from the hotel, so this is something to consider before you go there, especially if driving a small car. I would definitely come back again.
