Guest Reviews
- Valerie (2/5): Dirty and Faulty Apartment - This flat was in an appalling state. It hadn't been cleaned properly and there was dirty crockery in the dishwasher from the previous occupant. There was debris all over the floors (food, used plasters, hair) and the oven, fridge and furniture hadn't been cleaned for months. The TV, iron and lamps didn't work. The ironing board was broken. The lounge window wouldn't close and the resultant traffic noise meant that it was like actually sleeping on the outside dual carriage way.
- James (2/5): - I stay in Leeds a lot for work, i saw this little flat and booked for 2 nights instead of my usual hotel. I won't be returning. Boring as a hotel is they are usually clean, straight forward and usually hassle free
Issues:
Poor directions to the flat
They don't drop off keys, if you have bags you will need to carry them on a 15 minute walk from the location of the flat to the office
You have to pay a £250 deposit and they also charge a £20 "cleaning" fee per stay
The flat was disgusting! First thing I saw was a poorly made sofa bed which looked slept in
Then a half empty (full?) glass of coke which had been spilt and left on the glass table
Bed sheets and tea towels covered in stains
Dirty glasses that had been put on the drainer to "appear" clean
All cutlery had remnants of food still on them
Pillows looked unwashed, closer inspection showed someones snot
Half a bottle of coke, vodka & scummy toothpaste left on the kitchen side
You also cannot get by when the sofa bed is made-i didnt want it!
Going downstairs to go out I noticed that the electric cupboard was just left open, very child friendly!. The flat is on the 3rd floor, NONE of the lights work on the dark stairs and finally every door in the building slams shut so probably waking people up.
I'm sure not all 'apart-lets' are like this, but that was my first and probably last time.
Issuing a credit card charge back for the cleaning fee, disgraceful and stressful stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 4/5 review! - It was lovely to have our own space and the bed was so comfy. But the bedroom was noisy from the skyline window and cutlery was dirty. Would stay again though.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great central location - A small but tidy and well layed out apartment. Great location for the centre of Leeds. Has everything you would need, well presented and very reasonably priced.9'
- Marcus (4/5): Demand must be so good that they don't have a care - Positives:-
The location is ideal for access to city centre attractions yet quiet and peaceful with reasonable access to car parking. The Management are really polite and helpful when you can get in touch with them. The towels and bed linen are clean and good quality.
Negatives:-
The general ambience is of a run down, uncared for ex university hall of residence. Outside the main entrance is cigarette end strewn. Inside halls and stairways are very basic, with uncollected mail outside apartments. Some of the occupiers we met were really nice and gave us the impression that they were resident rather than visitors. The interior is extremely cramped, basic and badly decorated in white emulsion throughout. Heating is by old fashioned electric storage heaters. The Kitchen/Living Room was dirty, specifically, filthy oven, grease smeared extractor hood and glass topped table. Given that there is a cleaning surcharge of £20.00 this is extremely disappointing. Equipment levels good, but welcome in terms of basic tea, coffee, biscuits etc. non-existent. Demand must be so good that they don't have to care. If they want repeat business they should inspect and even try the property more often. If the cleaning charge is at cost they should sack their cleaners.
