Guest Reviews
- Clive (9/5): Delightful - The Cottage was cosy, tidy & located conveniently. Everything that could be needed in the property was available to make your stay comfortable. We had a small MS dog with us who was made to feel comfortable. The Breakfast a The Seafood Restaurant was superb as an add on with this cottage stay. Mark really went out of his way to make our stay a good one. The only drawback for me, and not to be picky because on the whole our stay was delightful, but I have always had issues with hotels etc and the bedding they use. Percale/Sateen sheets I try and keep away from has being a light sleeper most of the time, these sheets makes 'rustling' sounds every time there is movement in the bed.
It may sound abit picky, but I think that was the issue for me, and I didn't get a good nights sleep.

- Judith (9/5): A peaceful luxurious stay in a beautiful place - We loved our stay at Cosworth house which is a beautiful Georgian property. Our room was spacious with lovely furniture and a very comfortable bed with a view of the estuary. Very good facilities and a lovely bathroom with a free standing bath. Very comfortable aand peaceful. Mark the owner was helpful and attentive. Breakfast at St Petroc's was excellent. Nothing
- Dominic (10/5): Perfect. We will be back. - Modern, well equipped, lovely location. Very clean with everything you could want provided.
Comfortable bed with good quality bedding. Excellent showers and a big bath.
Even a welcome bottle of Prosecco.
Mark is terrific landlord/host. Nothing.
- Sarah (9/5): Great stay - Amazing cottage well appointed
Good access to village Noisy dehumidifier heard both in bedroom and bed settee
- Joanne (10/5): Comfortable, great location with thoughtful extras. - Lovely quiet location a short stroll from the village. Mark was a fabulous host who went over and above for us - when my husband needed to do a long work meeting online he arranged for us to access the room much earlier than the usual check in time. Everything we needed was available and more including a cafetière and fresh milk and a lovely big bath. We were at a wedding and it was a lovely room with lots of mirrors and room to get ready. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was perfect
- Susan (10/5): -
- Rebecca (9/5): - Mark was a really helpful knowledgeable host, he wanted to ensure we got the most out of our stay. The room was super comfortable; lovely sheets and fluffy towels! Breakfast at St Petroc's was delicious.
- Michael (9/5): Mark was a most excellent host who went above and beyond to help our stay be the success it was despite the weather. - Its location and comfortable bed. No garden or courtyard to let the dogs out into first and last thing.
- Luara (10/5): -
- Liz (8/5): Great few days in beautiful Padstow. - Great location and room v clean and comfortable
- Elizabeth (10/5): Outstanding accommodation, one of the best. - Beautifully appointed room with an incredibly comfortable bed and luxury linen.
Outstanding bathroom with excellent water pressure, fabulous towels, hairdryer and wonderful toiletries.
Excellent communication with the host, who was very helpful.
Delicious breakfast.
Very short walk to Padstow Harbour, restaurants and shops.
- euan (10/5): It was just perfect - Breakfast was amazing and Mark the host was absolutely fantastic! Nothing
- Audrey (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay in Padstow - Mark was great, warm and welcoming and made sure we were well looked after. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was stylish and well stocked with toiletries. The garden was a lovely place to sit in and breakfast at Rick Stein's was delicious.
The property is in a perfect location, easy walking distance to the harbour and great restaurants.

- Mac Connell (8/5): -
- nigel (9/5): - Great location. Easy to walk into Padstow although it is uphill to come back
Mark was attentive - but in the background rather than “in your face”
On top of that, he used his contacts to get us into Rick Stein’ Seafood Restaurant when we had failed
- ANDREW (10/5): Mark the owner was great, met us on arrival, communication before hand was very informative, - breakfast & location was brilliant
- David (9/5): A lovely stay made even more special by the attention to detail. Mark was the perfect host. - Comfortable, stylish with character. Generous sized bedroom and very spacious bathroom.
Great location. Nothing
- Ward (10/5): Excellent service from Mark and breakfast at the Bistro - We had breakfast in the Bistro. The food, service and room was perfect. Nothing
- Sam (9/5): Lovely little B&B in the perfect location - Mark, the host, couldn't do enough to help us. Whether he was helping us book taxis or making recommendations of where to go, we couldn't ask for more of him!
The room was lovely and clean, and the addition of the roll-top bath went down really well too.
Very well located, quiet enough out of the way of all the visiting tourists, whilst only being a 2-minute walk into the hustle and bustle It was pretty much a perfect stay. The slight downside was the breakfast that's included down the road at a separate location. On more than one occasion, we were seated and then subsequently forgotten about, and the full English was overdone, too.
Having said that, it wouldn't put me off staying here again.
- Mary Nell (10/5): Lovely stay in a historic home centrally located. - This is a lovely old home just up the hill from the main town. Mark was an excellent house and even found dinner reservations for us upon arrival.
- Jackie (10/5): Lovely room in a great location in Padstow. - The location is perfect for walking into Padstow, the bed and bedding are super comfy, the shower pressure is great and Mark, the owner, is very helpful, friendly and easy to contact. A minor thing considering the rest of the bathroom is lovely but the washbasin is very small and awkward to use (we stayed in the Veranda room).
- Keith (9/5): Very enjoyable a quiet and comfortable bed - Superb very nice choice and top quality food with a very friendly waitress Lynn
- Stuart (10/5): Wonderful relaxed stay. - Stunning property in the heart of Padstow. We were made to feel very welcome by our excellent host Mark. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows top quality. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely stay. Nothing
- Heather (10/5): - Our host Mark was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble.
Beautiful property and room. Spotlessly clean and every comfort catered for.
Perfect location with Padstow town and harbour right on our doorstep. Nothing. It was all great!
- Doan (10/5): Highly recommended cottage for a short break. - The host was excellent and accommodating throughout.
- Claus Ehlers (10/5): - Everything was just great. The apartment was nice in concept and very well kept & clean. Mark was an extraordinary host and lovely person to support with his experience all around Padstow and the nice places to visit around. TOP recommendation. Everything was great.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional service from host with high standards, great location and parking. - Mark is an exceptional host who provided a personalised service, always making sure we had everything we needed. Mark is well connected into the local business community so can 'pull strings' on securing reservations etc. Property is a lovely Georgian house that is thoughtfully decorated and in keeping with its period, room was large and comfortable with everything we needed plus a nice separate private bathroom. Location is minutes walk away from the harbour, shops and restaurants with off street parking. Good breakfast currently arranged with St Petroc's Bistro that is just down the road. Nothing!
- Piers (10/5): Great property, finished to a high spec, in a great central Padstow location with an amazing host. - The host was outstanding. He constantly went out of his way to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable and hassle free. He even managed to book us a table for dinner at two different Rick Stein restaurants even though they were fully booked!
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jan (10/5): Friendly host, perfect location in Padstow. -
- Alexandra (10/5): A lovely stay, with a very helpful host in Mark. Definitely recommend. - The room was beautiful and comfortable, very well looked after. Excellent location for all things Padstow. Breakfast with the Stein Group was also excellent.
- Alan (10/5): - Lovely bedroom and bathroom, spacious, clean and all facilities in excellent condition. Host, Mark was great. Very helpful and lots of tips for how to enjoy our stay.
- Barbara (8/5): It was quite a unique experience for us we usually stay in Hotels, but it was a pleasant change. - Breakfast was at Rick Steins Bistro a short walk away. Parking was available on the premises, although rather tight sharing space with three vehicles. The owner Mark was very helpful keeping us informed by text messages and met us on arrival day to help with parking and show us around the accommodation. The house was spotlessly clean with a modern stylish bathroom although not suitable for someone with disabilities due to stairs leading to upstairs bedroom and stairs leading to separate bathroom. The bathroom had a very nice walk-in shower as well as a freestanding roll top bath. The double bed was very comfortable with lovely crisp sheets and pillows. We had our own front door key leading into hallway and this was not shared by other guests. There is a pretty front garden which we would have enjoyed if the weather had been fine. If the bathroom had been ensuite instead of separate, although there is skirting board lighting to show the way in the night.
We stayed for four nights, but the September weather was poor, it rained most days.
- Victoria (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Brilliant Thankyou!! - Lovely cottage really near the centre of Padstow
- Gabriel (10/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): Cosworth house cottage - The cottage was absolutely stunning, amazingly clean. The bed was super comfortable. Double shower and huge bath. Superb location for Padstow. Mark the host could not have been more helpful such a happy lovely man even greeted us with a bottle of bubbly We had 2 lovely breakfasts at Rick Steins seafood restaurant included in the price the choice of breakfast was amazing, the staff at the restaurant could not do enough for us. The cottage does not have a garden but you can use the garden next door which was also stunning.
The whole experience was wonderful I would definitely recommend this property 💯 I absolutely stay there again. Can't fault anything.
- Malcolm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): -
- Robert (8/5): -
- John (9/5): Stunning traditional Cornish cottage in perfect location with all mod cons and first class host - Lovely property - beautifully decorated- stunning cottage in exceptional location . Our host could not have been more helpful- highly recommended! No outside area - sofa was quite small
- Shaminder (10/5): -
- Darrell (10/5): Super accommodation and perfect base for exploring Padstow. - The veranda room was very comfortable and all the touches to make us feel at home. Good location. Mark, the host was wonderful and made sure our stay was perfect. Nothing to comment
- James (10/5): Delightful place to stay in Padstow. You won’t be disappointed. - Room and bath beautifully designed with wonderful furnishings and fixtures. Meticulous in condition, spotlessly clean. The owner is very interesting and helpful. Very peaceful and quiet. All good
- Andrew (10/5): Padstow is such a wonderful village and staying at Cosworth House was the icing on the cake. - Everything. Great Large Room with Modern Amenities.
Mark was such a gracious and helpful host.
He went out of his way to make this a most enjoyable stay
Padstow is full of such wonderful places to eat with food and drinks to match. Cosworth House matches the exceptional food as an exceptional place to stay. Everything is a short walk which makes it a short walk back. Enjoy Padstow and Enjoy the cosiness and warmth of this lovely Georgian manor. Nothing to dislike, but it is worth noting the car parking is a little tight.
However, I suggest you do what we did, park your car and walk to where you need to go.
Jump back in your car when it is time to leave.
Staying in Padstow and Cosworth is about recharging and relaxing.
- Anonymous (10/5): Excellent all round - Extremely comfortable & clean to a very high standard excellent position overlooking the sea would definitely stay again 🤩
- Reg (10/5): The host was very attentive and any requests we made were attended to very quickly. - Location was very good to access the town. Car park on site. Big bathroom. Clean and well presented. Nothing
- Anne (9/5): Lovely view from the house, easy communication with the owner. - The breakfast at the nearby Bristol was out of this world. I can’t think of anything right now.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Ideally located, high quality and relaxing place to stay for a stay in Padstow. - Clean, spacious, very well located, private and well hosted B&B. Struggling to find any negatives. We intend to return.

We hope to return again soon.
- Margaret (10/5): -
- Gaelle (10/5): -
- Shantelle (10/5): Excellent, cannot wait to return. We loved every minute of it. - Mark was a fantastic host, it was by far the best place we had stayed in Padstow (we are regular visitors).
The bed was so comfortable and the shower and toiletries again were outstanding. No faults apart from a hook for our wet coats would have been helpful (it was a wet weekend)!
- Sara (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay! - Room lovely and cosy. Good position. Breakfast arrangement really delicious. Nothing much. Could have done with more plug sockets in the bedroom and would rather have had a dressing table. These are minor issues.
- Dana (10/5): - This lovely property is situated conveniently within walking distance of the center of Padstow, in a quiet area of town. Mark, the owner, went above and beyond our expectations, both in his communication and his accommodation of our family's needs. This vintage apartment is beautifully decorated---the enormous bathroom contains an antique iron clawfoot bathtub as well as a large walk-in shower. Mark left us a bottle of Prosecco which we enjoyed in the beautiful garden at the front of the property. He kept in touch with us throughout our visit, offering to make dinner reservations if we needed them and was very attentive. This property is bi-level, with two sets of stairs. A fantastic experience--we cannot wait to return!
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - perfect
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Edward (10/5): Great quality b&b in a great location - Great hotel with great furnishings. Fantastic roll top Bath and separate tropical shower. Mark was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely garden to sit in and nice views. Parking was fine. Location excellent, close enough to walk into padstow in minutes, but not too close to be noisy. Nothing.
- Richard (10/5): - Mark, our host, went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. He provided useful advice on what to do and see in Padstow, and made us feel completely at home.
- Jennifer (10/5): Owner so helpful and accommodating, location in the town within walking distance to all amenities, - Location perfect for the Padstow area,
Breakfasts were superb
Comfort and the room and bathroom beautifully appointed Nothing

- Jane (10/5): Highly recommend Coswarth House. A great place to stay on all levels. - Beautiful bed linen and towels, made for a luxurious stay, and the staff were really helpful and friendly. They even did some washing for me which was above and beyond, but such a help as I am touring for the next 2 weeks. In a peaceful location, yet well positioned for superb breakfasts at St Petrocs……I could go on and on Maybe some makeup remover pads would alleviate Mark’s concern about the towels getting stained? And also some biscuits to go with the excellent selection of teas and coffee.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (10/5): Brilliant padstow find! - Super helpful and friendly host Mark and an amazing Georgian house for the night!
- John (10/5): Fantastic -

- Katriona (10/5): Our fab stay in Padstow 😘 - We loved the Cotsworth house in Padstow. Room and bathroom were beautiful and spotless .
We were very hot as the weather was very warm but a fan was left for us👍👍
We were in very close proximity to the restaurants and harbour. Mark the owner was pleasant and welcoming . See you next year would love to return
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional host - Host (Mark) exceptionally friendly and welcoming; room wonderful; extremely helpful in arranging our eating out - couldn't have done more!
- Jonathan (10/5): - We had a lovely Cornish getaway at Coswarth House. Beautiful garden surrounding this boutique property. Mark was extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was more than a room and the free-standing roll top bath was an absolute delight.
- Colin (10/5): Hosts warm greeting - Our host Mark could not have been more helpful. He met us in the car park and assisted getting the car into a tight space. Mark showed us our rooms and covered general housekeeping items before leaving us with some complimentary bubbles. During our stay Mark also offered to help with restaurant bookings and suggested walk in locations. On checkout he asked about our stay and our atciviteis in Padstow. An excellent host whom we would stay with again.
- alison (10/5): Look no further… - Delightful guest house. Spotlessly cleaned with great attention to style and detail. Mark the owner is amazing and kept in touch before and during our stay to make sure we were okay. Wandering down the road to St Petroc’s for breakfast was a real treat. Location near the harbour and town is ideal.
- Tina (10/5): - Coswarth House is a cut above the other luxury accommodations in Padstow
Beautifully renovated and attention to detail couldn’t be faulted and location is 2 mins walk from the town and harbour
Nothing was too much trouble for Mark from booking to departure even though it was a last minute booking , even restaurant and bar recommendations
- Julian (10/5): Great stay - Coswarth House is a real gem in a great location in Padstow. We stayed in a beautiful room with lovely furniture, a comfy bed and very fluffy towels. The owner Mark could not have been more helpful from the moment we booked to the end of our stay, with lots of helpful suggestions and answering any questions very promptly. We were even greeted with a chilled bottle of Prosecco on arrival. It is a three minute walk down the hill into Padstow. Breakfast is at the Rick Stein Cafe. I have no hesitation in recommending Coswarth House and will definitely stay there again next time we are in Padstow
- Paul (8/5): - Very clean, ideally located and very friendly and helpful owner
- J (10/5): Excellent! - Amazing. Sue and Colin were fab!
Very well organised (even though we had to change our arrival time due to traffic accidents), friendly and accommodating.
Our room (Estuary) was lovely and well appointed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owners were so welcoming, we found the property close to the centre of Padstow with easy walking, the down stair door was annoying being slammed by other tenants one morning at 4am this was not the owners fault but maybe a closure would help, I have no problem in recommending this house we did not want to leave.
- Karen (10/5): Coswarth House is AMAZING!!! - Coswarth House is the perfect place to stay for a weekend (or longer) in Padstow. We absolutely loved the Brunyee Room with its charming period features, and recently renovated bathroom which was beautifully spacious with its huge shower and roll top bath. The room itself was spotlessly clean and the bed was luxurious and comfy. We even had a flatscreen TV with free access to Netflix and Amazon films. The separate access to our room made the stay feel secluded and private and away from the busy Padstow town and harbour - although its only 3 mins walk away. Coswarth House is certainly a very peaceful retreat for a chilled, relaxing break to the Cornish coastline.
We had a lovely warm welcome from Sue and Colin who gave us a complementary glass of fizz on arrival and shared a few pointers in terms of local attractions and food. Very knowledgable and friendly hosts. They were only a phone call away which was a nice touch.
Its the little things that make Coswarth House a very special place, like the complementary toiletries (from a local Herbery 'St. Kitts'), plentiful tea and coffee and a few pieces of flapjack and fudge to top it off. Not to mention breakfast at Rick Steins cafe every morning. Everything is catered for, there is literally nothing else you could want!
When we return to Padstow we will have no hesitation in returning to Coswarth House.
- Michael (10/5): Delightful stay - What a lovely stay we had! This started with a greeting from Colin who gave us a free glass of welcome bubbles whilst walking us through the local area! Breakfast each day is provided at Rick Steins cafe which is only a short walk from the delightful Georgian B&B
- John (10/5): Wonderful stay - Jack, our host, went the extra mile — even two — to make our three-day stay enjoyable. Wonderful sense of humor. We felt at home from the first minute we arrived.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely guest house close to harbour - Definitely will return Padstow is lovely, guest house was small but had beautiful large rooms and great bathroom, nice garden to relax in with a drink at the end of the day.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful Georgian cottage in fantastic location - Wonderful beautifully renovated Georgian cottage 5 minutes very easy walk to the waterfront and Rick Stein's famous restaurants. Excellent service and check-in. We wish we could have stayed longer! Strong wifi. Nothing to improve, everything was top-notch.
- Pete (8/5): Great room and facilities. Breakfasts superb - Great room and clean facilities. Had to walk to restaurants do breakfast. While meals were excellent, this arrangement could create problems for those unable to walk up hills.
- Michael (10/5): Coswarth House for the weejend - Absolutely top class stay
Beautiful house and rooms
